Directions of Destiny

Well, I guess I may as well post my comic... even though hardly anyone's read Megatokyo... myself included... So here it is.

Directions of Destiny!

It was one of the first webcomics I read, but it stopped updating for a while. Like, an entire year. And then it started again! And then Hans Tseng was at Otakon! And I was too! And so was Stevenson! And he got a Pheonix Wright print! Drawn by Hans Tseng! Who also draws and writes Directions of Destiny! And it was cool!

...Anyway. The Plot is like... we've got the Alatus institute, right? It's a school for magic and stuff. Some weird monsters start attacking, and it's up to the Student Council to get to the bottom of it. So basically, Japanese Harry Potter. Which is reflected in the Art. Manga. It's nice and manga. Left-to-right this time, but still manga. If you haven't come to expect that by now... It's also got some nice references to paper-writing in there. You know, with chapter titles like "The Opening Paragraph" and "The Topic Sentence." Not only does it fit with the school theme, but as an AP English student, I... completely cracked up. I don't know why I found it so funny. But I did. I must be crazy. So those are some good Things to Know. Another good thing to know is that my Favorite Pages include, but are not limited to, this one here, this one here, and anything and everything that involves Xin.

I wouldn't really call it a Japanese Harry Potter...but it seems to be off to a good start. The art is pretty high quality (although the text can be a little hard to read at times) and the story is off to an intersting start so far. Kinda reminds me of a few other manga/anime with magic schools but not enough that it bothered me. Certainly has a very manga graphic novel feel to it. I'll be adding it to my list of regularily read comics.

Oi. I nearly forgot. Wrapped up in college admissions and honor societies and now honor band music.
Anywho. I think I've read 50 pages, and so far it's been a rather interesting comic. It does give off a graphic novel feel. I need to finish it sometime when I get the chance.
