4159 needs to learn a monolog in order to audition for Once Upon a Mattress. It's supposed to be a funny monolog, since Once Upon a Mattress is a comedy, but 4159 can't use the Holy Hand Grenade Speech again since he used it last year to get the part of Pigpen. So now he must embark on an epic quest to find a new, funny monolog that's appropriate for a hgih school theater and will land him the part of teh jester. 4159 really, really wants to be the jester. Big surprise, right? Even though the jester has to sing... quite a bit, actually. But that's not so bad. 4159's actually pretty good at singing. He just needs to work on doing so in English as opposed to Japanese... It should all work out, though, because the jester's not in the Spanish Panic number, which means 4159 gets out of doing that crazy dance. On top of that, Benny's pretty much guaranteed the part of the king, and that'll be fun. Benny was cool as Benny in I'm getting Murdered in the Morning. He was kinda the hit of the show again in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever... I guess that's the only drawback to the jester roll. I'll be completely upstaged by the guy that doesn't even talk. Oh, well. It'll be fun.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

4160 suggests Mr. Incompetent's Monologue or the following.

Hero: “Let’s see, what would be a good way to save the world… I know!!! I’ll convince myself not to become an evil super villain and take over the world, thereby saving the world from the terror of my dark reign!”
Henchman: “Uh, say what?”
Hero: *Talking to himself Golem (Lord of the Rings) style.* “I must not give in to the dark side! I’m destined to save the world, not destroy it! Save the world? What a waste of time! Heroes are lame. Villains are the ones who have all the fun. Fun? Who needs fun? If I become a hero I get a free pizza! Free pizza!!! Oh wow, one free pizza, yippee. If I become evil I can have a personal army of slaves who will make me all the pizza I want! But… Actually that’s a pretty convincing argument… It is isn’t it?”
Player Choice: 1. Wait... Is this a trick? 2. Why should I listen to you?

Choice 1:
Hero: “Of course it’s not a trick. Why would I want to trick myself? I don’t know. How do I know you’re even me? Maybe you’re just pretending to be me to trick me! Huh? If you’re really me than prove it! What’s my favorite way to skin a cat? Uh, I, we, don’t skin cats. Correct! But, then again, if I was an imposter, I’d be sure to research my own cat skinning preferences before impersonating myself… Gah! I don’t know what to think anymore!

Choice 2:
Hero: “You’re just a voice in my head. I don’t have to take orders from you. Yes you do. No I don’t! Yes you do! No I don’t!!! Yes you do!!! NO I DON’T!!! YES YOU… Ugh, will you just shut up and so what I say already? You’ll regret it if you don’t. Oh really? What are you going to do? Think menacingly at me? Well, I, er…let’s try a different approach.

(Both choices bring the player here.)
Hero: “Search your feelings, you know that evil is the path for you!”
Player Choice: 3. “No! I must resist!” 4. Maybe being evil wouldn’t be so bad…

Choice 3:
Hero: “I can’t become evil! I can’t!!! Why not? Because, um… Yes? Hold on, I’ll think of something… Because… Because… Because evil never wins? No, no, that’s not right. Evil cheats, therefore it always wins. Are you sure about that? Yes. Um… Cause everyone likes good guys? Actually they’re usually betrayed and stabbed in the back by the people they’re helping. Oh… But there must be some reason… Fool, stop struggling and give in. Wait! I’ve got it! I can’t turn evil because it says so in the script!!! What?!? Where?!? Page five, see. The hero cannot become evil. Curses, foiled again…

Choice 4:
Hero: “Yeah, yeah! Why save the world for one free pizza when I can conquer it and get all the pizza I want? Yes, that’s right! Now first off I’ll need to make a nice evil costume, practice a villainous laugh, find a good evil lair, hire some ridiculously stupid underlings, formulate a complex plan and… Wait, I’d have to do all that? Duh! All good villains do. In that case forget it. But why? Too much work. Beating up a few bad guys sounds a lot easier. But… But… Just great, I’m a lazy idiot.”

4161 says those look like some pretty awesome monlogues. 4161 also was only able to choose from a small list of monoluges for any of the plays she was in. They were always clips from the play (sometimes it was several different character's lines smooshed together into one). 4161 says this year the middle school play (Tango's in it) had monolouges to choose from, as usual, but they weren't from the play. 4161 had to listen to her practice it over and over again...
4161 also comments that last year MJT (grades 7-11, or something like that) did Once Upon a Mattress. Unfortunatly, she wasn't able to go see it, as when she got there it was sold out to her dismay. Her friend was in it, though, and said it went well, which is good. *sigh* 4161 wishes she could try out for the next MJT musical (which would be....Hello Dolly, I think), but doing MJT would interfere with her theoretically making the softball team, which she isn't willing to give up. Sadly, 4161 may never find herself in a big, well-organized play again. Jungle Book may have been her last awesome role (as Shere Khan the magnificent tiger). Best villian you'll ever meet. Always scared everyone.....*sigh again* Life is too busy....
May the Triforce be with you.

4162 wonders if any of these posts made today will actually be read. I know I haven't read the majority of the posts I've seen. You know, I could probably just type random gibberish. Would that would increase my posting rate and get me a better chance of winning. Oh, wait, Josiah has to read these in order to score us. He's going to read every single one of these extremely long posts. Wow, that's going to suck. I wonder if he regrets his choice of theme? Oh well, at least I'm better at monolauging than I am at talking without verbs. Now that day was frustrating.

...4163 will love Josiah forever. Because the Mr. Incompetent monologue is like... completely and totally perfect. And will be insanely fun to perform. Heh... insanely fun. That was a pun. Of course, the other one would be insaenly fun, too, technically... And I'm almost famous for my schizophrenia scenes anyway. Like, in I'm Getting Murdered in the Morning, there was this one scene where it was just Parker and Harold talking back and forth for a while. That was one of the scenes we auditioned with, so I'd practiced it a lot... and about a week before the show, when we were starting to get decent run-throughs, Harold couldn't make it to practice. For like three days in a row, as I recall. We had practiced that one scene so many times that I knew all the lines and would say them all myself, just jumping back and forth from Harold's spot on stage to Parker's! I'd change my voice, too, giving them my best Harold impression. After that, I started getting requests to do the whole scene, even when Harold was there! My sister took a similar act with the Sheila-Berger scene that one time Mary didn't show up, so now most of the drama club is convinced scizophrenia runs in the family. Really, it's just that we all have good memories and can pick up lines quickly, even when they're not our own - but hey, you can never really be sure, can you? Of course you can! You're not schizo! What are you talking about? Shut up!

A-anyway! Thank you, Josiah! I am eternally in your debt. I'll be sure to talk up Pebble Version while I'm at it, too.

4164 had an incident similar to Silver when everyone else was taking forever to finish up what they were doing, so 4164 just went up during practice and relayed the entire scene by herself. There were three people total in the scene, and 4164 had the entire thing memorized (well, actually, the other character had a monolouge at the end that was quite long that she didn't know, as she had fled the stage by then). Our drama teached commented that we didn't need to worry about the other two showing up, since I had the entire scene covered. :D

4165 indeed thinks this is the most time consuming day yet. Though typing any word that comes to mind is rather fun. That and it'll be interesting to see how many people actually read these. If I hadn't spent the whole afternoon playing games and such, which I haven't really done for a while now, I probably wouldn't have to make so much junk up spur of the moment. Then again, I don't need to win this contest. If I did, I would post shorter posts, as I am definitely outdoing monologue and entering schizophrenic conversation. But is that really a bad thing? My psychiatrist says it is, but how would he know. Did the voices in his head tell him that schizophrenia is bad? How could he know that without first hand experience. Heck, it can't be all bad, or I would've been driven mad by having to to live with me and myself. I is nice, he usually doesn't bug us or me or myself. My head gets more and more crowded with every sentence I type. We can safely say that with us, me, I and myself, he doesn't have any room for himself. Ego wants to know how this all stemmed from count to 5000! Id really thinks Ego shouldn't know. Superego is going to tell him anyway.

4167 says that we were off, again. It also takes the time to remind anyone who cares that the correct number is always the number of replies listed for this thread in the Game Time section plus one, since the initial post that started the thread doesn't count as a reply. It makes sense, since there's nothing for that first post to be replying to, but it does make keeping track of the proper number a bit more difficult in games like this, now doesn't it?

In response to Silver's post, I'm glad that you enjoyed the monologues and I'm happy to hear that part of The Frequent World Savers Club will be used for something. It really was a good Neverwinter Night mod and I still love the script. It would have been great to post it online so everyone could know the brilliance of my witty dialogue, and the neat level designs, character, designs, and voice work done by myself and the rest of the team. If only Neverwinter Nights hadn't betrayed us by breaking two very important scripts and mangling a third. It really prevents you from playing the game properly and ruins the whole flow. Sure we were able to work with it for our presentation, but that was a presentation that I was running for a teacher who knew how evil Neverwinter Nights is. For a regular person playing through the mod, it just doesn't work. -.-
