[off topic]No, I definitely wouldn't mind if they showed a second episode of One Piece, but that'll never happen. Why? Because of Naruto. It's so freaking popular, and Toonami's milking that cash cow for all its worth... instead of picking up some new show once Bobobo finished its run, they just show another episode of Naruto. It can get away with anything; Asuma's allowed to have a cigarette but Sanji isn't, despite One Piece coming on later than Naruto... and they showed that stupid movie for a third time, which meant delaying the Luffy vs Bellamy fight and the first appearance of Kuma, Doflamingo, and Sengoku, not to mention the first Fun Piece appearance of the Red Heaired Pirates. The Ben Beckman fans were not pleased. They didn't make one mention of the switching of liscence from 4kids to FUNi - no previews, nothing - but there are Naruto commercials everywhere. And Naruto isn't even that good, especially not compared to One Piece. This story arc they've got going now, the 'Saving Sasuke' arc? The end sucks big time. It's overdramatic, anticlimactic, and stupid all at once. So One Piece, which only gets better and better while Naruto goes straight down hill, is just kind of there. CN does nothing but cater to their precious Narutards; One Piece doesn't even get a fighting chance.
But I'm not bitter. Not me. Not at all. Why would I be bitter? Just because Toonami's run by a bunch of morons that wouldn't know a good anime if it bit them in the face, that's no reason to be bitter...[/off topic]

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

....If its so bad, why do so many people like it? I'll have to agree with you on the movie thing though...I was really mad because i wanted to see what happened on one piece....but hey, i'd have to say there about the same right now. One piece is getting exciting though, but so is Naruto....(bleach pwns all though)

It was lonely... you promised you'd write to me, but you never did... the months passed by, and I still thought of you every day, but you never called. I never got any letters from you.
So eventually, I started to lose faith... I thought you had been killed in that terrible, terrible war. Or maybe that you had forgotten about me. It's been so long, you probably found another girl over there... I never stopped loving you, but I didn't think you cared about me anymore, so welcoming you back just would have been too painful for me... I'm sorry. I'm glad you've come back home *sniff*

I wouldn't know what was on Toonami, because I live in Canada, and thus don't get Cartoon Network. In fact, we don't really get much anime at all up here, eccept for late Friday night on YTV, when they have Full Metal Alchemist, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, and a few non-anime cartoons like Invader Zim and Futurama. Still, I agree that One Piece is way better than Naruto. And even though Full Metal Alchemist is over, it is still my favourite anime ever. Bleach is pretty good too. Bottom line, Naruto is my least favourite anime. Now can we please get back on topic?

I guess so, when the naruto movie showed...again...I was swearing because it cancelled out One Piece, and Naruto, I liked One Piece before Gar because of the art, not the childish lines and voices, plus my school was selling some One Piece manga,anti-childish,pure. I also agree that Toonami was making to much off naruto, they allready had their 2 episodes every Saturday, it should be One Piece's turn this time. That darn 4kids gave One Piece a bad reputation, sorry this was off topic.

Which is why I watch YTV on Friday nights.Doodleshark wrote:I wouldn't know what was on Toonami, because I live in Canada, and thus don't get Cartoon Network. It is mafia. It just got... kinda off topic. Silver started talking about One Piece, and it went downhill from there.Kisori wrote:I thought this was about the mafia? What, when a round ends we talk about random stuff? Also, I like YTV even if I cant watch it because I would have to pay for it, so I use Youtube!
Monday, Silver?

I actually like the English dub of Naruto... better than the Japanese, even, and yes, I have watched copius amounts of the Japanese. Rock Lee sounds so much cooler in English.
I'm betting so many people like it because its starts off really well; it's a got a whole slew of interesting characters with unique abilities and the fights are pretty cool... unfortunately, Kishimoto couldn't handle that, ruined the story arc by making Sasuke even more of an idiot than he was before, and then it descends into filler. There was no saving it after the descent into filler.
And no, Kisori, when the round ends we do not talk about random stuff. That's why I marked my post with "[off topic]". But somehow, now we have a mess on our hands that can only be cleaned up by starting the next round. This, unfortunately, will not happen today because of dear Cheesey. You see, he failed to realize that IT'S STILL MONDAY. First of all, Cheesey, I'm not late; and not only are you being impatient and moaning about it, but you're blaming ME for getting off topic? I did not just "start talking about One Piece", and I even marked my post as off topic, with the little / thing and all, as in, to END the off topic. I don't know how everyone interpreted that as an invitation to continue the discussion...
So, the round is starting tomorrow, just to spite Cheesey for complaining about it
