Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! I think all the Miyazaki movies (with the possible exception of Castle of Calligro (which doesn't really count since it was pre Ghibli and based on the Lupin serious, so it had to follow that story) and Pom Pokor (haven't seen so I'm not sure) have little girls. Nearly all of them have old women, though some are less ugly and/or play a much smaller roll than others (Totoro, for example). I don't recall Porco or Mononoke having an old women, but could be wrong. I'll agree with Silver and Spirited Away was rather low on conflict, but I liked the crazy world and characters enough that I didn't really mind (but that's just me). Same thing with Kiki's and Totoro. They're more aimed at kids so there's less conflict which, will it can occasionally bore some older watchers, works very well for the type of story being told. Actually, I've watched and/or rewatched quite a lot of Miyazaki movies in the not too distant past thanks to me membership in the Disney Mobie club, which has tons of huge sales (often 50 - 60% off) on all Disney movies (Miyazaki films included). At this point, I've got DVDs for everything except Pom Pokor, Mononoke, and, of course, Ponyo. I don't have any of the non Miyazaki Ghibli stuff yet, but that'll be next once I get the last couple of Miyazaki DVDs I need.
On a totally different subject, I'm heading back to CO tomorrow for vacation. I'll have my laptop and my parents' highspeed internet, so I'll probably still be on the forums just as much (possibly more). But I'll be in the car most of the day tomorrow so if I get on, it won't be until fairly late.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I am signifacantly annoyed at my PS3. This morning I tried to sign on the PSN only to recieve "DNS Error Code 80028C0C" which, according to the Sony tech-suppourt website, does not exist. What's even more aggravating is that I can't seem to find anything wrong with the connection; resetting the router and unpluggign everything does nothing, and whenever I do an internet connection test everything checks out, including connecting to PSN. I've also looked up the code on various websites only to come away empty-handed, so I have no idea what to do now other than let my Dad try and take a stab at it. I hate technology...

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Just checking things one last time before my trip tomorrow. Doodle, a DNS error is a type of web error. Most likely there's nothing wrong with your PS3 and the problem was with your local DNS server. Try it again a bit later (a day or two at most) and it should probably work fine.

Heya!
Went to Cedar Point today! Voted best amusment park in the... United States, I think, 11 years straight. Bam! Last time I went was 4 years ago. I know that 'cos I recall it had only been voted the best 7 years straight last time :P.
Anywho, I went on my favorite roller coaster ever.... MILLENNIUM FORCE!

The drop is nearly vertical... 80 degrees... you go so fast! And it's SO FUN! A 300 feet 1st drop of SCREAMING AWESOMENESS at a max of 93 MPH. Just... pure... awesome. I love roller coasters.
So, even though my feet are now sore, all in all it was an awesome day :D

Hihi.
Well Kaida's done for long-winded posts today.
And she has a lovely assignment she needs to finish. It feels strange doing an assignment after so long...

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
First off, I would never have the guts to go on that Roller Coaster. I did California Screamin' at Disneyland and It just about killed me.
Sorry for my absence. This week was busy. I went to a singing workshop this week and learned to sing decently. Also I wrote a song called 'Angry Shark'. I might Youtube it. Might is the key word here. Everyone at the camp liked hip-hop or pop, and it was killing me that I was the only one who knew The Beatles. My sister went with her friend, and when we car pooled she had this 'Spin Spin Sugar' song on. My ears were bleeding.
I got an SD Card to store songs on Rock Band 2 Wii. It's 4GB non-SDHC, and with all the instructions it doesn't work. I've troubleshooted so much, and I have no clue what to do... and school is in 6 days. Yay.

Flora can at least ride Space Mountain at Disneyland (the one in CA). I spend the entire time shoved as far down in my seat as I can go, and with my eyes closed. >>'

I want to go on a rollercoaster... I've never been on a rollercoaster.
Anyway Greetings from Canada! We finally made it. I've had a horrible sense of foreboding for over a week now as if something horriffic was going to happen, but everything is just going so well. There's a mall within a 5 minute walk. It's great. I can't wait to get all my stuff organised and get comfortable.
Also can't wait to learn Canadian coins. They're so different >.< Also why is tax added on after? It's the same in America. Jeez that's a stupid system. In Australia prices are marked including tax. It's gonna take soem time getting used to the tax thing.

Hi! Finals are done, I'm back in CO, and vacation has begun. Though I've got some things I want to work on over vacation and my parents have some stuff they want me to work on, so I'll see just how vacationy it is... Oh well, least I can watch anime while doing most of that stuff.
I was scared to death on the first three roller coasters I rode (two of which were dinky little kiddy coasters too) but that was quite a long time ago. Now I love them. The crazier the better. It's mostly thanks to Hershey Park, which I used to go to every year while visiting my grandparents. They've got some great coasters there. Haven't been for a couple years though. I kinda miss it...
Since returning from Japan, I miss having sales tax added into the sticker price as well. But the reason they don't do it in some countries (such as the US and Canada) is a psychological thing. See, supposedly a lot of people are too dumb to realize that, for example, $19.99 is essentially $20. Supposedly, if something is under a certain price point (such as $20 or $100) people will be more likely to buy it on impulse since it's "cheap". And a price like $21.46 just doesn't say "cheap" like $19.99 does. Plus, in the US (and quite possibly Canada as well) different counties have different sales tax rates, which would complicate priced stickers and advertisements since items would be a different price in every part of the country.

Hi guys!
Just woke up, I'm looking forward to going to the mall for school shopping and piano lessons. Unfortunately... it stormed last night and I couldn't get a lot of sleep... now I don't feel well... physically and mentally... Yup, having a moodswing today, and I hope it doesn't last long...........

Yeah...I don't have the guts for Roller Coasters either. I tip my hat to those of you who enjoy them...Well, I would if I had a hat. I had pre-wrap on before, but I threw it out.
On the note of pre-wrap, my pre-season has started. This would make everything we've done prior pre-pre-season (does anyone else have this kind of thing?)
Basically, we're going to be practicing for two and a half hours six days a week until school starts. I've gotta start changing around my work schedule. It's so friggin humid here! I was sitting and sweat was dripping off of me. It doesn't help to know we're the only place in NJ that isn't getting rain. Yeah, the whole forecast is for "T-Storms", but I don't see any here!! Maybe practice wouldn't be to hot if we had a little rain coming down. Ugh.
Sorry to get all negative, on the bright side I'm home and in the air conditioning.
Astral, how you dealing with the jet-lag?

Aloha!
So, after a few weeks of being back, I finally updated Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week, basically because I forgot to before.
I also can't wait for next Friday-first paycheck for my new job.
