"Good match." *David smiled as he and Silver walked back towards the seating area.*

"You too. That was a really close flight. Can't wait to see Josiah go against Shauni though, that'll be pretty cool."

*Meanwhile.*

"Well, here goes." *Josiah rose, looking a bit more serius than he had before his previous match.*

"Be careful." *Virgo whispered.* "Shauni's aura is really making me nervous."

"Don't worry, I'll be keeping an eye on her."

((Shauni, I'll let you start things off. One thing though, I'd like to choose my own monsters if you don't mind.))

Shauni watched Josiah rise and look at her weary, as if he was nervous about her. She stood up and glared at him, until a smile formed on her face, and eerie, menacing smile.
She walked past him, without a word and flew down the her podium again while Josiah walked down the stairs.
"Something's not right here...."
Shauni drew a card from her deck and looked at it for a few moments as if recalling which it was.
"Kendo-sama I summon thee!" she yelled, and threw the card into the air.

A flash of blinding light filled the arena and a dragon emerged holding a huge sword with its four claws.
"W-what the hell is a Kendo-sama??"
Shauni smiled again, this time smugly
"A monster I created."
"C-created??"
"Enough talking! Summon your monster and let us engage in combat! I must test the fruit of my training"

Meanwhile Yomikko had lent forward in her seat at the podium, surprising Virgo
"Dear Zeus! She's playing god!"

"The Fudge Crackers? I think Shauni's finally lost it."

"Well, it's been a year and a half, she could have figured out how to create monsters in that time..."

"Nah."

"I'm willing to bet she's either gone completely insane or she's been possesed by the demons of stupid."

"You're on!"

"Ok, uh, you ain't gonna get much if you win... I'm kinda broke. And there's this funny story about it; ya see, this guy sold me a Magikarp..."

((its not god moding if you use a god card to create two nova level monsters. I.e its actualy weaker than when it began. I'll explain when the plot progresses))

((Interesting... Since I don't know what your monster's attacks do, I'll just get things started for the moment.))

"She created a monster?" *it took Josiah a moment to register the fact.* "This fight has barely started and I already don't like where it's going... If she really created that thing there's no telling what it can do, or how stable it is..." *He studied Kendo-sama and did some quick thinking.* "Well, it looks pretty strong but I doubt it can swing that sword very fast. Still, I'd better go all out against this one." *He turned to face Shauni and held up a card.* "You want a fight, you've got one! Go Electriblast!!!

"So, you're taking the type advantage?" *Shauni sneered.* "It doesn't matter, I'll show you my new power!!!"

"Electriblast, use Voltage Overload!" *Electricity crackled around Electriblast, increasing its attack and defensive power. Fortunately, Shauni was still gloating and had yet to issue a command to her own monster.* "Now let's do some damage! Multi-striker!!!"

The dragon began to swing the huge sword around at lightning fast speed. The vapor in the air started to freeze as the tempartaure dropped. A huge gail storm then formed, the motion of the sword movement pushing it towards Electriblast.
"Your monster will be frozen before it reaches him!"
Electriblast was beging to slow down and its lims started to freeze over little by little as it closed the distance.

"It's faster than I thought..." *Josiah muttered, but then he laughed.* "You think you can stop me that easily? Electriblast, use Electric Heaven!!!" *Lighting began to rain from the sky, the intense heat of the blasts warming the air enough to cancel the freezing effects of Kendo-sama's attack. Some of the blasts struck Kendo-sama as well, causing it to scream in pain.*

"You'll pay for that!" *Shauni's eyes were flashing.* "Blister Shard!" *Kendo-sama reared back and fired several large ice spikes from the tip of its sword.*

"Not today!" *Josiah called back.* "Electriblast, to the left!" *The tiger like monster leapt to the side just in time to be struck by the final lightning bolt of its own attack. It took damage but was also given a brief surge of power.* "Now, Static Surge!!!" *Powered up by the lightning, a ball like blast of pure electricity shot towards Kendo-sama, shattering the ice spikes as it went, and landing a direct hit on Shauni's monster.*

"Kendo-sama!" *Shauni's features twisted with rage.*

"Shauni, I don't know what happened to you since we defeated Bowen," *Josiah voice was determined,* "but I want to help you. And that's why I won't can't let you win! Electriblast, let's finish it with Electricuter!!!"

"its not over Josiah! Not by a long shot! Counter with Ice River"
The dragons mouth opened and a solid blast of ice was produced from it, striking threw the heart of Electricuter and threw to Josiah's monster, landing a good hit.
"I can't let you beat me Josiah! I can't...."
Shauni's fiery burst into there full size, they would have put Pirogothica to shame.
"Kendo-sama, you have to win this! We don't have any other choice!"
Suddenly Shauni's eyes began to turn black, the white of her eyes vanishing into the pupil.
Her eyes looked hallow and dead.
"Release me...." spoke her daggers to her
"No...no not now! Not now...."
Shauni's demeanour suddenly changed and she looked up at Josiah and gave him a Calais glare
"Enough of this. Kendo-sama, destroy that pathetic creature with Blister Shard"
The dragon flew up high into the sky, then the sword it was holding froze over...then it lanced it at Electriblast.

The Archangel lept from the Guardian's hands. He had been watching this battle... The girl with anger in her heart was slowly turning into a demon...

The Guardian looked at his gauntleted hands. The black steel that covered his paws was burnished with ash... His sword almost burned him.

At least he was alone. The children would not see him here kneeling in the grass in front of his sword...

"Is this what you were trying to tell me, Archangel?" he pleaded to the blade as it stood in the ground, hilt to the sky, "What has gripped her so tightly and what must I do to help?"

... and yet... he knew there was little he could do...

All the while, a little girl watched from afar.

Neo didn't pay much attention to the last part of the battle. He know who would win anyway. He needed to think. He didn't even notice that the battle was even over til Shauni called out her monster. Neo then watched the battle unfold. He was not liking the way it was unfolding. He looked over at Metalmorph and he too had the woried look on his face.

*Electriblast managed to evade Kendo-sama's attack but was knocked back by the aftershock.* "What the?" *Josiah glanced over at Shauni only to see her screaming up at the sky. Her aura had changed as well and, while he wasn't nearly as sensitive to such things as Virgo, it was a very ominous feeling. For half a second he considered calling Virgo down to try an exorcism like she'd done on Hellion but this wasn't the time. Now that she was distracted, it was the perfect time to launch his next attack.*

"Electriblast, let's try that new strategy we've been practicing. Jump on Kendo-sama's back!" *Electriblast sprang into action. Shauni's monster was waiting for an order and did little until Electriblast had already made it's move. Kendo-sama roared and twisted angrily but Electriblast sank its claws into the dragon's back, rooting it firmly in place.*

*Meanwhile, Shauni seemed to have just noticed what was going on.* "What are you doing?!?"

"Too late!" *Josiah didn't bother to answer.* "Electric Heaven Electricuter!!!" *Electriblast used Electric Heaven then raised its tail high, using it as a lightning rod to absorb the blasts. Although it was taking damage, Electriblast's power was reaching incredible levels. As the bolts continued to strike, it hit Kendo-sama with Electricuter, pouring a steady stream of lighting powered electricity into the helpless monster.* "The first round is over Shauni!" *Josiah called over tummult.* "Your monster is barely hanging on and my attack is still going! You should call Kendo-sama back before it takes any more damage!"

Shauni's eyes where still black, but just as suddenly as she had change, her eyes returened to normal
"Kendo-sama!!!" she yelled, extreme destress evident in her voice
"Return!"
The monster that was twisting and turning in agony retured to the card in blinding light.

After it was safly returned to the card Shauni stood stairing at it.
"I'm sorry Kendo-sama....when this is all over I wont let you get hurt like that again...."
Shauni looked towards Josiah
"I'm sorry Josiah but I have to win...I'll explain everything to you later..."
She placed Kendo-sama back in her deck and drew her next card.
"Mirage! I summon thee!"

"Sending an adult level against a nova?" *Josiah eyed Shauni's new monster. Although his voice expressed nothing but confidence, he remembered the powers the creature had possed in its previous form. Also, the Electric Heaven Electricuter had weakened Electriblast considerably. While it was an almost sure KO against most foes, the backlash was nothing to laugh about, something Josiah knew from prior experience in his transformed state.*

"Mirage, use Fall From Grace!"

*Electriblast tried to dodge but, with its reaction time had slowed and it wasn't able to move fast enough. The attack hit it in the side, hurling it back against the wall.* "Just a little longer Electriblast!" *Josiah urged.* "Let's try a Static Surge!"

"Ditto Foe!" *Mirage fired an identical blast of electricity and the two attacks cancled each other out.*

*Josiah paused for a moment to study the situation. Electriblast was weakened but it was a strong monster and could continue fighting for a while if needed. On the other hand, in its current state, it wasn't fast enough to outmenuever Mirage or strong enough to directly overpower it and at this point trying to power up with Voltage Overload or Electric Heaven would likely do more harm than good. Meaning that any additional damage Electriblast could do at this point likely wasn't worth the time and effort involved. Besides, he had an idea...* "Electriblast return!" *Josiah held up its card.* "Good job. I know you could have kept going but I have a different strategy I want to try against this monster."

*Shauni, meanwhile, was frowning, unsure why Josiah would return a monster that was still in fighting condition.*

"Ok, it your turn Aquaticia!"

Shauni studied the Aquaticia that emerged. it was clear it was a Nova beast
"It doesn't matter what you try Josiah! Mirage is the mirror image of its opponent. its power is her power. Do you think I would be so stupid to send an adult against a Nova without a plan??"

She shouted to Mirage
"use Shatter magic storm!"

As Aquaticia merged Mirages form shifted from its own to that of Aquaticica
"Mirage isn't a pathetic ditto copy card like mirror was. it not only copies form, attack and hit points, but strength and level to!"
She smiled cockily "In other words, your fighting your own monster!"
