Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I'm not much of a car person, but based on the info you provided, the Civic sounds like the smartest choice.
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! I found that Kelley Blue Book's web site lets you check fair prices for car sales and trade-ins. It's good to know what price to push for when I go back. At this point, I think I've narrowed it down to the Civic and Elantra. The Elantra would be either a little cheaper or a bit fancier (and more expensive) depending on which model I went with. The Civic is easier to get (they've got plenty on the lot) and simpler since it's the same brand I've got now. Though, in the end, it may come down to who is easier to talk into giving me a fair price for the car and my trade-in.
Anyway, I'm not going car shopping again until at least Friday. I've got more important things to do with my free time right now, like testing out the Xbox 360 version of Car Washer (a nice change from all the time I've spent on the PC version) and checking out that FFXIII-2 demo that got added to the PSN last night.

Moi,
Well! It seems mother nature finally realized it was winter around here! We got quite the blizzard here, though it's not that uncommon. I actually was so excited, I decided to do a bit of shoveling right when I got home from school! All 5 inches of snow and about 1/4 of an inch of slush and now cleared from the driveway!...I can barely move my arms now, but I'm still happy with my work!
So, over the past few days, I've been watching Star Trek (the original series) like mad. I think I'm around episode 25 of season 1. I'm quite happy that the weekend is here, since now I can finally watch Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan! (I borrowed the DVD from one of my friends)
So, I've been well, I'm feeling quite happy right now and...that's all I really wanted to say!

'Ello!
I just came back from the archery range. Stayed there for about an hour and a half doing nothing but shooting, so my bow arm's a bit tired. It was the most fun I've had in a while, though. I'm planning to join the archery club at school. $25 per quarter/$50 per year seems to be a reasonable deal anyway. It's about time I found a hobby other than RPing.
Good luck when you finally take your driver's test, Metalheadz! It's an awesome feeling when you finally get your license.

Archery sounds awesome. I only got to do it once in gym class, though. Sounds like you had fun!
You got snow Poison? Lucky! We've only got flurries so far. Last year around this time we were buried in snow. I guess that's good though because the roads are clear.
Finally did that stupid homework assignment. Since it was the end of the semester we really weren't supposed to get homework. In fact, I actually asked this teacher if we were going to have any, and she said she doesn't assign it over the break...then at the end of class she was all "Y'know what, I think I'm going to give you homework after all."
It was about time I got it over with. :D

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Almost back to school... Many days later than I planned. Because getting the oil changed, and the tires replaced and aligned, apparently takes a week.
Apparently, I missed snow at my university.
Shopping for a car is always fun with us. "Do you have this model with a stick?" "What's that?" "You know, a manual... Not automatic... A real car." "People still drive those?" (Only slightly exaggerated.)
It's funnier when my mom asks. Apparently women can't drive manuals? It's the only thing we own, and my mom can't drive an automatic because she always uses the brake as a clutch accidentally.
Hope you like whatever you choose, Josiah. Also, hi!

Hi! I did archery at camp once a long, long time ago and it was fun. Hope you enjoy it, Metal.
Well, I got my new car. It's a 2012 Civic. I ended up spending about $1,000 more than I would have liked, but short of trying to walk out and force a desperation offer, I don't think I could have gotten them to go any lower. Trying to keep my Colorado regisitration is proving a little tricky, but I think I'll be able to get that all worked out on Tuesday (since all government offices are closed on Monday for the holiday). Why keep my CO registration? Because if I don't, I need to not only register the car in Florida but switch my insurance and drivers liscense to FL as well, which would also require changing my permanent address. And, since I currently can't be sure whether or not I'll still have a job here come May, I don't really want to do that.
Anyway, really looking forward to the weekend. I'm planning to go to a theme park on Sunday (haven't made up my mind about which one yet). But I just found out that Evanescence is having some concerts in FL this coming week. Unfortunately, they don't have one Sunday night, which would have been perfect, but there's are ones Monday and Wednesday nights that are around a two hour drive from here. I could make it either one, though it would mean driving back late and getting relatively little sleep before work the next day. Still, if there are any tickets left there's a good chance I'll go to one.

Hey.
...my father was a huge Trekkie back in his day. I've watched some old stuff by proxy :P
ARCHERY! I used to be so into archery (and by "so into" I mean I had a range in my backyard... not that I competed or anything). For all the local competitions, you have to shoot with a composite bow... those are boring. Re-curve all the way! Anywho, in like 5th grade I took archery classes. It was me and a bunch of boys, and I was so good they had to move my target back further and I was STILL beating everyone else. Hehehehe >:D
I haven't shot in years, though... Since we still don't have any snow, I could go and set up the target again and go shoot... Such a fun sport!

O hai thar.
I hate these little bouts of absences from me. I do something, then I leave, and all the while the fear that I (probably) did something wrong knaws and knaws and knaws on my innards... oh well.
Anybody remember Bionicle? Got the 6 toa nuva for christmas, extremely happy. Got StarCraft 2 (surprisingly instead of KOTOR), bursting with happy. Got chocolate. Consumed within twelve seconds flat. 20% cooler than last year (dear god).
Overall, I trust that everyone's having a happy new year? Hopefully.
cheers

Moi,
Goodness, I think my new scarf is trying to kill me. Sometimes when I wear it, part of it will get tangled around various limbs so that when I try to get up, I trip over it and almost kill myself. This has happened at least five times since I got it. Maybe I shouldn't always wear it around the house...or maybe it was cursed by some evil space-being the 4th Doctor ran into once, who knows?

Ah, yes. Everyones favorite quote from the movie. (I personally like most of Khan's lines myself) My parents also watched quite a lot of Star Trek back then. No real surprise that I turned out to be just as obsessed, if not, more so, then them.Saber Knight wrote:KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!!!!

Greetings Mina!
Ahhh Star Trek, one of the many sci-fi's I grew up on. Some okay, others, well maybe it wasn't such a good Idea for me to watch Red Dwarf when i was 7+, ah but red dwarf be so awsome. Doctor Who's still the best though. ^_^ I've also been messing around with my muffin recipe lately. Consequently I've been eating lots of muffins, although their small ones, don't know if that really makes it any better though.
Also trying to get accepted to uni, its a bit difficult when they don't process your application in time for the offer rounds. Theres a slim chance I may get in on the 9th of febuary but otherwise I'll have to reapply mid-year. Lots of fun.
Kaida also realized that Kaida would have been fired a long time ago if she said every thought that came to mid when a customer said something stupid.
Thats all for teh moment. Jana. ^_^

Hi! I did manage to get a ticket to tonight Evanescence concert. In the end, I decided to go to a theme park yesterday then spend the night and do some shopping and stuff in Orlando before heading to Tampa for the concert (Tampa is much closer to Orlando than the place where I live). Since I was spending the night, I decided to go the Magic Kingdom, since it was open till midnight. There'll be a full write-up on PV on Wednesday.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Thanks for your support on the driver's license, everyone!
Poison, I'm glad I'm not the only Trekkie on this forum now.
As for the archery part, I really wish I had more time last year to participate in the archery club. I had to quit halfway because of track and field plus AP exams, but hopefully senior year will be a bit different. I'm more interested in the riflery club, however. It's tough choosing between the two.
Apparently I now have both the SAT's and ACT's to study for now. That plus I'm now watching Macross Frontier, Gundam SEED Destiny, and One Piece all at the same time. And gah, how could I forget the Superbowl? In case you're wondering, Josiah, I happened to finish SEED a while back and I really enjoyed it later on in the show. I uphold all my previous statements criticizing the show as of now.
Peace out!
