Yes, I'm new. Yes, I created this account just so I could say hi and God bless to Josiah. I hope everything turns out all right over there.

Hi! Thanks everyone! There's some danger of a leak at a nuclear plant which is a bit worrying but it's pretty far from me (170 miles) and I think they should have it under control before things get serious.
Metal, I wouldn't worry too much about your vacation. The vast majority of the country wasn't hit very hard (they just don't show all the perfectly fine areas on the news). Unless you're planning on going to the northen part of Japan (especially along the coast) you probably won't even notice that there was an earthquake. And even there I suspect they'll be in pretty decent shape come summer. Japan has a great emergency response system.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! Yeah, that whole situation is bad but it's looking like, even in a worse case scenario, it would only affect the area a few kilometers around the plant and I'm something like 250 kilometers away. These plants are built much better than Chernobyle was so even if a meltdown happens (which it hopefully won't) the damage should be contained.
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Well, I heard it's only very dangerous if you're in a 12 kilometer radius of the explosion. And you said you were 170 miles from it? Even so, I still think that I should worry, just a little bit.
That awkward moment when all your attachments just die.

Moi,
Ohh...my...I thought for a minute there I was going to go into a rage or something. I almost permentaly deleted all of the sites I normally go on...Thank goodness for that recycle bin or else I would have had to go back an try to find all of them again...that would not have been fun.
Anyway, since that disaster has been averted, I'm working on a project for German. I get to make up my own restraunt and a menu for it. So far, I've gotten '=3= squid' kalamari (yes, I know it's spelt with a 'C', not a 'K'.) and the day's speciality: SpyCrab!....whoops...strike that. It appers he's ran [erm, crawled] away...oh well...umm...anyone got any ideas? *waiters shake heads* ...darn...okay, time to add random faces to certain food items!

Hi! A lot of stuff was closed yeterday and today. Not because of damage, but to give employees a chance to recover mentally...and probably since the earthquake was just a really good excuse to take some time off. So I pretty much just hung out all day, rebuilt my PV buffer, and kept an eye on the news about that nuclear plant. Long story short...lots more doom and gloom headlines but no major developments either way.
My school is closed tomorrow because of the quake (once again, there wasn't any real damage, just because) so I'm planning on going to downtown Tokyo and getting some errands done. Hopefully stuff will be open...

Hello everyone! Guess what? Yesterday (well, Friday-Saturday) I didn't sleep for 39 hours!
I participated in a fundraiser to raise money for kids who have cancer. We were required to dance for twelve hours, and were not allowed to sit down. It started at 8pm Friday and ended at 8am Saturday. Didn't want to mess up my sleep pattern so I stayed awake for the rest of the day.
I did it last year, but I had to leave early to catch a train into New York so I didn't get the full effect. It was pretty crazy. This year they even rented a DDR machine and put it in the hallway. To be honest, it was my first time ever playing DDR. It was so awesome! The machine also came in pretty handy, because whenever I felt like I was getting tired I'd walk out to it and stare at the bright flashing screen to wake myself up
.
When I woke up this morning my feet and shoulders were killing me. My feet I can understand, but my shoulders? Eh, oh well. Despite the lack of sleep, it was a lot of fun

Hey.
Well, this has been a wicked busy weekend. Was home for like 20 mins, now I'm off to go volunteer at a soup kitchen. *insert halo here*

Halo, eh Saber? He seems like a pretty cool guy, eh kills aliens and doesn't afraid of anything.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
In other news, you know how lame I am? I set up a fictional character twitter account. Well, I made my non-posting twitter account with a good name in to a fictional character twitter account at any rate. If you care, the name is DeadBonesBrook, and I'm posting as...well, Brook. From One Piece. Oh yeah.
In other other news, Aloha!

That's small time, I'm running 3 (technically four) Facebook roleplay pages at once. Activity increased on them once we were able to post and comment on pages as pages.
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I've done that before Stevenson, you are not alone.
Also I have to give a five minute speech tomorrow in Public Speaking. Not looking forward to it, but considering I chose a topic that I'm really comfortable with (designing maps in a video game), it shouldn't go TOO badly.

Moi!
Nom-nom-nomming zome corn for dessert....don't judge me. I like corn.
What are zhese "Facebook" and "Twitter" beasts you speak ov? (I have a Facebook account, but I barely use it...ever. Only vhen I find really funny things, vill I post zhem. Other zhen zhat, I only go on at least once every few days...)
Finnishing up zhat German project. I might as vell have just named mein restraunt: "Zuper Kawaii Restraunt". Every single menu item I draw looks to cute to eat....
Vas on DeviantART for quite a vhile lookingk up random things.
Getting kind of late, but it doesn't feel that late...zhis is why science haz no need for daylight zavings time. It doesn't have anyzhing to do with zhe vay the earth moves or how we move around zhe sun. If there vas no daylight savings time, it really wouldn't make a differance. Zhe only reason we have it is because people don't vant to be vakingk up vhen it's to dark or to bright outside.
Ahh...sorry 'bout zhat short rant. Back to my German project.
(Oh My....maybe I've been obsessing over zhe TF2 Medic a bit to much. I'm not only ztartingk to talk like him, but type like him...ah vell. As long as people can understand me, I think I'm fine.)

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Glad to hear you are okay Josiah. I've been home alone this weekend and only found out on Saturday what happened...
It's been really bothering me the way the UK media has been covering this. They went on and on about nuclear safety and "lessens that could be learnt" instead of concentrating on the fact there are 1000's of people died.
"Nuclear plants are dangerous! They shouldn't be used." for like 2 hours instead of concentrating on the fact more people could die if they did go into meltdown. They were talking like it was already over and about "lessens" we could learn when the crisis wasn't even over yet. it sickens me these people were more interested in arguing the case against nuclear plants than the fact people died and more could die. They seem to be forgetting the plants were hit with an earthquake AND a tsunami. It's not like they just broke on there own.
From the pictures they have been showing it does look really bad. The wave just washes houses away. Whole settlements have just vanished...
I've just been reading a news paper and it says there is another quake due to hit as well, like a really bad after shock...Look after yourself Josiah, it looks like it is only going to get worse before it gets better.
