Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
I'm just doing a quick little post here. I have to get to bed really soon because I'm taking the PSAT tomorrow. Bah, waking up before noon on a weekend...Weekends are my time to catch up on sleep lost during the week! Hopefully I'll get some good sleep Saturday night...maybe I'll take a nap after the exam as well...
It's nice to know that some older members do come back here every once in a while. I'm one of those members that isn't here every day, but I don't stay away for that long. You don't get rid of me that easily.
So, uhh...my brain is starting to forget what grammar is, so I'll be getting to bed now.
Stay radical people! Peace off!

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hello! I just noticed something, for 8 years Josiah has had the same format of avatar picture. Just thought that I would let you guys know that. Almost a decade. Or one tenth of a century. Pretty crazy stuff.
On the same note of crazy stuff, just last night some people I knew got into a crazy car accident. They spun out on a gravel road and flipped. 2 of my friends that were in the truck died, and another 2 are in the hospital in critical condition. If anyone would like to read about this you can go here. Kinda rough day, considering the girl that died was my co-worker. A very unfortunate and sad day at work today.

Hi! Wow, really sorry to hear that, Luke. I hope the ones that are in the hospital recover.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
Sorry to hear that as well, Luke.
Actually, a week or so ago, some students at my school got into a nasty accident as well. Four people, three Juniors and one Freshman, were involved. They were driving way too fast and crashed into a school bus. Looking at pictures of the accident, I'm surprised that nobody was killed, though there were some bad injuries to the people in the car. Nobody on the bus was injured, from what I've heard.
The three juniors invovled are all guys that I at least know and/or see occasionally during school. One of them is even in my Chemistry class, and he's still not out of the hospital, or at least hasn't come back to school, yet. It's all a little bit surreal...
So, I finished up my PSAT a few hours ago. Not as hard as I expected. I might even say that it was rather easy. I possibly was over-thinking on some math and grammar questions, but I don't think I did too bad otherwise. I'm quite curious to see what I got on it.
So, that's 'bout all I've got to say for now. Stay radical people.

Some kid from my high school got hit by a train a few days ago. Yes, a train. He died... by being hit by a train. Why was he walking on train tracks? God knows, it's been suggested he was drunk. Didn't know him personally, but some of my friends did. It is indeed, very surreal.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Update on the whole ordeal, the 16 year old girl that I know has been put into a medically induced coma. The doctors are working around the clock to try and get her functioning properly again. When/if she comes out, she will never be the same from the he's trauma. Plus it would be absolutely heartbreaking to wake up and find out that 2 of your friends were killed in the same accident.
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! I don't know anyone who died or was seriously injured in an accident, but I did know a guy in colllege (a PV fan too) who died suddenly of a brain aneurysm a few years back. That was pretty shocking at the time. Certainly gets you thinking...
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Wow, the Saying Hi to Josiah thread went all dark over the weekend....
Sorry about everyone that has lost someone to something recently.
I'm 27 and only my Great Grandmas, a very close family friend and a distant relative have died. In my life I've only been to three funerals. I consider myself lucky in that regard as I've not lost anyone dear to me, but I fear that as with anything, these things will catch up with me, and I pray every day it won't be today.
I don't think I'd cope with the loss of a close loved one. I was in bits for days when the family dog died....
On a happier note, we find out on Thursday what my sisters next kid is going to be thanks to a scan. Looking forward to that! I love being an Auntie, I get all the best bits of the kids and none of the nappies and crying LOL
Also, on Black 2, I've got one more gym to go! I just need a Weavile and I've a full team as well,

Hi! Best Buy is having a buy two get one free sale on all their video games $60 and below. Fortunately(?), there aren't many new release games I want at present so I just ended up getting a set of $20 ones to fill out a few gaps in my collection.
In other news, the last presidential debate is tonight. I might watch it. Not entirely sure why though, since I already know who I'm going to vote for. Actually, I can't even change my mind if I wanted to since I got a mail-in ballot and already sent it in. I'm a bit more invested in this ellection than the last couple but, either way, I'll be glad when it's over and I don't have to put up with political ads and phone calls any more.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
Wow, that's really awful, Luke. I'll pray for them.
Not that my prayers will probably do any good considering Saturday night I was proclaimed Jesus at a party and I carried around a cross that was signed by everyone present. Really, I promise I'm not that crazy. Band people are just a little silly and a little not afraid of going to hell.
But, really, they're in my thoughts, Luke.
So my life continues to otherwise be weird and my saga with my drum major still continues. We hooked up a little bit after the party on Sat (both sober at the time) and she's said that we're gonna see where we're at in 3 weeks, aka when she's no longer my drum major, and see if some sort of relationship could actually happen. Really hoping everything works out; all the time I've been spending with her has been wonderful.
And I promise I haven't become just some sort of reckless drinking partying hookinguping person in college. Just experimenting around a bit with my life, but not doing anything too dangerous, and I'm still as silly and nerdy as ever. Whee!

What the hell? They push for votes and you can't even change your mind cos you already voted? No one really bothers over here with watching the political debates. You are voting for a party, not an actual PM, so if the leader of the party changes, someone else you didn't vote for ends up PM. Like when Tony Blair stepped down and Gordon Brown took his place without our input.the last presidential debate is tonight. I might watch it. Not entirely sure why though, since I already know who I'm going to vote for. Actually, I can't even change my mind if I wanted to since I got a mail-in ballot and already sent it in

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Not everyone has voted yet. They give you the option of mail-ins if you won't be able to vote on actual voting day. In that case, they need to be in early, so that all the votes can be counted up on the same day - but the actual elections haven't taken place yet so that's why they're still pushing for votes.

Hi! Silver is correct. I voted early via mail for convenience. I could have actually waited until after that last debate to send in my ballot, but I'd already made up my mind and they would have had to say some pretty ridiculous stuff to change my mind.
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Meh...I don't know about America, but over here our politicians all come out with the same old BS. After the expenses scandal http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kin ... es_scandal no one wants to known what they have to say, which is dangerous. Its bad when the people have lost faith in there leaders and aren't listening to what they are saying....

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! For the last few elections at least, elections here have been all about the divide between Democrats and Republicans, who tend to have very different views on the economy, role of government, and foreign policy. If you crunch the numbers I think the majority of the population is actually unafiliated, but the people firmly on one side or the other tend to be very passionate about it. My main problem with politics here is how nasty they can get at times. Some candidates put far more effort into trying to convince voters that their opponent is a horrible person, than they do talking about what they'd do if they won. And lately there's been a lot of people trying to turn elections into a rich vs. poor, white vs. black, etc. issue. Not to mention the ones who rant and rave about how anyone who doesn't agree with their views is an uneducated racist moron (not an exact quote, but fairly close in some cases). It can get pretty annoying.
