Forum Awards
Forum Awards
So, we kind of missed the Forum Awards this year. That said, there were really only a handful of active members over the past year. Myself, Silver, Poison, Shauni, and Stevenson. We could still hold a vote, or I could just assign awards to said people, or we could skip the whole thing this year. Any thoughts?

Re: Forum Awards
Wow, we've only had six new members join since the last forum awards, and only two of them posted more than five times. That... makes the New Member category a little hard to pick for.
That said, seems a shame to skip it... Maybe we can just reduce the categories? Like, just do "Best Overall" and "Special Achievement" or something?

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Re: Forum Awards
If you want to run it with fewer awards, I'm thinking Best Overall, Most Fun, and Special Achievement. Sound good?

Re: Forum Awards
But that makes it so much less likely I'll achieve my dream of having one of each!
But yeah, that makes sense.

Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:
Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.
Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:
Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.

Re: Forum Awards
Right then. We'll skip the nomination round due to low numbers. Go ahead and PM me your votes for:
Best Overall Poster
Most Fun Poster
Special Achievement Award
Since this is both for nominations and votes, you cannot vote for yourself. You have to pick different people for Best and Most Fun, but can choose one of those people for Special Achievement. For Special Achievement, make sure to note what achievement you're referring to.

I'll post about this in Saying Hi, because I'm not certain if everyone's aware.

I've cast my vote

"Shauni fell down a drainage ditch and died. That was the end of her pokemon journey. "--Shauni
Go to ROM the Comic

OHMANOHMANOHMANOHMAN JUST IN TIME FOR MY BIG COMEBACK!
Or maybe not, since this is pretty quiet at the moment.

Re: Forum Awards
Voting is now closed. I'll be announcing the winners sometime over the next two or three days.
Re: Forum Awards
And the winners of this year's Forum Awards are...

It was kind of late and small, but congrats guys! Hopefully things will pick up a bit by next year.
Comics will run after I finish the current Timmy Tonka set.
