I think a LoZ RPG would work better, But that's only because I've done a LoZ RPG before. And i have no idea what one piece is.

Question: Is a link to a wikia, to explain something, advertising?

Advertising is spamming threads with posts trying to get people to go to your own site, buy a product, or the like. Posting a single link to a wikia isn't spamming and isn't even self promotional so it's not a problem in the least. FYI though, we already have One Piece RP, though it seems to have died a while back.

So, I've been thinking about a Civilization V Let's Play/RP, where I show the game off, but you guys control the action as citizens of the nation. Anyone not aquamtef with Civ can go to the War Room http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=451 . Of course, we will be playing as Japan, and with screenshots, so it will be a rather image heavy thread should we decide to go with it.


Tl;dr we play a game, I'm the GM, you guys are the player characters and tell me what to do by doing what you do best. RPing.

Hmm... So I disappear for years, and I come back to see the ol' RP section has slowed down?

This might have to be something that is fixed... What say you? Who has interest?

I certainly wouldn't mind some more active RPing, like we used to have, but for a while now it's been pretty difficult to maintain enough peoples' interest in any RP for more than a few weeks at best.

Well now, we'll have to see what we can do about that. Hmm. Anyone have any ideas? I'm ready for anything.

I will too. In the meantime, I'll also work out a new possible RP to start, I usually spend time at work thinking about stuff like this in the middle of rushes, I will probably have some time to think of a scenario, then I'll throw it out for people.

Well there's not much I could think of to keep people focused, because when it comes down to it, it is a matter of people staying focused themselves. Maybe juts what it needs is enough people to stay interested. Like, just for example, Say 3 people are doing 1. Player A is the more active poster, B posts every so often, and C doesn't post very often. Player A is usually waiting on the other 2 to post, same with Player B every so often. So I think if there's enough people for one, then maybe it would have some life.

I dunno, maybe I'm just typing for the sake of typing.

Does Mandi still peruse the forums? I remember she used to be one of the active RPers as well... Also Silver, didn't know if he still RPed. I notice NZ on from time to time as well.

Neo posts from time to time, but not heavily. Silver hasn't RPed for a while. And Mandi is still around, but has been fairly busy with college.
