Yeah, no. AVG is fine and all. For some reason it was having problems with my computer, but when it worked it worked pretty well. But almost all the geeks (in the technologically knowledgable term, not the socially inept term) I know have gotten annoyed with it for one reason or another...

Yeah, Alto Clarinet is a dieing breed. I am the only Alto Clarinet player in my county (maybe state as far as I know) at least in High School. That is, excluding the Contra Alto Clarinet which our section leader plays during concert. They say it's because the sound is drowned out in band, but I prefer its sound over the soprano. Maybe I'm crazy.
I take that back I am crazy.

I hate Norton. I used to have Norton but it would just start doing all these annoying things and whatnot. So i uninstalled it, got Avast! (another free antivirus like AVG... but better apparently. I researched before getting another one and there's this place that tests antivirus programs or something... I don't know. so um... right!) So when it ran the first virus check (which it did when I restarted my computer for the installation) it picked up a Trojan that Norton had missed.

So for all it's hype. Norton's not that great IMO. Just annoying >.<

Hey.
I feel soo sick. Yesterday, I had a terrible cough all day. Then, I had a football game for marching band (it was freezing! This is the coldest its gotte in a looong time), and therefore went to bed at 11. I had to wake up at 5:30 AM and go on a 2 hour drive to attend a 5 hour reffing seminar (with short breaks within those 5 hours). We then went to the second part of the reffing seminar which was an hour on the ice. After that we drove 2 hours home (I felt like I was going to throw up about half the way) and now I got home to see my dad doing surgery on my computer (trying to install a new graphics card). It turns out it's the wrong type, though the webiste told him otherwise. We have proof, and we're going to show it to the people at the store and hope they let us return it (which they probably won't).
I think I have a fever, but that may just be me. Sometimes it feels liek that when your sick. I do have a slight hedache, and I'm coughing and sniffling like crazy. Bleh. I feel awful.

In other news, we have Norton on my computer. It used to bug me all the time, but it doesn't anymore. It's good protection, though.

Alto clarinet? What are all of the other clarinets in the band? I thought they were all alto!
I guess I've been misled.
We used to have a bass clarinet, but he doesn't do band anymore. We DO have a mellophone though, and we're soon to get a euphonium (if that's how it's spelled :P).
Oh, and Tango (my sis) just got an Alto Saxophone. She's starting lessons soon.
I didn't take lessons for my first year of trumpet, just did the school beginner's band. I was able to learn pretty well on my own.

Well...ta. *cough* Blarg.

Hi! The internet came back on...but then my router started having serious problems. Fortunately, it seems to be fixed now. Which is good since, for a while there, I was afraid I'd have to run out tonight and buy a new one.

Astral, If Norton annoyed you with stuff you probably needed to tweak the settings. If you have it set right it'll just sit their quietly and handle everything (short of a big problem) on its own. Also, like any anti-virus, you need to keep the definitions up to date and upgrade the entire program every couple of years or so if you want it to catch everything. My only complaint with it is that it uses a lot of RAM, but they've improved that a lot in the newer versions.

Unless you've mistaken B Flat Clarinets(Soprano) as Alto Clarinets, your school is a very special school.

I've just gotten back from the first contest of the marching season, and I. Am. So. Happy! We did great! Let me see here. Color Guard got first place, preccusion and field commander got second place, and the band in general got trophies for outsanding general effect(we made the crowd go wild), and one for outstanding musical effect. And the pit precussion got first place. That is a lot better then the last two years I've been with the band. We got straght second in the last two years for the first contest of the season. Oh, and we were competing against one other band as well, so that boosted our chances of getting first place. Oh, and there were seven bands overall there.

Konbanwa. Posting from school. I got landed in a triple room, and it turns out one of my roommates was from my middle school. That was a pleasant surprise. Even more of a surprise was that she knows what Bleach is, and reads it online. From the same site I do. Very awesome.
My other roommate...is from somewhere I've never heard of, and I haven't had much chance to talk to her. She seems nice though.
Now to see what classes are like...the rest of my life is looking good so far.

Bleh.
I'm still feeling quite sick, which sucks since I have church, a hockey practice, something at 6 PM (I forget what it is) AND I have to get together with my group to work on a science project. Not only does that mean I have little to no free time, I have to do it all with a headache and coughing and sneezing. Plus, one of my groupmembers is at her dad's house, and we need to arrange it so she can actually get here.
Group projects stink. I hate them. I wish it was just a solo project, then I could just get it over with.

Cool. We have our first competition next week. Judging by the degradation this year of focus, I'm just hoping we can get 3 out of 4 songs played by then, even if we stand still the last song.

Ohayou. * yawn* I think that after getting up at 11 all summer and getting up at 8:30 every day for the school year before that has enabled my brain to completely forget how to function at 7 in the morning...Ugh, my head...
A friend from my high school is moving in today. I'll probably meet up with him and take some time to explore the campus; it's huge.

I got sick Friday. I'm feeling a bit better, but that's probably because I just took a nap.

I don't know when our first Marching Band competition is. Our show is only 3 songs, and we've got the first two down well. We're doing pretty well with our 3rd one too.
Bleh. Back to lieing down....

I had some peanuts accidentally, and that gives me a huge stomach ache. I'm not deathly allergic to them, though, I just have to lie down for a couple of hours.\

Hi! My grandpa had a heart attack and he wasn't in great shape to begin with... But he's stable and I was able to talk to him on the phone for a couple minutes today so that's good.

So Mandi, what college are you attending?
