Hey.
Josiah wrote:Hi! You're in Fiddler, Saber? Are you in the band or are you playing a character?
In da band, on 1st trumpet! Lots of fun! Lots of... panic because opening night's a a week from today!

Oh, and senior night's tomorrow for band... usually, kids just get assigned to a senior (or, in less organized years, we kinda just picked our own seniors) and make them a t-shirt and a poster. My kid (who was already one of my favourite new kids in the band) went and made me an AMAZING t-shirt and bought me flowers and a trumpet bracelet! YAY FUN!

Veteran's day services to play out tomorrow, then a football game, then rehearsing my jazz band audition piece, then working on Fiddler music, then buying a new straght mute 'cos mine broke.... YAY SO MUCH TRUMPET!

Oh, and probably going to a movie tonight, so that's also fun :D

Ah, Fiddler. I love Fiddler. Especially since that was my senior play.

Moi,

Well, today was an interesting day...

When I got to school, I stepped into the anteroom (an enclosed staircase room thing right in front of the auditorium where my friends and I hang out before homeroom starts) to hear the sounds of violins. Apparently, one of my friends, Xandra, wanted to practice because she's playing...somewhere...either way, she's getting paid for it! One of my other friends, James, who also plays violin, thought that this would be the perfect opportunity for a...

Violin Off!

They played a whole bunch of songs, and it was quite fun. A few of my friends were actually dancing to some of the more fiddle-y songs. This lasted pretty much until we all needed to get to homeroom...And I have to say this: A violin off is a great way to start the day!

The classes today were shortened a bit because on a Veteran Day assembly at the end of the day. At the assembly, some veterans from around came and talked about the wars they were in and what they wanted us kids to learn from their stories. All in all, a pretty rad end to the day.

Oh, also, a not-so-rad thing happened today. I'm pretty sure I lost one of my USBs. Now normally, I wouldn't worry so much since I have everything on them on either my computer or in my files on the school computers...but this USB was a bit different. It's not the fact I lost it that worries me, but the fact that somebody might see what's on it. I used that particular USB for carrying pictures and drawings that I am working on. There's nothing really bad about the pictures, it's just that I'm always nervous about people looking at my drawings...

Maybe I'm over-reacting a bit...well, more then I usually do...Oh well.

Anyways, stay mint everyone!

[Oh gosh, I'm using way more out-dated lingo then I usually do. Seriously, I've been talking like this all day...I don't think anyone now-a-days even uses the term "mint".]

Hi! As is turns out, the Japanese PSN doesn't accept debit cards at all so I guess I'll either have to get a card from Play-Asia or a similar site and pay the import cost or wait until the next time I go to Japan (summer, hopefully). Nice to know that Play-Asia will send the code digitally if I do go with them.

Hey,

Ok, so today has been quite the interesting day. We had Remembrance Day and had a really cool assemly where I found out (along with the rest of the school) that one of our teachers is in the Canadian Navy. That was really cool! The rest of the assembly was pretty standard, just talking about Canada's exploits in every thing they did overseas, pretty average.

On a unrelated note, when playing a video game called MLB Power Pros 2008, I was playing the Home Run Derby and got into such a groove, that really I cannot remember anything past the 30th home run up to where I faltered at the 82th pitch. Really weird, considering I have never had a "In the Zone" on anything up until today which is really cool!

Anyways, I think I have said enough,

Ouchmykneehurtsohaitharppl,

Ah, the memories... 11/11/11... 11:11:11... One of my former classmates, back in 8th grade, obsessed over the time. I admit it it was interesting at the time... Now, however, people crowded around my watch to look at the countdown to... well, you know. :-/ Wasn't fun to have this horde of people surround me and ask relatively dumb questions about my watch. But that's done and done... And that's about it, for now.

Ah the whole thing of making a wish on 11:11:11. Yeah, I'm totally going to make a wish. Wishes indeed have come true for me. What that was is something I will take to the grave with me. My life is going alright, school work none too hard. Things with someone who has become a little more than a friend have become err.....complicated. Anyway, hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving for everyone in the U.S.

Hi! Welcome back, Winter! ;-D

Made my wish last night at 11:11 on 11/11/11. One more century to go, and there it is again. Shouldn't be long from now, hm? In other news, tomorrow will be tightly packed in my schedule.

Peace out!

Moi,

Hiya Winter! Nice to see ya back here!

Well, this is going to be an interesting day. Girl Scout cookie selling season recently ended, so now I have to get all of these cookies ready to give to everyone. It's going to be a bit interesting because I have over 125 cookie boxes. Considering I'm an older Girl Scout, that's actually quite a large amount.

So...not much going on. A new marking period in school, so that's something, I guess.

Oh yeah! I just remembered something. I've been drawing quite a few cats recently. The reason for this is because I'm working on a little (or not-so little) drawing. Basically, it all started with me wondering what a few of the Batman villains would look like as cats. I drew a few and my friends thought they were quite cute/odd, so they wondered what a few other villains and heros would look like. And now, because of that, I've got a bit of a project on my hands. A fun project, none-the-less! (And, I have to say, Robincat [even though he's more of a kitten] looks pretty cute~)

'Nyways, stay chill people!

Hi! I got an e-mail from Best Buy saying that my Professor Layton order would be canceled soon because it had been on back order for so long (never mind that I pre-ordered it a month and a half in advance). So I canceled it myself and figured I'd not just a copy in town. As it happened the actual Best Buy store had one and it cost $10 less than what they were charging online. <.< Best Buy is usually good with pre-orders but this year they've been having some issues, especially with Layton. All my other games so far have worked out fine with only a few minor issues. But anyway, puzzle time!

Really? My selling season used to be January-early February. Weird.

ANYWHO working on ridiculous Fiddler music of ridiculous. Playing 1st trumpet is certainly an adventure since the book is written for a professional! With trumpet, the difficulty of hitting higher notes increases exponentioally... hitting a C on the staff and a D on the staff is a total joke, whereas a C off the staff is very tough, and I can hit a D off the staff maybe 25% of the time. WHEEE SO MUCH FUN I LOVE PRESSURE! I have the lead for pretty much every dance, so THAT'LL be fun! Lovely thankless job of loveliness! If we (the pit orchestra) do good, then no one notices us... if we do poorly, everyone's like "wow, that pit sucked!" YAY!

Hello all

I had to put my dog down on Friday after having her for 13 years, my German Shepard named Leah.

I'm absolutely gutted about it, I've had pets die before but never had anything like a dog die...I keep forgetting she's gone and then I remember and i'm all depressed again.

Sorry if I've bummed you all out, I just felt I should let you know if I disappear for a while, I should be okay soon, but its the last thing I wanted to happen, but she was ill for months.

Hi! Sorry to hear that, Shauni.

That Simpsons episode yesterday got me in the mood to cook something fancy. Probably won't have time today though and, even if I do, I really should make some muffins and use up the rest of my pumpkin pie filling before I move on to anything else...
