As you may or may not know, July 2nd will be the 3 year anniversary of the Pebble Version forums, unless you count the old, old forums, which we're not. So it's time to nominate people for the 2007 Forum Awards. This year's categories are...

Best Overall Poster
For a person who is very active and consistantly makes high quality posts and threads, follows the rules, has good spelling and grammar, etc.

Nicest Poster
For the nicest, kindest, and most helpful poster.

Best Role Player
For an active RPer who makes good posts and really helps advance the RP(s) he or she is in.

Most Fun Poster
For the person who makes the most fun and amusing posts.

Best New Member
For someone who joined AFTER last year's forums awards.

And, new for this year...
Best Gamer
For someone who plays lots of games, follows the rules, and makes great posts in the games.

Special Achievement Award
For a person who made a special contribution to the forums (see the rules for more details).

Here the rules. You have all have one week, starting today, to send me your nominations for each catagory. Use PMs, DO NOT POST THEM IN THIS THREAD!

The rules for the nominations are:
1. You cannot nominate yourself.
2. You must nominate a different person for each catagory, except for the Special Achievement award, you can nominate someone for it that you've already nominated for another category.
3. Everyone (mods included) can be nominated for any category you feel appropriate. And for the first time, I can now be nominated too.

Now for a little more about the Special Achievement Award. This is to recognize someone who has done something special on the forums over the last year. For example, maybe you think that Silver should get an award for all the changes he'd made to IPA. Or maybe you think Shadowman's RP challenge battles are really cool or that Shauni did a great job deleting spam bots. Or whatever. People can win both the SA award and a regular award. When nominating someone for this award, please also include what event/accomplishment you are nominating them for.

Once the nominations are in I will pick the top two or three people in each catagory and there will be a vote to determine the winners. Winners will recieve a special member title, a graphic for their signiture, and a cameo in a Pebble Version bonus comic.

I got all your nominations and selected the top 2-3 nominees in each category based on number of nominations. If someone was nominated for more than one category I placed them in the one where they received the most nominations. The nominees are...

Ok, now that you have the nominees it's time to vote. You have one week to PM me your votes for the winners.

2. You CAN vote for yourself.
3. Make sure you vote in every category.

The voting will be closed next saturday and winners will be announced on Monday July 2 since that's the anniversary of the forums. Plus that might give me time to get the awards done before the winners are announced for a change.

Here's a few interesting nomination trivia bits in case anyone wants to know...

1. Stevenson got nominated for Best Member Named Stevenson, but that's not a real category (read Stevenson's Blooper Reel comic from last year if you want the story behind that).
2. Atma got one nomination for Nicest Poster, something which will probably surprise him as much as anyone else.
3. Best Gamer had about twice as many different people nominated as any other category.

Oops, forgot to mention something. I'd like all finalists to PM me and let me know which non-legendary pokémon they'd like for their title and award image if they win (previous winners don't need to, unless they want something different than what they got before).

Just cause some people were wondering, not being on the list doesn't mean you didn't get nominated at all. It just means you didn't get enough nominations to be a finalist. Nearly all the active members got nominated for at least one category.

Congrats to the winner and the runners up. The voting was really close this year in all the categories. Silver and Kaida, Opal and Shauni, and Artemis and Stevenson especially were neck and neck most of the time.
Your award graphics are obviously right here. Special titles with be updated momentarily, and the special bonus comics will start running in two or three weeks. Speaking of which, if you have a particular sprite you'd like me to use for you in said bonus comics, please e-mail or PM me the sheet.
