Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Ouran is a fun series (I just bought the last few manga volumes, actually). For the anime, just watch the first episode (the entire episode, don't stop halfway through) and after that you'll have a good idea of whether or not you'll like it. I had a lot of friends who were iffy on it at first but changed their mind after finishing the first episode.
For those of you with some extra cash, Best Buy is selling $20 Nintendo cards (for 3DS and WiiU stores) for $16. They've also got Blu-rays of Seasons 5 and 6 of Doctor Who on sale for $20 each. And a near complete collection of 3 Stooges stuff for $30... Stupid holidays sales. I've been buying way too much stuff lately.

It is, in fact, true, that poor Stevenson worked all day Thanksgiving. We had to plan dinner around his break.
Also, I've now got a college degree and a fiancée. So yeah, that happened.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Argh, I can't believe you beat me to it! I was waiting until my anniversary to propose...
No, really, congrats though.

Hi! Congrats on both counts, Silver!
Nothing too exciting for me. Just grading final projects and getting other things done in preparation for winter break.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
Congratulations, Silver! That's great news!
Man, so many people around me are growing up, getting degrees n' stuff...and I'm finishing up my final year of high school. I feel very...young.
Anyway, school and stuff. Working on coding, compiling, and debugging various...things of mine. I wouldn't really call them 'projects'. I'm mainly just messing around, seeing how much I can do with what I know (what I know probably being very little) and still have it be related to what we're working on in class.
My pride and joy right now is a random character creator I coded in Python. It makes a random character by choosing from various heights, body types, eye colors, hair styles, colors, and lengths, top clothing types and colors, bottom clothing types and colors, and shoe kinds and colors. These choices are also coded so that the character's end clothing choices don't make them a complete fashion disaster. They still get some funky color combinations (e.g. green t-shirt, yellow shorts, and purple sneakers), but at least their not wearing sandals with dress pants or long sleeve shirts with shorts. I mean, let's be reasonable here.
So, that's about all I got for now.
Stay radical people!

Poison, I was going to make a similar comment, considering I turned 18 in August. Of course, I started in college when I turned 17, but I still feel much younger than everyone else here, with the exception of you, so I guess we're in a similar boat. Not the same boat. We're in two similar boats that just happen to be near each other and I've extended this way too far.

Yeah BFC, similar boats. Like, everyone else here has their own big sailing ships with big masts and hulls full of goods and stuff, and we're in two little dinghies. I'm in a row boat, and you're in a canoe or something.

Hi! I, on the other hand, tend to feel kind of old when stuff like that happens. I mean, two of my cousins and quite a lot of my friends are married and others (including my younger brother) are engaged. And I'm older than most of them...

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Oh? Proposing on Christmas then, cousin? Should I tell Emily about this?
Heh. She was totally convinced that's what I was going to be doing. I suppose that would've been funny, if we both proposed the same day without realizing it. I've been working very hard the last few months to deny her guesses in such a way that she really thought she had it figured out, without it being totally obvious that I was just pretending to be flustered to throw her off! Keeping secrets from girls is hard, man.
I had been planning the Madoka proposal since the first two movies came to theaters, though. And they just happened to come out... on Pearl Harbor weekend. I lucked out big time that they had a Sunday show, because if I had to propose on PEARL HARBOR I think I would've cried. So sorry for beating you - though, I am the eldest, so shouldn't I be the first?
Anyway, thanks for all the congrats, guys! And don't worry about your little dingys, you yungins. This ship's been a long time in the building. You've got plenty of time to make a cool fancy boat. And Josiah's is already cool and fancy, just in a different sort of way.

Moi,
I got a fever yesterday. I tend to run high fevers so I've been feeling a bit blah today.
Thinking about these boat metaphors, I makes me wonder. To make a new boat, do you have to go to dock and build your bigger boat while on land? Do you make the new boat while still in your smaller boat, using collected materials you've found or have gotten from other travelers? Is your boat like a Pokemon and evolves once you've gained enough experience (which would be kind of awesome)?
Ah, the things I wonder about when I'm sick.
Stay radical (and healthy) people!

Hi! I've toyed with ideas for some geeky proposals, though not too seriously considering my current lack of a girlfriend and all.
Anyway, I'm off to Hawaii tomorrow morning! Really really early tomorrow morning. Ah well, it's better than my return flight and I don't need to be especially awake to play Pokémon.

I warned him that it better have been nerdy, and the way he did was in fact nerdy.

Hey.
On the other hand, people getting engaged is a large mix of emotions for me. First off: Giant wave of excitement and happiness. Second off: wave of anxiety because AHHH HOW ARE WE GETTING THAT OLD!?
That being said: SUPER DUPER CONGRATS TO YOU! I'm so happy for you both :) A nerdy engagement sounds like one of the most wonderful things.
Uhm I really don't have much to say other than FINALS FINALS FINALS DRUM MAJOR STUFF FINALS FINALS AHHHH

Hi! I made it to Hawaii without problems. Also, Week of Randomness starts Sunday! Look for the thread and first day or two worth of themes to be posted Saturday.

Greetings All!
First Congrats Silver and Colly, and madoka proposal, just epic.
And I think I'm in the old boat. . . Particularly already having gone through the wedding stuff. . .
In other new, I'm looking after friends birds for a couple nights. Currently have two cuddly Cockatiels on me and another five on the couch. (Apparently cockatiel isn't a word and it keeps telling me the I'm trying to spell Cockatrice)
Besides that things are mostly good. My Grandad's be diagnosed with terminal cancer, thats a downer.
Anyway that's all from now. ^_^
