The real Neo won't know the answer to this. The monks of Dark Edge do not use weapons, as Simeon was trying to state even a wooden sword goes against there teaching. Neo still holds this anti-weapon hang up from his days as a monk and uses the least threatening weapon to defend himself and the Hall of Heroes. he used a sword in Lilly's flash back because he was fighting for his life and for the life of his friend Kassy with the mantra 'to hell with the teachings'Shadowman wrote: To Neo Zanther: Why did you only get a wooden sword instead of a more useful metal variant?

Ahahaha....okay, I'll admit. When I first started to draw Josiah in the comic I tried to get his hair style from his photograph...but I messed up as I realised, I can only draw anime hair for some reason. Over time Josiah's hair went threw a few changes until I noticed he kinda had a bold patch developing on his right side, so I decided to fill it with a tuff of hair, which I thought looked cute. However, when I did it the same colour as the rest of it started to look like a headhog was sitting on his head, so I tried a different tone and it seemed to work okay. I decided to make it a permanent feature as it looks cute. Its also easier to define a character if he has a distinctive look that won't change when his cloths do. My art has improved over the course of the comic which means the characters are being drawn slightly differently, which started to make it hard for people to distinguish between the characters as they looked dramatically different each time. Keeping a constant trait like hair style helps to define who is who. In summary its just so if I have another male later with brown hair, you can tell which one is Josiah, and I think it looks cuteJosiah (or arthur Shauni if she wants to answer for him) why is your hair two different colors?

To Author!Shauni: Why does the guy in the last panel of Friday's comic look so much like a swellow?
Also to Author!Shauni: DO YOU WANT TO DIE OR SOMETHING?

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

He's a Regal Talon I think...and don't look like a Swellow IMO...just a regular bird.Silver wrote: To Author!Shauni: Why does the guy in the last panel of Friday's comic look so much like a swellow?

Look carefully at the color pattern. Blue wings, red face, blue stripe, red and white chest. Now look carefully at a swellow (I apologize if you're not suicidal). Wow, that looks EXACTLY like the description I just gave!

I'll take this one. Yes. It was intentional. She made it look like a swellow on purpose. It was the only way she could think of to use swellows in the comic.
Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:
Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.
Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:
Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.

Don't worry Silver, Its not an evil thing I've done. You get to kick swellow clone ass. Its also going to be so I can make jokes about how much swellow
sucks using silver. I only did it so Silver would have a reason to kick Moen's ass, cos he's half swellow.
IT all to make Silver look kick ass in an up coming battle I have planned.
"See! Pigoets rule!" was going to be a line

For some reason I had a feeling whoever it was was going to get a good old fashioned Pidgeot-style butt kicking.... Shauni knows better than making a swellow character decent by any meaning of the word. I still had to post SOME of my characteristic swellow-hatred-fueled shouting, y'know?
Either way, the thought of a swellow massacre definitely makes up the for Inverloch updates slowing down... an equivalent exchange like no other.

I'll let him answer that one, but that was the idea
