"It's not my fault the DDR machine didn't like me" Kaida muttered to herself. "But this is more my thing anyway." She continued thinking of the many hours she's spent on the archery range working on her aim.

"Hmm?" the girl looked up. "Uh, yeah. Mostly anway, that falling mine cart scared me. Um... So why aren't you with the rest of your team?"
KAIDA & CASSI
"Ok then." the penguin tossed each of them a black disc about half an inch thick and several inches across. Kaida's glowed red while Cassi's glowed green. "Now just show those when you get to the end of the equipment line and they'll set you right up."
The girls moved to join the line. It was a bit long but seemed to be moving quickly. ((If you want to skim through the pamphlets the penguin gave you, now would be a good time, if not, just say so and I'll rush you through the line.))

"Hrm. I guess we just decided to split up." Mickey said with a shrug. "I dunno. Wasn't my idea. I probably would have gotten lost anyways." she added with a laugh. "So it really doesn't matter. Hm. I do wonder what they're doing now, though."

They soon reached the entrance to the obsctable course.
"Good luck Zack!" the girl called as Mickey and Zack headed off down the appropriate passage.
"Ready for this?" he looked over at Mickey.
((If you are, the race will start. Unlike last time, instead of me RPing your whole run, I'll be pausing it at a few points for you to make a decision. How well you do will depend on how you respond at those points.))

To summarize, the booklet contained the basic rules of the big laser tag game. The game takes place throughout the entirty of laser land, including inside shops and on rides. If you're playing, you're always playing.
Players could use their laser guns to shoot at players on the opposing team. I shoot to the arm or leg wouldn't "kill" a player but would numb that limb, making it harder to move. A body or head shot was considered a "kill" and the shot player's gun would be deactivated until they reached a recharge point controlled by their team (also, at least one minute must have passed since they were "killed"). There are 10 recharge points scattered throughout the area. To control a recharge point, a team must activate it with their emblem. It will then remain under their control unless reactivated with the opposing team's emblem. There are also 2 additional nuetral recharge points that recharge players of either team (one is right by the entrace of Laser Land, the other is on the opposite end). Guns will not fire without a certain radius of recharge points.
Each team also has a base. All new players start out in their team's base. The team emblem also starts out in their base but it can be picked up and taken elsewhere. Emblems are glowing sphere like things with strange symbols on them (there's a picture in the book). A "dead" player cannot carry an emblem. If an emblem is captured and brought to the opposing team's base it can be converted into a second emblem for their team (ie. Team A steals Team B's emblem and brings it to their base, now Team A has two emblems of their own and B has none).
If one team has both emblems when time runs out, they win. If neither team has both, the winner is determined by number of times the opposing emblem was captured, opponents "killed", recharge points controlled, and the like. The remaining time in the current round is periodically announced.
There's no map in the pamphlet (to make it more challenging) so you don't know where anything is other than the location of the two neutral research points.

Mickey nodded enthusiastically. "Ready!" she said with a grin. "May the best....um....obstacle course-er win." Mickey shrugged and laughed. It was clear she wasn't worried at all about this race, and she was doing it primarily for enjoyment.

Mickey and Zack went through their seperate entrances. From what Mickey could see as she sunk back into the slime, this course looked a lot different than the one she'd done before. She charged forward and soon ran into what looked like a small mountain covered with slime. There were vines and things trailing down the face which it looked like she could probably use to climb it. There was also a tunnel down near the base that she could head into instead. (You want to climb or go through the tunnel?)

It took some work but Mickey managed to pull herself up to the top of the ledge. She found herself far up in the treetops. A long wide branch stretched from the edge of her perch to a large tree in the distance. She ran down the branch, around the trunk, and then along another large branch. Coming to its end, she spotted yet another large branch in the distance that appeared to be where the trail continued. It was way too far for her to jump. Looking around, she saw that she could make it over by hopping across a series of other branches. There were also a lot of vines hanging from higher branches. If she was able to jump and snag the nearest one, she might be able to swing from vine to vine and reach large branch quicker, though there'd likely be a long fall waiting if she screwed up.

After a very breif hesitation, Mickey decided to take what appeared to be the safer route of hopping across the branches.

MICKEY
Mickey safely made it to across the brances and continued on. Coming to the trunk of another massive tree, she appeared to have reached the end of the path. Confused, she looked down and realized that the tree she was in was standing on the edge of a massive cliff. Below her, a crystal clear waterfall tumbled straight down into a large river below. It looked like there was no way to go except to follow the river...she just had to get down to it. Climbing down the tree seemed easy enough but that was about it. Though it was kinda hard to tell from her current vantage point, it looked like she might be able to carefully climb down the edge of the cliff off to the side of the falls, using a combination of the uneven rock face and some scattered vines. A brief thought flashed through her mind, reminding her that, if she was feeling particularily suicidle, she could run out of the edge of a nearby branch and try diving off into the water far below...
