"As for my purpose..." the Guardian's image begain to flicker, "... My purpose is unclear... as unclear as the code of a virus made into a glitch. I seek only to protect... To harken... To listen... To serve. The Archangel is my guide, as the blade keeps me sane. Without the sacred tool, I would be just another beast... another lost soul with an altered mind." the Guardian flickered again, "... I seek only to protect... To harken... To listen... To serve..."

"... to what end... I have yet to know... I seek only to protect... To harken... To listen... To serve..."

The last few phrases sounded garbled as the Guradian faded away. 

All Shauni could hear was one word in those garbled phrases: "Simeon."

(( A little tid-bit: Archangel is actually the name of a scripting program often used in some Visual Basic MMORPGs. I kinda wanted people to catch this, but seeing as it's not as widespread as I thought it was, I might as well come out with it... ^^;; ))

Shauni shouted up into the sky
"Please return Guardian! Please come back! Please....don't leave me..."
She flopped to the floor and focused her attention to the ground.

Her eyes flickered black and her face turned into a frown.

Evil shauni drew Gen Ren and Rikki maru, the cursed daggers, from there holsters and staired at them.

They where plastered with spriet wards and magic spells, sealing them.
"you and I are destruction just the same"

her eyes flickered white again and good shauni spoke
"but we both have the power to make things right again"
"My purpose is unclear"

She looked closer at the daggers
"The Archangel is my guide, as the blade keeps me sane. Without the sacred tool, I would be just another beast... another lost soul with an altered mind"
She narrowed her eyes "The Archangel keeps one sane...where as Gen Ren and Rikki maru cast ones mind into chaos...I need the Archangel from that man...no...perhaps another tool of the same power...to cancel the daggers...and purify them..."
Shauni's eyes flcikered dark again
"I can just take the archangel"
They flickered white
"But the guardian needs it"
They flicker black
"I need it more"
They flicker white "I will not steal it from him."
She stands up, returns the daggers to there hosters
"He and I are alike it seems...the lost waiting to die..."
She spreads her wings in a blaze of brilliant red
"Simeon...I wonder who you where and what you are becoming..."
Her eyes flickered black
"Shauni...I wonder who you where and what you are becoming"
She toom of into the air.

Just as she left Elder Codo and Yomikko appered
"Looks like she's not here"
"Keep looking. We need to find her now. I know of a why to curse her...but we must act quickly. Yomikko, go and find Josiah"
"Will do"They go of in different directions"

Neo, Tusekasa and Metalmorph left the stadium after the fight was over. They were informed about a party that Josiah was holding for his friends and others as well.

"Well we do have some time. Want to go shopping?" said Tsuekasa.

"If it will make you happy might as well. I would like to look at things to buy again."

Hours of searching for Shauni had proven fruitless. Elder Codo and Yomikko found there way back to a party that was just getting underway.

After shopping for awhile and buying afew things Neo, Tsuekasa, and Metalmorph headed over to Josiah's place for the party. All the while Tsuekasa clinged to Neo's hand/arm. Metalmorph seemed to be abit amused by all this.

Meanwhile an evil force is growing stronger...

Opal was beside Silver, entertaining Celebifly with some miming acts
"See Celebifly? This is the ladder effect. The trick is to not go throw your ladder bars." She pointe dout before mining climbing up a ladder.

"Whoa...where did you learn to do that? I don't remember any mimes in Orca."

"Oh, I learned it in drama. Guess I kinda forgot about it till now." Opal smiled nervously, putting a hand behind her head. Celebifly seemed to be entertained by Opals miming, but it was thinking about something else...
"Bii!"

The Guardian watched the gamers through the sacred edge of the Archangel as the group mingled among the people that had made GaleDrop Island home. 

Mahri was at his side, still clutching the toys the Guardian had made... a few of which were standing on a large, table-flat boulder, and several more such unique metal figurines scattered about on the grass where she sat. In Mahri's right hand she held the figurine of the Daughter of Hellfire.

With a look of natural childish innocence, Mahri looked up at her protector. "There will be others like her, Guardian Father." she spoke, handing Simeon the figurine of Shaunisa.

"I know, Mahri."

"Shouldn't you be preparing for them?"

"I am... but there is something about to happen, and I intend to find out what it is..."

*By the time David arrived at Josiah and Virgo's house everyone was already there, except for Josiah and Virgo.*

"Fudge crackers!" *Silver tried the door for the tenth time.* "Why'd the invite us here if we can't get in?"

*Opal, who was playing with one of her monsters, ignored him as did Neo, who was talking with Tsuekasa, and Jeff, who was standing awkwardly to one side. Surprisingly enough, Yomikko and Codo where there as well. Amhal, however, was notably absent, which struck David as rather strange.*

"Hey everyone, glad you could make it!" *The door suddenly swung open to reveal Josiah.* "Come on in."

"We've got everything set up in the next room." *Virgo was no longer wearing her traditional battle attire. Instead, she was wearing a pair a jean shorts along with a loose fitting orange t-shirt. Dressed like that, she could easily pass as a normal human.*

*As the guests headed into the lounge area where the food was waiting, Codo and Yomikko hurried towards Josiah...*

Josiah sighed. He had hoped things could go right for once but they never did
"What is it this time elder Codo?"
Elder codo explained to Josiah about the cursed daggers that had split shauni into good and evil...he however left out information regarding Merry Creak...
"I see....so what can we do?"
"We first must find her...."

Meanwhile Shauni sat atop of Josiahs house looking towards Vallaho with a grim look on her face...."

"Find her?" *Josiah sighed as he and Virgo moved off to the side.* "She could be anywhere in Orca. This won't be easy."

"Yes, but those letters you sent out might help."

"They could but, as much as I hate to say it, that mystery army has me more worried than Shauni."

"Should we tell the others what we know?"

"Not yet. It's all just guesswork and speculation at this point. I need some solid evidence first. Hopefully that'll come soon."

"Yeah, there's not much we can do until then. What about Shauni?"

"We'll start looking for her tomorrow. I'm sure the others will be glad to help with that. For now, let's just try to enjoy the party." *They headed over to join the party.*

The huge metal reptile turned to his battalion. "Brothers. Time is drawing close. Our time to strike is nigh!"

They were unaware that they were seen...

"Daughter of Hellfire."

Shauni spun around to see the ghost of the Guardian again.

"YOU!" she hissed, her eyes colored in darkness. They flickered white, "You..."

"Yes... I felt it, too. Vallhalo is in danger."

"How can we warn the others?" she asked, "They will surely be searching for me because of these..." she looked forlornly at the two daggers still holstered at her sides. "And you'll likely cause mayhem if you just appeared..."

The Guardian was quiet for a moment, "I do not know how, Daughter of Hellfire... but we must draw their attention to Vallhalo this night... or there will not be joy either there or here on GaleDrop..."

Shauni rubbed her chin. her eyes were still a ghostly white
"We must not insight panic on the island...someone other than you or I must speck to them of the impending danger...."
Shauni looked down but everyone had either gone home or had joined the party
"This is bad..."
She jumped of the roof
"I'll have to tell them my-" she cut herself of as her eyes turned black
"I like the idea of this mayhem! perhaps I'll take on the impending darkness myself. I'm up for a good blood bath!"
Her wings burst from her back and she began to laugh maniacally until her eyes turned white again and she fell abruptly to the floor
"Oww..." she moaned
"I don't think its a good idea for me to confront them..."
She stood outside the front door and began to yell
"Vallhalo is in danger! Vallhalo is in danger!" she yelled as hard as her lungs could scream

Everyone in the room stopped as the heard the cries.

"Who...who could that be?" Opal wondered as Celebifly got scared and landed on Opal's back.

"It almost sounds like...Shauni!" Joshia exclaimed.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!"

The group ran outside and saw Shauni panicing.

"Shauni! There you are!" Elder Codo explained
Shauni's eyes flashed Black and she hissed at him, then she took off into the sky with a blaze of fire
"Tonight Vallhalo will burn by the claw of a metal reptile battalion! Heed me! I go to slay them all!"
As she was flying away her wings suddenly gave out and she fell from the sky, her eyes glowing white as she decended and slashed into the water of the harbur.
She pulled herself from the water and back to shore
"I'm sorry about that...lsiten, ignore me now! An attack is due on Vallhalo any moment! its a battalion!"

"Now that's scitzophrenic!"

*Josiah wasn't sure if they could trust Shauni in her present condition but he had to check things out.* "I'll got to Vahallo and take a look!" *He summoned Midnight Wing and jumped on before anyone had time to react.* "Everyone, stay here. If somone really is attacking I'll contact Virgo. And please, keep an eye on Shauni." *The large blck bird rose into the air and streaked off across the water.*

*The others waited tensly, unsure of what to think or say.*

*Minutes passed and then, Virgo heard a voice...*

"Come, quickly!"

"He needs us!" *She jumped up, attracting everyone's attention.* "Let's go!" *Without waiting for the others, she just into the air and vanished, teleporting instantly to Josiah's side. What she saw upon arriving was shocking.* "It's an entire army! Where? How?"

"Save the questions for later!" *Josiah was already fighting several of the reptile like monsters and looked to have destroyed a couple more.* "This things are strong, especially in groups. I hope the others arrive soon. In the meantime, we need more power. Virgo, get ready!"

"Right!"

"Everyone," *Josiah held up his cards,* "join with me and form Rainbow Ultima!!!"
