((I'm back!))

"I already knew that." *Josiah replied casually.* "If I was treating Mirage as a normal monster I would have let Electriblast continue fighting. I brought out Aquaticia specifically to counter your monster."

"Counter? They're both water types now with the exact same move set!" *Shauni laughed disdainfully.*

"That means nothing." *Josiah remained calm and controlled, quite the opposite of Shauni.* "Aquaticia, Tsunami Force!" *A large tidal wave sprung up, rapidly filling the battle field with water that was over twenty feet deep.*

"This is your big plan? Hah, that attact didn't even scrath Mirage!"

"Who said I was finished? Now use Acid Rain!" *Aquaticia used the attack then quickly dove beneath the surface to avoid the purple rain.*

"Useless! Mirage, follow it under water!" *Mirage obiently disapeared beneath the water.*

*Josiah grinned.* "You fell for it."

"What?!?"

"Now that it's underwater, you can't see Mirage and it can no longer hear your orders and, with the Acid Rain going, it won't be surfacing any time soon. It may have copied Aquaticia's attacks and power level but not her battle experience. I've trained her for underwater battles for years. She doesn't need my help to win this one. Mirage will be outmaneuvered at every turn."

Skills: Being stealthy, due to his size of only 3' 1"
Bio: He has lived on his own for the past four years, his parents killed in a terrible fire, after so long he has forgotten his last name, going by Roger always. He grew up in the forest, travelling to mountains occasionally for the delicous mountain berries there.

(Patty...Rodger...um, ROM is not like any other role play here, you don't post your characters bio wanting toi join during a role play. To join you have to make a thread in the ROM section and then everyone already in ROM decides if you're in or not ^_^)

((Also, ROM is not accepting new members right now. We have enough as is. And for us to even consider adding a new member, that person must already be an good active member of the forums and have read all the previous ROMs. If you want to RP there's plenty of others you can join.))

Josiah grinned at Shauni
"You really don't think you can get me with that strategy do you?"
Josiah looked on at Shauni, confused
"I know you've been training for your monster for years. But dont you think I have as well?"
Her eyes narrowed "In fact I'm surprised you think so little of me."
"You should know, unlike Mirror, Mirage can use its own attacks as well!!"
As if on queue Mirage as Aquaticia jumped out of the water and high into the air as the acid rain still fell
"I can all so assume that Aquaticia's acid rain doesn't affect itself as greatly as it does its foe!"
Shauni lent forward and yelled to Mirage who was now descending towards the water again
"Shatter Magic Storm!"
Shards of glass emerged from Aquaticia Mirage's Body and began to blast into the air. The glass formed into a shield over Aquaticia Mirage's body. The attack has made a canopy from glass, no longer getting Mirage wet with acid rain.
"It would seem were on and even level now. Your monster will have to emerge from the water to strike Mirage. I have no intention of giving you the advantage again."

"Wow Shauni, I'm impressed." *Josiah nodded, pleasantly surprised that she had been able to counter part of his strategy.* "Although take a look, Mirage didn't make it back above water unscathed."

"It doesn't matter. I can easily make up the difference once your monster surfaces!"

"True, you could. But who said Aquaticia was going to surface?" *Josiah still held Aquaticia's card in one hand.* "Thanks to my transformation ability, I've formed a bond with my monsters that no other trainer could. He held up the card and closed his eyes briefly, transmitting a silent order to Aquaticia.*

"What are you?" *Shauni dropped silent as a massive water spout erupted from the water. Caused by the still submerged Aquaticia's Typhoon attack. Mirage was sucked in almost instantly and spun rapidly through the air, caught in the unescapably current.* "It's just wind and water! That won't stop Mirage!"

"Wind, water, and rain." *Josiah corrected, pointing up at the acid rain clouds which were slowly fading away.* "That water spount sucked in the last of the Acid Rain as well as the acid that was coating the top of the water. Right now, Mirage is not only trapped inside the spout, but in the acid as well. We'll see if it can still fight after this."

Shauni went white as she heard the tormented cries of Mirage under the surface of the water as to now and again managed to pull its head threw the surface, gasping for air.
"Mirage! Return!" she cried desperately.

The monster was drew for the torrent and returned to its card in blinding light.

Shauni fell to her knees and held the card close to her.
"I'm sorry...."
She stood up
"Very impressive...I hadn't counted on you developing telepathic communication."
Her fiery wings burst out from her back as rage consumed her features
"Its not over yet! I still have one monster to go!"
She drew the card for her deck and threw it high into the air.

The card burst into light and dark strands of energy and filled the arena with an eerie mixture of both glows.

"Balance I summon you!"

the two headed cry dragon emerged like a shadow from the mist. It looked like it had before, except its eyes were burning with fire
"Its been powered up by Hellfire. Hope you enjoy my new talents as much as I enjoyed yours."

Balance (light/dark, Nova Level)
Balance twin super exhaust attack: uses the infused power of hell fire for a rainbow type attack.
Phy Bite: light and dark head's bite for duel type attack
To fast: Now increased speed from hellfire. Is so fast is a blur
Obliteration of the dark sun and light moon.: Light and dark attack beam that can shatter plate metal in one blow.

The guardian kept his blade sheathed as he bandaged his paws...

<Fire... Fire... Fire...> the word looped in his mind. It was the last thing he felt when he was-- The guardian shook his head. This is his home. He was with this son, and doing a duty he loved...

<Fire... Fire... Fire... Why can't that word leave me be?> the guardian prayed, still shocked that the sacred blade had burned his hands. It was a reminder, its way of communicating the threat... Slowly, the Guardian put his gauntlets back on.

<The Fire is coming... and all I can do is wait...>

((A quick heads up about my new power. I can communicate telepathically with my monsters, using their cards as a focus. However, it requires all my concentration so I usually stick with normal verbal orders.))

*Josiah held up Aquaticia's card, sending another telepathic order. A moment later the mermaid's head emerged from beneath the water.* "Great work Aquaticia!"

*He quickly thought back over the last few battles.* "Hmm... There's something wrong with Shauni, no denying it, but she hasn't gone completely over to the darkness. If she had, she would force her monsters to fight to the end instead of withdrawing them to save them from my finishing moves. But that darkness, whatever it is, must be defeated. Hopefully, this battle will be at least one step in the right direction."

*This time Shauni decided to start things off.* "Balance, crush that mermaid! Obliteration of the dark sun and light moon!!!"

"Whoa..." *Josiah could actually feel Balance's power rising as it gathered its energy for the attack.* "Aquaticia, jump...now!" *Aquaticia flung herself high into the air just as Balance fired, causing the beam to miss and strike the water.* "What the?!?" *Josiah's eyes widened as the beam isntantly evaporated all the water, leaving Aquatica with a long fall back to the now dry ground.* "That was even stronger than I thought..." *He glanced at his injured monster, knowing full well that, given the current situation, Aquaticia could not win. Still, she could do some damage.* "Acid Rain!"

Shauni grinned
"Mistake. You should have seen THIS coming"
As Aquaticia was actually doing its Acid rain attack Shauni barked an order at Balance
"To Fast!"
"You still using the same old trick? HA!"
"Not quite"
Balance became a blur as it quickly moved from its location. if you had blinked you would have missed it come right behind Aquaticia.
Josiah grimaced as the form of the two headed dragon re-emerged
"Aquaticia! Get out of there!"
"Balance twin super exhaust attack"
The dragon began to glow many different colours
"Is-is that a rainbow attack??"Shauni nodded "You remember I worked on Power Orbs in-between the hacker and Moen! I used Hellfire in a power orb!"
The dragon trashed about in the air and then both heads clamped onto Aquaticia.
The monster struggled to free itself but before it could Balance had shot it from its mouth in a multicoloured beam.
The Aquaticia hit the ground hard and abruptly, KO'd almost instantly.
Josiah almost lung himself over the railing as he yelled down to his monster.

Yomikko looked at Shauni, expecting her to be happy...but all she saw was a brief moment of...something....sadness maybe?

"You put hellfire in a power orb?!? Are you crazy?!?" *Aquaticia's defeat, although expected, had come a bit sooner than he'd hoped. Fortunately, he calmed down quickly and mentally ran through the list of his remaining monsters.* "Balance is strong and I can't risk losing this battle, the stakes are too high... I already used Electricutz and the rules won't let me send it back out, that only leaves me with two choices... Well, we'll be fighting with a type disadvantage but so will she. Here goes! I summon, Virgo!!!"

*There was a flash as Virgo's shimmering wings appeared then, copying Shauni, she jumped into the air and flew to the arena.* "You called?" *She offered a grin, which Josiah returned.*

"Be careful." *He warned.* "Judging from what I've seen you have the advantage in terms of sheer power but since both you and Balance are weak against eachother's attacks, a couple hits could make a big difference."

"Right. But I'm counting on you to watch my back."

"Don't I always?"

Shauni's eyes softened a little and she began to shake, and expression of sadness fell over her features.
"Josiah....your really going to make me battle Virgo..."
She closed her eyes then her head slumped.
"How cruel..."
When her head returned to face Josiah her eyes where a brilliant sky blue as opposed to the deep ocean blue they usually where
"I will have to beat you then...please...don't hold it against me..."
Shauni then burst into action
"Balance! Get this battle started! Use To Fast!"

*Josiah saw Shauni's expression change. Good. Perhaps this battle would help her...* "Start with Divine Gift!" *Virgo quickly used the power up move.* "Hmm..." *Josiah's eyes moved back and forth as he tried to follow Balance, a difficult task with it's speed enchancement.* "You'll never hit it like this," *he called to Virgo,* "wait for its attack." *Virgo nodded briefly and raised her spear.*

"Nothing can stop Balance with it's new powers!" *Shauni was gaining back some of her bravado.* "Now Balance, Phy Bite!"

*Virgo watched as Balance sped towards her. She could dodge the attack, she knew she could. Just one more moment and...*

"Take the hit!"

*Virgo was shocked by the command and couldn't see how taking damamge would help her win the battle. But, she trusted Josiah. He must have some sort of plan. Virgo braced herself as Balance struck, one head clamping it's teeth on her left gauntlet as the other bit into her leg.*

"Now! Hit the heads with Heavenly Spear!"

*Virgo smiled as things became clear. While Balance was biting her, it lost its mobility, allowing for a free hit. Raising her spear with her right hand she struck.*

*The force of the attack freed Virgo and knocked balance to the ground. It seemed to be dazed for the moment.* "Good! Before it recovers use Shadows of Heaven!"

*Virgo lept into the air, her wings keeping her aloft, and raised her hands.* "You shall know my darkness, here in the Shadows of Heaven!" *The arena suddenly grew dark as evil looking black and red clouds covered the sky. Then light burst forth as a large beam broke through and shot down to strike Balance. A moment later more began to follow, landing repeated blows on Shauni's monster.*

Shauni grimaced as the Spear like Shadows fell from the dark cloud towards Balance.
Shauni had to act fast, Balance was fast but it couldn't dodge every spear.
"Balance! Obliteration of the dark sun and light moon! Fire upwards!"

Balance flew up into the air, light and dark energy swirling around its two mouths. They shout in unison up high into the air. The light and dark energy from the attack completely obliterated the black and red clouds covering the sky.
"Dodge the rest! to fast!"
When Balance had finished removing more Spears it went about dodge the ones that where already already towards it.
Virgo flew back a little as she watched the display in owe.
Balance managed to avoid being hit by 32 different spears from the clouds. When it stopped however, it looked tired
"balance! Are you alright??!"Shauni shouted down to it.
Balance turned and nodded...and...what was that? A smile?
Shauni's eyes flickered red for a moment then turned blue but glazed.
"Balance twin super exhaust attack! Put everything you have into it Balance! End this battle quickly!"
