Round 3: Super Happy Fun Fun Land

[Silver]

"Cool! I'm like... in the TV now!" Silver shouted as he looked around the somewhat familiar area. He didn't even notice the beam sword in his hand until afterwards.

"Ok. Well. First order of business should be... finding someone else on my team. So, like, they know that poor Saku isn't here any more and stuff. But that's what you get for just standing around for months. I guess my best option is to head to Laser Land, since Kaida and Cassi are both there... for the time being, off I go to the Giant Cool Looking Sphere thing!"

[Josiah]

MICKEY

Mickey stepped into the beam and vanished. A moment later, she in a small room. The only exit led into a long crowed hall. Everything her was made of a sleek and shiny black material. The lights, which she was having trouble spotting, were a variety of different colors, making for a very interesting effect. The hall soon led out into a large circular chamber. The walls were lined with stores and restaurants and what appeared to big a big signpost sat in the center.



KAIDA

"You're on a Portal Panic team?!?" Deke almost shouted but caught himself just in time. "That's so cool! Which team are you on? What's the difficulty level of this round? Wait, I guess you wouldn't know that. What'd you get on the wheels?"

Meanwhile, the two of them passed through the canyon and into the are with the laser coaster where Cassi had been a few minutes before. There was a group of red players hanging out near the entrance to the ride.



CASSI

Zinia gave her an odd look. "What are you talk about? Aliens? What's it matter if we're from different planets? Don't tell me this is your first time away from your home world. Or are you from one of those places that forbids relationships with anyone outside your race? Sure we may look a bit different but, Llazon, you, Dontaal, and I are all compatible," she giggled, "if you know what I mean. Theen... Well, not so sure about her."

The timer countinued to count down as they talked. There was still about 20 seconds left before launch, whatever that was.



SILVER

Silver had no trouble finding the main road and follow it to the Giant Cool Looking Sphere Plaza. Coincidentally, he arrived just in time to see someone who looked like Mickey (though she was too far away for him to be certain) step under the center of the sphere and vanish, just like lots of others were.

[Saber Knight]

"Hmmm..." Mickey mumbled to herself. "I could use some food....wonder what kind of food there is here?" Mickey then proceeded to check out the kind of food they had here.

[Kaida]

"I'm from the Earth team, we're the first team from Earth to compete." Kaida said as they got closer to the Laser coaster. "And I didn't get much this time, I got the Ability to jump really high and an indestructible Thimble. And what is that Giant Cool Looking Sphere thing back at the entrance to Laser Land?" She asked thoughtfully.

[Josiah]

MICKEY

There was a surprising amount of restaurants in the area, each claiming to specialize in food from a different planet. However, Mickey had never heard of any of the planets so she really couldn't get any idea of what any of the restaurants served just from looking around outside.



KAIDA

Deke was rather wide-eyed and dazed from discovering that he was hanging out with a real Portal Panic player, but hearing Kaida's question, he managed to stammer out a response. "The Giant Cool Looking Black Sphere? There's lots of stuff inside it. Stores, restaurants featuring food from all over the universe, and a big show, among other things. It's also the central hub for the park's transportation lines, which also happen to be some of the most popular rides in all of Super Happy Fun Fun Land."

[Saber Knight]

"Wow...this is all much too bizzare." Mickey mumbled to herself. After a quick game of eenie meenie minie moe, she picked a random resteraunt and walked inside, hoping to find something at least relatively edible and not too strange.

[Kaida]

"Maybe that's what it means by 'Look Up'" Kaida muttered to herself. "Thanks Deke, do you think you can show me around there once I find my friend?" She asked him with a smile.

[Giga-Gar]

Gary stepped up to the booth and asked how to play. He already knew the how the game works, but he wanted to know if there are any special rules.

[Josiah]

MICKEY

The restaurant Mickey picked had a shimmering substance over the entrace, much like the stuff that covered the entrances to different parts of the park. Stepping through, she found herself in what appeared to be a large sunny stone building. It was just a little hot and intricately woven rugs covered the floor and the walls. There was a strong smell of spices in the air.

An alien woman with pale green skin and a filmy dress approached and motioned for Mickey to follow.



KAIDA

"Sure, I'd love to!" Deke finally realized where they were. "So, do you still want to ride the Laser Coaster?"



GARY

As it turned out, the rules of the game were pretty much identical to the ring toss games Gary was familiar with, there wasn't anything unusual about it.

[Astral Omega]

"Uh... This IS my first time away from Earth," Cassi cringed. "Heck, most of the people on my planet don't even believe other races exist!" Cassi glanced at the timer, nerves building. Only 20 seconds till... something extraordinary she had no doubt.

[Saber Knight]

Mickey sniffed the air and gave a satisfied sigh. Noticing the woman, Mickey shrugged and followed, still wondering if she had to pay, or rather how she was going to pay. Ug, I probably have a few quarters in my pocket...Darn it all, they probably mentioned something about buying things. Must have not been paying attention...AGAIN....

[Giga-Gar]

Relived that the game was almost the same back on Earth, Gary took a bucket of the oddly shapped rings and tried to toss them on the pegs.

MICKEY

Mickey was led past lots tables which were surrounded by creatures of all types. She was soon seated at a small table in a corner. The table itself was only about knee high. Instead of chairs there were very poofy cushins, embroidered with patterns similiar to those on the rugs.

The woman handed her menu. "Please wave when you're ready." she said in a thick voice, and then wove her way off through the maze of tables.

The menu was filled with food Mickey had never heard of before, broken up familiar sections such as Appetizers, Entrees, Deserts, Drinks, and Combo Meals (an appetizer, entree, dessert, and drink). Fortunately, there were descriptions of each dish. Unfortunately, the descriptions contained a whole lot of ingredients which she was also unfamiliar with.



CASSI

"Weird... You should get out more." Zinia shook her head then straightened up raised her gun as the time hit the final ten seconds.

"Remember, shoot at anything red." Llazon was serious as always.

A moment later the gate opened and the ride shot forward so fast that Cassi found herself pushed back in her seat. For a second everything was black but then the cart was hurtling through what looking something like a star field. Brightly colors objects could be seen floating throughout and lasers flashed past though the darkness. The ride itself wasn't a smooth one. The cart was going up and down rises, making sharp turns, and sometimes twisting quite far to the side. The rest of her group had meanwhile begun shooting at the red objects.

Cassi, while disoriented at first, composed herself. She anchored herself in the cart and began to shoot as well.
