Stuff I've Watched Recently
Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
Currently re-watching the first half of Eyeshield 21, though I'll probably be taking a break soon as the later episodes are in mkv format, which I can't watch on my PS3.
Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
So, Angel Beats!'s ending really disappointed me. It's a shame, it was really shaping up to be something amazing.

Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
Really? I wouldn't rate the ending as that terrible, just thinking about the way it ended... everything was resolved, it was dramatic enough but not over-the-top, no lolmiracles as we've come to expect from Key... but it was so.freaking.rushed. They literally pulled out a ridiculous plot device, wrote off the entire cast, changed the personality of the main character drastically, resolved the big plot device and any other lose ends (freaking Takamatsu), and gave us a pretty significant plot twist in three episodes. That just... isn't how you do it. It's not like any of it was poor in theory. Even the Shadow thing I would have forgiven if they'd at least hinted at it before... it was just executed terribly. Thirteen episodes was not enough at all.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Still Watching Hetalia Axis Powers. The new ending is a little odd. I like the old ending better.
(and just to waste time, the original ending to APH)
Ne Ne Papa! Pour me some wine!
Ne Ne Mama! Ne Ne Mama!
I cannot forget the taste,
of that bolognese I had before!
Draw a circle, there's the Earth!
Draw a circle, there's the Earth!
Draw a circle, there's the Earth!
I am Hetalia!
Ahhh! With just a single stroke,
you can see a wondrous world!
Let's make a toast with our boots!
HE-TA-LI-A!
(This song is literally inprinted into my brain....)

Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
And now, let us see what upcoming anime we have this season.
List of anime.
Nothing that really catches my eyes, but if you guys know any of these series (excluding all the sequels), feel free to share.

Iron Man, seriously? Well, Bones stuff is usually good, so Star Driver has potential. And Bakumon and Tegami Bachi are based on fairly good manga. And, um, nothing belong the second line is loading for me so that's all I can comment on. I probably won't be seeing any of these in the near future anyway since I'm not in AZ for my old anime club anymore and I've got a rather large backlog of stuff to watch.

Now-a-days the only anime I like and probably will ever watch is Yu-gi-oh. Why? The hilarious Abridged series. I wanna make sure I know what I'm watching seeing that I saw the abridged series before the original.
1 John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

Oh Wow. Okay, so Kaida just got back from the movies and oh wow.
Okay so I just saw Tomorrow When the War Began. For those of you who don't know its based off the first book in 'The Tomorrow Series' by John Marsden. It a well know book series here in Aussie and used in most schools in litriture. I'm not sure how big it is over seas but virtually everyone here has either read it or has heard of it.
But anyway, they kept in all the important stuff, they did change some things but it was still good. I can understand why they left out some parts or changed things, example, in the books the characters are 16/17 and in the movies their 18+, which isn't majour or anything, its just that after the war they go back to high school, and are in high school in "The Ellie Chronicles" (2nd series, not as good as the first).
So yeah, but its still a good movie.

Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
Been watching Avatar: The Last Air Bender series. I admit I stayed away from it when it first came out but I do regret doing that now :)

Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
So what series did I watch so far this season?
Pokemon BW along with Panty and Stocking.
Yeah, this season really has nothing. Pokemon's there just because I have nothing. Panty and Stocking is interesting, it's like a fusion of the usual Gainax comedy and a Cartoon Network show.

Adult Swim. Please specify Adult Swim. The art style is very Powerpuff Girls, but the humor is very... Adult Swim. And maybe Nickelodeon? I mean, if you start the series off with an episode dedicated to toilet humor... Oh, also a lot of cursing. Yes, I know there's no "real" curse words in Japanese, and no, it's not the subbers. They used... English curses. A lot. It was weird...

Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
I have to admit, I'm usually rather behind the curve when it comes to new anime. For stuff that gets liscensed for a US release, I usually just wait for the DVD sets to get released here. While I do watch fan-subs of unliscensed stuff, I often have a tendency to wait until the series (or at least season) is finished so I can watch the whole thing straight through. Plus, I've got a whole bunch of old anime that I haven't seen yet and want to watch as well, so that keeps me busy.
I just finished up season 2 of Haruhi (Endless 8 isn't nearly as much of a problem when it's on DVD). Next up is Gundam Seed Destiny and a random assortment of Disney movies I got from my last Disney Movie Club order. After that, I have fansubs of some assorted Macross and Gundam series, one or two other random shows, and a complete set of Sailor Moon (also subbed) waiting.

Re: Stuff I've Watched Recently
Okay, so quick update. I watched the Professor Layton movie. That one was awesome.
Also, I looked at another new series this season. Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai. A series about a normal guy who has a closet-otaku little sister... who is a lolicon herself. Fairly entertaining.

Well finished the Avatar Series. Man it was good and had a great ending to it. Can't wait to see what they do with the spin-off mini seires that airs next fall :)
Now I should go and finish afew of my anime that's been sitting on the shelf for awhile.
