The Land of Mary's is very popular this time of year, isn't it? Say "hi" to Stevenson for me. I haven't seen him in a while.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! And happy average day to everyone who doesn't celebrate it today!

That reminds me. Since I'm in college in New York, there are now two locations in which to find me :D

But my availability in New York is sketchy at best. My folks are always asking me if I've explored the city and stuff like that, but they forget that college has taken up the majority of my life the doesn't involve sleeping. And as such my free-time has encroached on my sleeping. And sleeping just has to deal. Gotten the hang of sleeping, though. But on Saturdays I tend to just goof off. All day.

Still gotta meet up with Silver. Eventually. I've got to start traveling around my state more. I barely know any of the county names.

Anyway Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Americans. To everyone else, Happy Celebrate Your Unique Talent Day!
...No joke. That's what it says.

Hi! If any of you ever want to come to Florida, and stay two hours away from all the cool stuff, you can visit me. At least through early May anyway. Even if I end up staying with this job for another year, I'll probably spend most of the summer elsewhere.

Hi! Reading the conversation about college, meeting up, and travelling makes me feel like the youngest member on the site. :drop:

Happy Turkey Day, everyone! Well, not Turkey Day for me. Today my family and I decided to twist the tradition today by not killing a turkey, but instead having Korean food. I must say, I prefer Korean food over turkeys anyday, but the traditional Thanksgiving dinner is still amazing, though.

Peace out and hope everyone's Thanksgiving goes well! ;-)

Moi,

(I'm a few hours late. for this...oh, whatever!) Merry Day of Thanks to be Given/Whatever anyone else celebrates Day!

Gosh, cooking was quite the task this year. Me and my dad made biscuits, pumpkin pie, sweet potato casserole, and pumpkin pie, which we brought over to my grandparents house to have Thanksgiving dinner with them. Everything was absolutely delicious~ It was too bad my cousins in Buffalo weren’t able to come this time, but, none-the-less, I still had fun. There were quite a lot of leftovers, but I'm sure those will be gone in no time.

Ditto Metal, but I think I'm a bit closer to being the youngest member here.

*Checks time* ARG. What am I doing up at this time? Darn you slot machines!** Darn you! *Shakes fists skyward* Why must Ditto-Clefairy be my lucky Clefairy? (I mean, seriously? Eight bonuses in a row?)

Anyways, yeah, bed n' sleep n' such...Stay radical people!

(**Slot machines in Pokémon Platinum that is...)

Thanksgiving was fun. The cat jumped in our gravy bowl. It was very graceful.
Good thing we have enough leftovers, that the loss of one wasn't terrible.

Then there was Black Friday. We went out at a little before midnight and stayed out until around 7, and got the least out of all our years of going Black Friday shopping.

Hi! I wasn't planning to do any Black Friday shopping but I ended up walking around a mall to kill some time and decided to look in Gamestop. Long story short, I ended up getting a few things due to their buy 2 get 1 free used game sale. But that was it for Black Friday for me.

Metalheads, don't feel bad. Being young is a good thing! Trust me. To be honest even though I'm getting older (eep) I still haven't traveled that much. Before going to college I mostly stuck around my hometown.

Thanksgiving here was great. We still have leftovers.

So my younger brother suddenly rounded all my siblings up and told us that a friend texted him that Santa was in town and that we were going to see him. So, we were wandering down main street when we found him by a jeweler's. Suffice to say this was one of the more...interesting...Santas I've ever met. At least he gave us all candy canes. I just can't help but wonder if Santa's gonna be there all December. I mean, it's still November.

But it could be worse. I went to Home Depot the day after Halloween and it was already all decked out in Christmas decorations :P

Hey.

So, didn't do any Black Friday shopping, but I got some incredible deals today! I have an interview with MIT next week (whee! Nervous!) so I decided to finally buy my own suit (I've always wanted one!) and we ended finding one that was 60% off. That plus my mom's 10% off coupon made life awesome. Now I have a wonderfully spiffy suit that I'm kind of in love with... huzzah!

Derp. Not too much going on for me... Fiddler went fantastically (yeesh, have I not posted since then?). Working on college stuff and this ridiculously stupid essay I was asssigned for AP English (Oh, remember how I was complaining about that class? Well, I think I finally figured out what he's looking for, because I pulled my grade from a C to an A- :D :D ). Also trying to sing whenever I'm not doing anything else (or perhaps WHILE I'm doing other things) because my mom finally got me voice lessons (after years of asking) and I'm trying to make the most of them.

Oh, and I need to practice walking in heels. That too! Should be an adventure. Decided I'm wearing my suit to my marching band banquet (our last football game was on Thanksgiving, :( ) on Sunday so I can practice walking in heels before the interview. And, I get an excuse to wear my new spiffy suit. Yay!

Hi! I'm heading back to Florida in the morning. Not much else to say really, it's been a pretty good trip but it'll be nice to get back to my place. It'd be nicer if I didn't have to go back to work on Monday, but that's the way things go.

Hey.

Welp, the story finally got big! My school is on national news for hazing! I heard about it a few weeks back, but, stuff happened (go find the article if you want... shouldn't be too hard, it's pretty much everywhere, even if I don't give you my school name... meh, kind of given up on the whole "not saying where I live" thing) and it finally became public... you'd think my school would have learned to not try to hush things up. There was another issue that broke a couple years back (not as big as this one, though) that could have been totally avoided if no one tried to hush things up.

People already hate my town, and now everyone hates it more! Whenever I get nervous, thinking about going away to college, I think "Well, I'm getting out of this town, SO IT'S OKAY!" We've got teachers protesting every morning (they haven't had contracts for a year and a half, they're rather upset about that), a school board that still refuses to give them the money, programs being cut, scheduling changed so that kids can't take as many AP classes, and now a really horrible hazing incident. If the hazing incident hurts my chances at college, I will be so freaking cross. Gah. Honestly, everyone's like "it's all fine, the school produces kids that get very high AP and SAT scores and get into a lot of colleges!" Dude, at the rate things are going... that's not lasting, and you need to open your freaking eyes. Gah.

Hi! Thanks Sira.

Saber, if that story is what I think it is... Well, I'll send you a message if you'd prefer not to talk about it on this thread. That sounds like it really sucks, though...

In other news, I have to start preparing to take my ACT... It's much earlier this year at my school than I expected it to be, and I've been spending already a lot of time for the SAT's. Time to work my butt off some more, woohoo!

Peace out!

Hi! Yeah, it really sucks when people in your school, hometown, etc do something serious enough to make the news. Some guy at UAT, where I went t college, is on trial as a suspected member of LulzSec. Though, since it's been a while since I graduated, I was able to mostly about that whole thing... Don't worry too much Saber, as you said, you'll be off to college soon enough. Besides, in another couple of days some movie star will do something stupid and everyone will forget about your school.

Hey.

Soooo since news crews aren't allowed on the school during school hours, apparently they flooded about a half hour after school let out yesterday, trying to stop kids who were at sports practices and stuff for interviews. And there was also a news truck on a side street that was stopping cars for interviews. Had to drive past it on my way to a friend's house... Ugh. This town.

Oh, but we got a gold medal for having the best composting program in the state! So... yay? Now other towns will not only think we're snooty, but they also know as the hazing school that composts well. HOW DANDY!

In other news: I might be getting a tutoring job. YES. Any suggestions on how much I should charge?
