Man I know what you mean Gar. I can't wait until all of this is over. I'm just taking a break to go on the interwebs before I start on my next project.

Good luck to everybody else on their finals too.
That sounds great Poison. It's always nice when you're happy with what you've done :)

Oh, wait, it actually was a mammoth skeleton. Did some digging and found a picture of the guy online

Dang little model got in the way of my view of the other front foot when I was drawing.
Haha, thanks guys. My teacher took pictures, so maybe I'll get it in an email soon. It's not too much, though. We drew it using shapes of light so we didn't have to go into too much detail.

Hi.

Uggg...I hate this time of year. Essay due Monday, book report due Wednesday, Journey entries for German class and my group presentation of the Divine Comedy for another class Thurseday...I'm hating school right now.

Hi! Nice to see you, Gar! I was wondering where you'd gotten to.

I ended up spending most of the day watching TV while grading stuff. The schedule at the college where I'm working sucks when it comes to final grades. The last day of final exams is Monday. Professors have to turn in their final grades for every student by noon on Tuesday. I managed to schedule all my final projects so that have to be in by the end of Sunday, which is a little better but seriously... From my experience, colleges and universities usually give professors a week or two to turn in final grades. On the bright side, I got so much done today that I think I can take Sunday off. But anyway, Monday is more grading. Tuesday is turning in final grades. Wednesday and Thursday are...going in to work for absolutely no reason except they say that I have to. <.< And Friday is the graduation ceremony which I have to be in despite not have any graduating students in my program. But after that, it's summer break!

Oh, you know, this and that. College stuff, Pledgeship, ect. Oh, did I not mention? I finally got a bid to a (thankfuly nonhazing fraternity) and now I'm going to initiate Sunday night! Right before finals start on Monday! Isn't that amazing‽ Hey, I didn't say they were smart...

Oh yeah, I forgot you were teaching college. Does that mean we get to call you Professor (tree in the Fagales/Rosales order)?

Hi! Well, I am a professor, but I'd rather not be called such. At least so long as you're not in one of my classes.

Aw man it would be so weird to have to call Josiah professor.

Funny story about professors actually. I can just about every one of them professor, but then this semester I got a new one that insisted we just call him Brian. I was so used to saying professor that I kept slipping up. So as a joke, whenever I called him Professor, he would address me as Student.
He's a pretty chill guy. Much better than my last professor. I got out of that class because so many people transferred out that there weren't enough to keep it open. :P

Hi! I haven't really decided what I want my students to call me. Professor is a bit formal and I'm not at all used to Mr. Lebowitz. At first I thought Josiah would be fine, but it feels kind of weird when students call me by my first name... At this point, I pretty much just leave it up to them. Which means I've gotten all three of the above, along with Mr. L. Maybe I could get them saying Josiah-sensei... That worked in Japan...

Moi,

I know some of my teachers first names, but it would seem a bit strange to call them by that...I normally just say "Mr./Mrs. [Teacher's last name]" as usual, or, in the case of my German teacher, "Frau" (Which, literally, means "Woman/Miss").

So...I'm having a bit of an art block. Most of the time, when I get them, I just slowly make my way around or over them. Well this time, in order to not get bored, I'm drilling straight thorugh this art block. "How?" you may ask. By drawing random pictures, that's how!

Also, as I was doodling today, I started drawing a bunch of Mareeps. Seriously, Mareeps all over my Math and Science notes. After a while, I started to think of that old nursery rhyme that I was, and still am, plagued with. Yeah, "Mary Had A Little Lamb". After thinking about it for a bit and looking at all of the Mareeps, I had an idea. I'd take that nursery rhyme and remake in my own version. After about ten minutes, this is what I came up with:
  • Mary had a little lamb,
Whose fleece could shock you dead.
    And everywhere that Mary went,
The lamb was a step ahead.
It followed her to school one day,
    Leaving chaos in their wake.
It made the children run and cry.
    Escape, for your own sake!
I have to say, I am quite proud of it. I think I'll make a drawing to go along with each of the lines...this should be fun!

Stay radical people! Peace off!

Hey.

Been really preoccupied lately... forums have kind of totally slipped my mind!

ANYWHO I'm going to Cornell next year! It's official :D

Well AP tests are next week and it's also hell week for You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown so you probably won't see me around much for the next couple weeks... ta!

Oh God I remember that, Junior year was terrible. AP exams weren't during hell week but the week before for me, so it wasn't quite as bad. But I was still pretty stressed out about that AP exam, and I didn't get a break for two weeks after... you know, 8 PM rehearsals and all that. Come Senior year, I wasn't worried about the exam at all though. Maybe I just had a really good teacher Junior year? It was really easy the first time and I got a 4. Junior year AP English was definitely the hardest class I've ever taken, nothing in college has even come close. So after that, the rest seemed like a cakewalk. But it sucks to be an over-achiever in your Senior year when all your friends have gotten lazy...

Oh, and congrats on Cornell.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Cornell? Nice. Not the school I would have chosen *cough* but still, congrats on getting into an Ivy League!

So, half way done with finals, and I'm finally a member of a fraternity! Be on the look out for drunk posts of sexual conquests. I kid, of course.

Also, I have thus-far determined that Indiana Jones is the worst archaeologist ever, this coming from an archaeology major. He's a perfectly fine adventurer, but not the person I'd have on the dig-site with me.

Oh, yeah? How about Jackie Chan then, Mr. Archaeology Major? I bet he's a better archaeologist than you'll ever be.

It's The Doctor you lack-witted beetle head, not Dr! [/nerd-rage]

Ahem, yes. Personally, I'm surprised Dr. Song isn't out of a job yet since she's also a time traveler.
