The PV Forum Awards 2012

It's that time of year again when we determine the best forum members in the following catagories.

Best Overall Poster
For the person who is just all around awesome no matter what type of thread they're posting in.

Nicest Poster
For the most friendly and considerate person.

Best Role Player
For the person who makes the best posts in RPs.

Most Fun Poster
For the one who makes the most amusing posts and keeps things lively.

Best Gamer
For the one who makes the best posts in game threads.

Best New Member
For the best member who joined over the past year (July 2011 or later).

Special Achievement Award
To recognize a special contribution someone has made to the forums, such as running a particularily great RP, starting a really neat game, or whatever else you can think of.


You have from now until the end of the week to PM me your nominations (DON'T POST THEM HERE). Just send me a PM listing who you want to nominate for each catagory. The rules are:
1. You can nominate any forum member (except yourself) for any catagory.
2. You can only nominate one person per catagory.
3. You can't nominate the same person for more than one catagory, except for the Special Achievement Award, for which you can nominate someone you've already nominated for something else.
4. For the Special Achievement Award nomination, list both the person you're nominating and what you're nominating them for (i.e. being an amazing Mafia narrator).

I'll review the nominations and select the top two or three of people in each catagory (based on number of nominations received and a few other factors) and post the finalists on Sunday (the 24th), at which point we'll vote for the winners.

Forgot to mention it before, but the voter bonus comics featuring the winners will likely start running next week. In the meantime, if any of you have a character spirte you want me to use (that I don't already have), please get it to me ASAP.

...Yeah so I just realized that I totally forgot to vote in the second round... but based on the results, I think Josiah predicted who I was going to vote for and gave them the vote anyway. Except for that Silver chump. The Best Overall Poster? Jesus, what a joke!

But anyway. I am going to try to finally update that horrid old sprite that's been used to represent me for so long. However, depending on my feelings for Kid Icarus, that may or may not happen in the near future. Please hold back on making my thingy for now... but if you don't hear from me in a few weeks, it means I either forgot, gave up, or was too distracted by Kid Icarus, and in that case please just keep using the horrid old sprites.

Wow; I wasn't even here for the awards, and I still won something! I'm glad that the people here think so highly of me.

The bonus comic series started today with the comic for Poison and I. Cheez is coming next week. Haven't decided on the order after that.

And also, the bonus comic...yeah, that's normally how things go when I'm around. I'm normally forgotten about quite quickly or ignored. Maybe I need to wear brighter clothing...

About the only sprites I could consider "of me" are 8-bit overworld sprites I was playing around with back when I messed around with Pokémon Gold ROMs. Those wouldn't work, would they?

I've used a wide variety of sprites for other people in the past, so I could probably make them work. Or, if you have a game character you like and/or indentify with, I could use their sprites.
