Through much deliberating, I just decided to make a single Japanese thread. I'm going to sticky it, so that I don't lose track of it. I tend to be stupid like that.

The previous words were kaite (write), tegami (letter), natsu (summer), and isogashii (busy). The new words, so that I'm not just reposting the old, are gakko (school), and aki (autumn). How many of you have started school again?

That's some odd Romanization... Did he type it or say it? Oh wait, it's just curry that's throwing me off. That's just not transliterated. It should probably be "???"[kurri] if I were going to write it, but I've heard that it's correct to write a foreign word the way it's supposed to be written when Romanizing, so I'm just rambling here.

I recognize some of the particles, namely ?[no], ?[ka], and ?[ga]; the first shows possession and roughly corresponds to an apostrophe. The second shows a question if placed at the end of the sentence, right? The third marks the subject of the sentence. ?? [ii] means "good" as far as I know. I think he's asking something about curry being good. Not sure on any more of that. I have very little knowledge of ???[nihongo, Japanese]... I'm teaching myself from books and stuff so far, but it's not going too well. :P

It translates to "Does curry taste of ****** or curry? Not which one." Your Japanese aquaintance has a foul mouth.

New word: Sosh!te. It means and. De also means and. But sosh!te sounds cooler.

Doesn't "to" also mean and? What's the difference between to, de, and sosh!te?
