Hi! No big surprise there, at least for me. Peter Molyneux (I probably mispelled that horribly but he's the lead developer for the Fable games) makes good games but he has a habit of promising far more than he delivers. So in the end you just get a good game, not the be all end all super evolution of the genre that he originally claimed it would be. Same thing happened with the first Fable.NabMaster wrote:I've heard a few people say that Fable 2 wasn't the holy grail of video games that people were expecting, but I hope it still turns out good.

Hey.
Blah. MICAA (the band shows we go to) finals tomorrow, which means practice will be tough today. BLAAAH.
And, I learned I'm probably missing this church field trip to the nearby farm. We were gonna shoot pumpkins out of a catapult! Waah....

Hey.
My bridge project is going awesome. Might just have to take a picture of it and post it here. :D But not really, since my camera has issues and the project wouldn't work with the scanner.
Yeah...three fathers thing....y'know I'm just not gonna go back to that....

Heso! I really, really want to post in ROM... but I... just have no idea what to post. Auu... I'll try to get something up there... I feel bad that it's not going anywhere... but Inspiration just... won't strike. Do you guys remember Inspiration? My pet Inspiration? He ran away. I haven't seen him since Sophomore year, Creative Writing Class. We were supposed to write... *shudder* poetry. He didn't like that, so he ran away.
In other news, I'm Getting Murdered in the Morning opens tomorrow! I'm actually kind of nervous about this one. I wasn't worried about Charlie Brown Christmas or My Fair Lady at all because I had so few lines, but... Parker's kind of the lead here. I didn't realize it before, but I counted up all my lines... there are 102 of them. Mary has 98, Harold has 63, and then the Bride and Groom - who are technically the main characters, since it's their wedding - have 48 and 41 respectively. About twelve of them are "Huh?"... So yeah. I talk a lot. Of course, memorizing lines is kinda my strong suit... If I can learn entire songs in Japanese, a few English lines should be no trouble at all, right? The thing with this play is, I... never leave the stage. Ok, well I leave the stage, but I go sit in the house. Among the audience. So it's really no different than being on stage. And that's what I'm nervous about. Knowing my luck, I'll get stuck sitting next to Haruhi or Mikuru... and they're going to talk the whole time, and I'm going to either break character or miss a cue. Although it would be fun to force them up on stage for the Boquet toss.... then again, what forcing? If it's Haruhi, she'll charge right up there and trample the Bridesmaids for the sake of catching that thing... My God, I hope no one says the name of the Scottish play before this one. So many things that could go wrong...

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

It was lonely... you promised you'd write to me, but you never did... the months passed by, and I still thought of you every day, but you never called. I never got any letters from you.
So eventually, I started to lose faith... I thought you had been killed in that terrible, terrible war. Or maybe that you had forgotten about me. It's been so long, you probably found another girl over there... I never stopped loving you, but I didn't think you cared about me anymore, so welcoming you back just would have been too painful for me... I'm sorry. I'm glad you've come back home *sniff*

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Well... Typing the name MacBeth doesn't bring bad luck, but it does tempt fate. You know, my friend and one of the freshmen I'm mentoring are thespians. I'm so going to make them say The Scottish Play. In fact, if(and that's a big if) I get in the spring play, I'm going to say the name very loudly and then procede to die of laughter when the play goes off without a hitch.
MacBeth!
Side effects of saying MacBeth in the presince of fellow thespians include, but are not limited to, beloved pets dieing, spontanious combustion, echoing screams from an unknown location, meteor strikes, and intense glares of social death.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Yeah, last year in The Jungle Book I got to sit among the audience. One of the nights one of my friends was sitting behind me, and it was REALLY hard not to break character, becuase she just kept talking to me. I broke character a bit, I think, but I was pretty good overall.Silver wrote:The thing with this play is, I... never leave the stage. Ok, well I leave the stage, but I go sit in the house. I may have not been the main character (though I was the main villian, which is awesomer), but everyone agreed I was, by far, the loudest. You could hear my voice crystal clear from the balcony. And then there's the scene where I started shouting. I remember at rehearsal the wolves were messing up so we had to do that scene over and over and over and...*rambles on*. Felt like I was gonna lose my voice.
Then there was the fun scene near the end where there's a silence and suddenly I jump up on a platform and start yelling. There's these three girls that sit on the platform, and the first time I did this I freaked them out so much that one fell off, and one of the other ones shouted "HOLY CRAP!" It was rather amusing, actually. Every time subsequently they flinched when I said my line. I'm a rockin' villain :D
Edit: After posting this, I realized I still rememberd the line. It was, "Bah! What do we have to do with this toothless fool? He's doomed to die! It's the mancub that has lived too long! Give him to me now or I will hunt here always and I will not give you a bone! He's a man, A MAN, and from the marrow of my bones I HATE him!"
I'm also really good at memorizing lines.

Large ham, much? Though, most people who play villains are required to be hams.Saber Knight wrote:Yeah, last year in The Jungle Book I got to sit among the audience. Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! I've been in some little plays at various religious holidays, and various skits in the one acting class I took, but nothing major. Though I did the voice acting for the hero in a Neverwinter Nights mod that I and some other guys did for a class project a few years back. If you want to hear over acting, that's what I did (I posted a link to a couple of sample clips in one of my most recent IPA Apprentice posts) but, considering the nature of the story and hero, I was supposed to over act. I had the most lines by far...but since it was voice acting I didn't have to memorize any of them.

Oh geez... I didn't break character, and I didn't get stuck next to talkative friends, but... I swear, someone must have said the name of that play. I wonder if it counts over the Internet...? If that's the case, Gar, I'll hunt you down and kill you. That's right - Parker was the murderer all along...
Anyway. Mildred. Mildred Montague. Missed. Her Cue. For like ten minutes. "That is unless Mildred... where is Mildred, anyway?" "I'm sure she's here somewhere..." *crickets chirping* "I'm sure she's here somewhere..."
And then Berger said the wrong line after the Urban Farms debate, throwing Eddie off completely and resulting in him skipping lines like crazy and... well, we cleaned it up, anyway. We got to the "Money? Greed? Revenge? Murder? I just can't make up my mind! Why don't you fill out those resolution forms that were so conveniently planted in your programs..." and from there, it's smooth sailing. We still got laughs. The audience still got cake. But man, we better clean it up even more tomorrow...
