Gah...I hate this. It's hard to type--my fingers keep shivering! So cold...
Believe it or not, I can't wait to get to school. It's warmer there!
Yes, last week when I was sick, the power was out for 12-hours straight, and no electricity means no heater, so I went to school anyway.

This must've been the first time you've ever seen it? I believe I have mentioned that it is the worst thing I've ever seen. Did you sit through all of it?

Apparently, according to a middle school spanish teacher, there is a legal age limit to trick or treating, 14, in Maryland. That's just a little ridiculous. "Sorry, I'm going to have to arrest you for asking for candy." Well, I've certainly never heard of that.

Oi. Last day to complete my MIT application if I want to get into the Early Action program.
Oh, and we had to put down Angel, our cat, at the same time that I had to go to my NHS induction.

TGIFour day weekend here because of elections.

Anyways, I'm not having bad luck so much as bad timing. My first term just ended, so up until today I was buried in heaps of work. I'm all better now, though, so I'll be posting away.

Anyway more people celebrate Halloween where i am then Astral. But its mostly the kids that are into it.

Somehow I went from being Robin Nico to Wednesday Adams. Meh, their both still awesome characters so either way. I ended up helping set up in the morning too, and carve out the pumpkins. Also one of the clients asked Jason(head chef) when "The Goth One"(meaning mee) would be coming on stage. Jas told the client 'She doesn't. I find it funny tehe. The Goth One.
So someone thought you worked there as a... performer? o.o
Yeah, I don't get why, since I wasn't doing anything the dancers do and the only time any of the clients would have seen me was when I walked through the room to go to the toilet or outside. Or when I went behind the bar to steal the coke.

And why is it that when I dye my hair black and go all Gothic that everyone notices me. And I mean really notices me. And Why do I find it annoying.

Anyway I'll see if I can get a picture of meh costume... One I find the batteries for my camera.

Happy Halloween all!
More bad news woot! I can't find any secondary sources on my short story I've been doing my 6 page essay on. So even though I've already done a bunch of work on it, I'm going to have to redo all of it, including what it's on and get a new thesis. *sigh*

O.O Why are you phrasing this as a request? I should be the one doing the requesting here... By which I mean, please, can I?

...Less than a week ago, I was watching Idolmaster Xenoglossia; now I'm asking to proof read people's books. I'm such a nerd XD

Too old for trick-or-treating? What do you mean by that? I went trick-or-treating last year, when I was 17. I might also go trick-or-treating this year (depending on what my friends decide to do), and now I'm 18. Most people would say that's already too old, but screw that. You're never too old for doing what you like to do.
It's somehow funner when you get older, actually; you're not as concentrated on getting candy and more concerned about hanging out with friends and admiring their costumes, if they're wearing any.
I know, right? I'm 17 and I went trick-or-treating. It's fun! That doesn't change because a few years have passed. Time is relative; if growing up means not getting free candy, why would anyone want to grow up?

And bringing Melvin along is a great tactic - she's adorable, so people tend to give her extra candy. Which means more for me, too. I've got like four pounds worth this year. ...Granted, some of that is a giant box of black licorice Jujyfruits... seriously? Black licorice? Is there anyone on this planet that sincerely enjoys that crap?
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Y'know, they should really have mischeif night after Halloween. That way you can egg the people that gave you health bars

No, I'd never egg anyone, but I know some people who will...

There was an old lady that handed out apples where I grew up. Mind you there were maybe 4 kids within 20 minutes around her, but still!

BionicleMandi121 wrote:Speaking of which, is there a way to buy your book without shopping for it online, Josiah? I've been looking around and haven't found a copy yet. :x
...I was assuming it's being sold in bookstores, but thinking back on it, now I'm not sure if that's the case... oo'
Hi! You're thinking of the one book I self published. See, there's this thing about self published books... Anyone can self publish a book, provided they have several hundred dollars to put into it, the content and quality of the book doesn't really matter. Because of that, bookstores usually won't stock a self published book unless it's already selling really well (with the possible exception of stores in the author's hometown, cause of the whole local author thing). Problem is, unless you're famous or have tons of money to spend on advertising, it's unlikely that your book will ever sell well enough to get in bookstores. The annoying thing is, I actually did find a real publisher at one point...but they went out of business before my book was released. There's actually a full essay on the whole "getting published is nearly impossible" thing in the Extras section of PV. Long story short though, if you're not rich, famous, or well connected (seems publishing is one of the few industries my family has absolutely no connections to), getting your first book published takes a insane amount of luck.

So, as to how to actually get a copy... The book I self published (Guardian of the Stone) has been out of print for a while anyway. You might still be able to get a copy on Amazon though. And I've still got some spares, which I give away from to time (like when someone makes a decent donation to PV). Though I usually give the person a copy of the Word doc at the same time. See, when I self published that I couldn't afford a professional editor and, despite all the time my family and I spent trying to proof it, a surprising amount of typos slipped past. Plus my writing style has improved a lot since then. I actually gave that book a fairly major overhaul while in Japan so the printed version is kinda outdated. But you never know, it could be a valuable first edition some day...

Actually, I've been considering taking one of my books and making it available online. Kinda like a web comic, but I'd be posting a new page of the book so many times a week instead of a comic strip. Main reason I haven't done it is that I'm kinda afraid people would steal it since text is so easy to copy and all. But if I formally registered the copyright first then maybe... So yeah, still haven't made up my mind on that.

Silver, I e-mailed you (using the e-mail address tied to you forum account). I was gonna e-mail Stevenson too, but the address he has on here doesn't work anymore, so you can forward my e-mail to him if he'd like.

Hey.
My Halloween was actually fun after all! After marching band, me and a few friends went over my friend's house to watch Young Frankenstien, which is a comedy about Dr. Frankenstein's grandson. It was really long, so I actually didn't get to see the ending, but it was really funny.
And, I was in a t-shirt and I got cold and there were no blankets, so I was hugging a pillow, but then I saw another pillow so I took that and made it part of my pillow-blanket, then there was another pillow and I took that. Soon enough, I had an awesome pillow-fortress. :D
And we got ice cream. And, my sisters gave me candy! I couldn't believe how much they gave me, I would never have been so generous. Tango didn't give me as much as my other sister, but she still gave me enough.
All in all, Halloween, though different than usual, was very fun.

:O
Is that literally, or just an estimation?
I've never tried counting my candy by weight before. Hmmm...wonder how much I got last year.

me and a few friends went over my friend's house to watch Little Frankenstien, which is a comedy about Dr. Frankenstein's grandson. It was really long, so I actually didn't get to see the ending, but it was really funny.
I think I saw that movie, but I'm sure it was called Young Frankenstien. did it have Frankenstien and the monster dance in a theatre?
This is my RP Forum, Tales of Symphonia Adventures, or ToSA for short. Please take a look?

You know, I actually don't even think that Silver has my e-mail....we mostly communicate via the forums.

Hi! So you know, Young Franksenstein is a movie done by Mel Brooks, who has directed a lot of great comedies including Space Balls, Robin Hood Men in Tights, and Blazing Saddles (I've got most of his movies on DVD). Young Frakenstein actually isn't one of my favorites of his, still funny though.

Stevenson, you have been e-mailed.

I'm planning to update the RP Cleanup list sometime this coming week. When depends on a few things (most of which involve how long verious homework projects take to finish).
