Hi! I'm off to China tonight. I expect internet access to be a bit uneven while there...

Yes, what Shauni said.
Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:

Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.

Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:

Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.

Hey, all!

Eep it's been a while. Again. Might as well just skip the "Whoops it's been a while" apologies at this point.

Uhm so general updates on my life are that I'm marching with a drum corps this summer (did I update you all on that? Maybe?). But hey any of you in the general northeast area of the United States should come to one of my shows! I know I haven't been around here terribly often, but drum corps are awesome and y'know shows are cool. After living with my corps on the weekends for the past month, I'm leaving to move in with my corps for realsies on Thursday, then I have a week of ~12 hour rehearsal days (eep) before we go on our mini tour (then I go home for a bit, then move back in and have more rehearsals and go on Big Tour). On my mini tour, I'll be at Foxboro, MA, Bristol, RI and Clifton, NJ on July 2, 3, and 5, respectively.

Yo but yeah come see 7th Regiment do some crazy music stuff. I spin around and run across a field while playing trumpet and idk I think it's pretty cool just sayin.

But yeah this summer has been super busy as, when I'm not working with my corps, I'm working 9-5, so no days off for me for literally the entire summer, which is just as well because pff what is time off. Have fun in China, Josiah!

Saber!!! You're going to be in Clifton?! Dang, I wish I could go, my dad's going there to support my brother who volunteers with one of the drum corps (Jersey Surf, if you're curious) kinda wish I could go but he's stayin out of town for an entire week after that and I'd rather spend July 8th home haha;;

Meanwhile I'm not doing anything nearly as intense as being in a drum corps, I'm still in the Marching Band at my high school but now I'm a senior so things are crazy. I hope you do great on your tour, Saber! I wish I could watch!

So some of the older Amiibo have finally resurfaced, I've been able to get myself a Lucina and Robin, and also a SECOND set for a friend of mine at retail price. All good except now I'm poor. I'm tempted by some of the new ones on Friday but I'm not a fan of there series, I just think they look nice so I MIGHT have to avoid the shops Friday haha.

I've got no holidays planned this year overseas. I've been away in the UK for a long weekend break, guess that will have to do while I TRY and save up for another good holiday next year LOL

Yoooo.

Aw, that's too bad, Puyon. So close, yet so far. Awesome that your bro is volunteering with Jersey Surf! I considered auditioning for them for a bit, but after I got cut from Boston Crusaders (again, so close. Got a callback, then got cut in the second round) I got an email from the 7th Regiment brass caption head saying that the Boston Crusaders director gave him my email, suggesting I should audition for 7th so here I am now playing lead trumpet for 7th Regiment! Exciting stuff. You should totally do drum corps while you have the chance. I admittedly didn't learn about dci until like a year and a half ago, making it too late to march last year (it would have been implausible anyways as I needed to take a summer class) and, since I'm 21, this is the last year I can march since I'll be too old next year. </3 Seize the day! Audition for drum corps while you can! It's grueling but like such an amazing experience.
May the Triforce be with you.

Like my Dad says, bad internet is better than no internet.

Hello children

So I, uh... I haven't had a laptop for a month so that has made it really hard to do things like post on forums but I missed all of you very much

dang I missed a Saber visit that's disappointing

In other news I got a job at TD Bank*. I am also still working at Regal. Both of these places just lost a bunch of employees all at once and are very very desperate for people to work all the time.

A typical day in the life of Silver right now involves working at the Bank from 10 AM to 4PM, and then at the theater from 5PM to 12 AM. But some days I'll only have to work one job! Just working 7 hours at the theater pretty much feels like a day off at this point...!

*I would just like to say that I'm a PNC guy and none of you will every understand how terrible it is that I can't bring my favorite travel mug to work because it says "PNC BANK" all over it

So yeah hi how's everyone else
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Everything has been quiet this side of the pond.

Buying a PS4 next week so I can get Skylanders Super Chargers next gen and Fallout 4 which looks amazing!

I need a second controller as the console is coming with Lara Croft and the something or other which is two player ^^

Speaking of two player, my 5 year old nephew has been playing a lot of skylanders with me, we played though Giants together and are now on Swap Force. He likes it more than I do! However it does give me an excuse to get more of them lol pitty he likes all the ones I consider "derpy" best haha. However, I have found I like a few of them for game play over looks, which makes me think I should, give more things a chance. I find myself thinking that one Giant called "Thump Back" looked really stupid but hes actually really cool to play. Might give a few of the odder looking once a chance after all.

Kinda like doing a Nuzlock on pokemon and seeing a design you hate is actually a really good pokemon to use, and you get attached to the weird lumpy fish with legs.
