The Portal Panic Lounge

ECLECTRIC & KAKO

((Please keep in mind that I often only have time to update this once a day or so. So saying that something seems to be going slowly won't help.))

The elevator door opened and the pair found themselves in an enourmous and very fancy lobby. There's creatures of all sizes and shapes milling about, most of which pay little attention to the two humans, but aside from that it really isn't that different from a hotel lobby on Earth. There's a longer counter for people checking in and out, a conceirge desk, and a large door on both sides of the lobby. One door appears to be the main entrance to the resort (there's lots of aliens coming in and out, some of them carrying what looks rather like floating suitcases), and the other leading out into a lush green area with paths leading off in various directions.



TAKERU

((I said to pretend those posts never happened, not to edit them. But your edits work. Though, if you planned to face down a bear with a pocket knife, you're very lucky your character was abducted when he was...))

Like I already said ((please read my posts more carefully)) Takeru finds himself in a room with a single mostly human looking alien (although she has four eyes) who briefly explains to about Portal Panic and the Earth Team ((if you haven't already read the rules and information about how the game is played, you'd better do so now)). He then passes through a portal (which looks like a circular orange vortex floating in the air) and ends up in the living room of the Earth Team's suite. It's empty except for one human boy ((BFC's character)) and he's just standing there staring off into space.

Takeru exits the portal, than finds the boy in the center of the room. "um... hello there. What is your name?" Takeru didn't want to speak to him, but it was the best way to find out where he was.

[Eclectric]

"Wow, busy place. I think we should go on one of those paths, through that lush area. A general rule of thumb is that where there's foliage, there's water... hopefully that'll apply even for a pool in an alien world. Also, the thing that looks like the pool was outside, when we saw it from the Earth lobby. Shall we go check it out?"

She looks around the room amazed by all the different creatures then at eclectric. " I think that would be a great ideal." Smiles and starts walking toward the doors leading outside.

[Eclectric]

Eclectric smiled and held her hand as he walked her through the door.

" This place is so big, I wonder just how many people..........or creatures live here." Looks up at Eclectric.

[Eclectric]

"I'd imagine none or very few live here. It is, after all, a resort hotel, not an apartment."

[Metalheadz]

(( just a word of warning for you two. I only think you should post when Josiah has made up the action. ))

[Josiah]

((In response to WS's last post, they can carry on a conversation with each other without waiting for me to do anything. They just need to wait for my response if they go to a new area (so they can't say anything about the path they just started walking on, for example, until I describe it), try to talk to a NPC, or something like that. In most situations, conversations between player characters can go on as long as they want without my intervention.))

((On that same note, WS, I'm not going to post anything for you right now. We'll just wait and see if BFC posts anything since you're talking to his character and all.))



ECLECTIC & KAKO

The pair followed the path through a small grove and trees and flowers. Other smaller paths led off from the main ones. Many trailed off into the distance but others led to nearby areas that looked like courts and fields for some type of sports. Before long, they arrived at the pool area. There were actually quite a lot of pools of many different sizes and shapes dotting the massive area. There were lots of aliens both in the water and sunning themselves on beach chairs. Lots of chairs and palm like trees dotted the area. There was also what appeared to be a shop of some kind (though it was too far away to make out the details) and a bar ((the kind that serves drinks)).

"I'm Connor. Who're you?"

" Hey look over there." She points toward the building that looks likes a shop or something. "Do you think thats a souvenir stand?" Squints and trys to see. " Maybe they sale bathing suits, we didn't really bring anything to change into. "

[Eclectric]

"Ahh, of course. Well, let's go check it out," Eclectric said with a warm smile.

[Metalheadz]

"My name is Shiba, but I'm often referred to by my last name, Takeru. Pleasure to meet you, Connor. How did you enter this portal place?"

The store didn't sell suvineers but there was a wide variety of swim suits (including the more normal variety, ones that were clearly designed with various alien body types in mind, and an apparently empty rack of what a sign called "Invisible Swimwear"). There was also towls, pool toys, sun screen, and all other manner of pool and beach related items.

" Oh look at all the different things they have here." Smiles and looks around. "Do we just help ourselves?" Looks up at Eclectric. "I don't have any money with me either."
