Alright everyone, I've got an announcement, good news, bad news, and worse news.
First, the announcement. Basically here's what happened. My host reset the main node for one of their severs, which is something that you just have to do every once in a while. But, for some reason they're still trying to figure out, that caused a whole lot of stuff to rollback to the way it was about three and a half months ago. It hit the PV forums (but, oddly enough, not PV itself or any of my other sites) and some other people's sites. So that's what happened.
First, the good news. They had a very recent backup of the forums.
The bad news? It's so recent that it was actually created shortly after rollback took place so it's pretty useless.
The worse news. Although they have automatated daily backups and keep spare old ones in case something like this happens, said back up system apparantly hasn't been saving any backups for quite some time. Normally something like that would have been fixed pretty quickly...but the busted backup system kept reporting that it was working correctly and making the backups even though it wasn't so no one noticed till now.
So, there are no newer backups for the forums (which also happen to be the one thing I never bothered backing up on my computer, something that is gonna change now).
Long story short, barring some miracle (they're calling in the guy who designed the system to figure out what went wrong so I suppose there's a small chance he'll be able to magically restore everything), the last three and a half months of forum activity are gone for good. I am getting a bit of a hosting cost refund for all this (um, yay?) but that's about it.
On the postive side, I have come up with a system to help us get the forums "caught up" so to speak, as quickly and painlessly as possible. On that note, I have created a section called Time Warp at the top of the forums. Please read it for more info.

Fair warning. If any of you see me act wierd, it's because of the time warp. I spend so much time after school and during my free time that it's like my home away from home or second life or whatever you call it. This forum is like part of my life.

You know, I might be taking a break from the forums soon. You know, to see what my life would be without it. I was thinking about doing it some other times because I thought everybody was being jerks, but I knew that wasn't a good enought reason and the only person being a jerk to me was Marley. And I can live with that. But if something like this can affect my personaltiy, it probably would be best if I take a break from it. Mind you, I won't be doing that untill Saber Knight Saga is back.

Hi! So, to catch up, a whole lot of stuff happened. This thread got to over 900 pages, I got back from Japan, we all did lots of stuff, etc...
To Gar, while I hope you don't take a complete break from the forums, spending a bit less time on them for a while might be a good idea considering what you said.
Personally, I'm upset, annoyed, and a few other things but I think that, with the Time Warp Project, we should be able to recover well enough from this. Most of my friends are scattered all over the country right now so it's great to be able to hang out with all the great people here. We're all friends (more or less for some I suppose) and meeting everyone on the forums has been one of my favorite parts of all the PV stuff I've done, so I hope we can work through this without any serious trouble.

Sorry Josiah, but a complete and total stop to my visits to the forums for a day or two(at most a week) is in order. I'm letting the forums take control of my life. Well, maybe not completely and totaly. You'll just see me in IPA apprentice. But only there.Josiah wrote:To Gar, while I hope you don't take a complete break from the forums, spending a bit less time on them for a while might be a good idea considering what you said.
