Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Yep, policatal correctness really sucks. Heck, I don't celebrate Christmas and I still think that whole Chanaramakwanzmas thing is stupid. If a lot of people want to celebrate Christmas I'm fine with that, I don't need someone to try and "include" me.
I'm now officially on winter vacation! Yay!!! Unfortunately winter vacation here is pretty short (13 days counting weekends), which isn't so great. Better than nothing though.

I celebrate Christmahanakwanzika for fun, not PC.
But as far as I'm conserned, Christmas was a holiday made up to make pagans want to convert because they still wanted to celebrate their holiday. It isn't really Jesus's birthday. They disproved that a long time ago. It may be the day that Christians celebrate his birth, but most people celebrate the Santa part more now; it's mostly a capitolist holiday now.
It's more of a reason to get together with family than a religeous thing to most people I know.
Hey, Scientology is fun! I mean who wouldn't want to make up a religeon based on a fictional novel? Can't wait for the Church of Trek.

Heso! I think it's pretty much common knowledge that it isn't actually Jesus's birthday - that could easily be in July for all we know - but it's still reated as a Christian holiday and it always will be... meaning that, apparently, saying 'Christmas' will offend people. So I will share with you a quote from one of my friends...
"If I'm not allowed to say 'Merry Christmas', I want Hannukah off of school."
"If I'm not allowed to say 'Merry Christmas', I want Hannukah off of school."
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

You think Califroronia is cold? YOU THINK CALIFORNIA IS COLD?!?!? WELL, YOU HAVEN'T BEEN COLD UNLESS YOU'VE BEEN SHOVELING OFF THE DRIVEWAY WITH FIVE-FOOT SNOWBANKS ON EITHER END IN -20 DEGREE CELSIUS WEATHER WHILE IT'S STILL SNOWING!!!!!simsmagic wrote:I've made it to California, and boy is it COLD! I'm not lying. This is actually the most snow Ottawa's ever had on the ground at one time since they started keeping track in 1955. Which results in a lot of shoveling. Although down here in WIndsor where I;m staying, there's absolutely no snow at all, save for a dusting of frost.
And why does nobody comment about my writing? Is it funny? Does it need work? Does it outright suck dookie? It's sort of difficult to write without knowing what anybody thinks of my work.

You forget, I'm from Florida. I'm used to 70 degree weather during the day and around 60 degrees at night during the winter. I've lived with these conditions for over 90% of my life. Switching from that to around 30 degree weather is a big change for me.Doodleshark wrote:You think Califroronia is cold? YOU THINK CALIFORNIA IS COLD?!?!? How come your skin didn't boil off your muscles?
Water boils at 100 degrees, imagine your poor skin!

Heso! Farenheight-Celsius confusion FTW! This is why the whole world should just switch to Kelvins.

Hi! If you guys didn't see it yet, I added a Hall of Fame to the Forum section. It has the winners of all the past forum events and their prize images. So it's there if you're curious, or if you lost your graphic file. It also lists the approximate dates of all the yearly forum events. Speaking of which, I moved RP Week to the fall so the events would be more evenly spaced.
As for black people on the forums... I know we used to have some black members. But, as far as I know, none of the currently active people are. But hey, not everyone has posted a picture so I could be wrong.
On another note, I finished Reverse/Rebirth in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. Sure wish you could build your on deck in R/R, would have made the last boss a heck of a lot more frustrating.
Finally, my brother is coming tomorow! We're gonna be doing a lot of touring so I might not be on quite as much as usual over the next week or two. Just depends how late we get back each day.
