Well, I'll post my comic for the week now, but remember that Modest Destiny's topic is still open. If you haven't done so all ready, go read and comment on that one first. Anyway...

Fox Tails!

Plot Summary: We follow the adventures of Keen Kotoru, average teenager, except that he's... started seeing things. Namely people with tails. Fox Tails. Hence the name. Upon meeting a Kitsune named Miyo, poor Keen's life descends into madness. I mean... SPARTA! I'm sorry, it had to be said...
Art: Well, it's full color right from the beginning, and the shading and everything look great... it's just that anatomical errors are quite common in the early pages, particularly in the human characters. But that's only in the earlier pages.
Things to Know: Fallon Willard's an otaku. Watch out for those Japanese culture references, like the whole Kitsune thing. Oh yeah, and the jokes get less overdone as you go on... I wish I could tell you to start from like page 100, because the more recent comics are good, but it just wouldn't make sense without the so-so beginning.
Favorite Strips: I can't link to specific pages because of the way it's hosted, but... any page with Dion is my favorite. Like 42. I know he's in that one.

The one who made it could profit off of the webcomic it's that good.

The art could still use some work. Color and shading aren't bad but proportions and perspectives on the humans could really stand some improvement. It definately does get better in that regard, but it's still not great.

That aside, the plot is entertaining and manages to avoid being too generic (still a little generic in places, but not enough to bother me). I can't say that the big overarching plot has me completely hooked but the characters and individual chapter plots are fun. I also have to point out that, unlike a lot of the other anime-ish story comics I've checked out lately, the author of Fox Tails actually has a decent sense of pacing and I never felt that the story was overly slow or being rushed. So that was a nice surprise.

Overall, not a bad comic. Didn't really "grab" me and the art isn't perfect but it's enjoyable and fun to read so I'll be keeping an eye on it.

One other thing though... Gotta say that I really dislike sites that use that type of mini javascript box set up. Makes it a real pain to link to anything other than the main page (which is why I didn't list any favorite strips) and it makes some pages (like the cast page) rather annoying to browse cause of the double scroll bars.
Speaking as a web designer and all (if you didn't know, I do some web design here and there to earn some extra cash)... The PV site isn't a great example of my work in that regard though (I was barely out of my first html class when I made it and hadn't learned Photoshop yet either), but at least the basic layout and navigation are good. I'd love to redesign the whole thing but (as I mentioned in a PV news post a while back) my plans for the redesign are a bit too ambitious for my current skill level.

I like the art and it definatly get's better and will most likely improve more. Although like Josiah said the propotions and perspectives really need some more work.

The plot is pretty good, and its definatly better then some other comic's I've seen. (at least it has a plot). And well I'm also having trouble linking to favorites. So I just... wont, but I do have them.
