Just went to one of the richest people's house who ever lived, Cornelius Vanderbilt. I went for a stroll in his garden today, than I saw two people get engaged. (round of applause) I didn't like it much at first, but it was a rather fun place to visit.

So, this person was so rich that he made his house alive, and named it Cornelius Vanderbilt? Wow, that's impressive.

Aloha. So, what are people's views on me perhaps restarting Survivor: Pebble Version? If people are interested, I'd be happy to officiate it.

Also, I've been getting really in to crossword puzzles recently....specifically, those of the New York Times. They're quite fun and engaging.

Hi! I'd totally be up a survivor revival. As for crosswords... They can be fun, but I lack the knowledge of pop-culture trivia required to do a lot of newspaper ones.

Last night a friend reminded me about a movie night at school, which I'd heard something about but forgotten. Since I was just going to sit at home and watch a movie while working on my laptop, I decided to go. We watched all three of the old TMNT movies, which I'd never actually seen before. The movies themselves were pretty dumb, but it was fun hanging out. And we kept up a good run of Mystery Science Theater style commentary throughout.

You know my take on you restarting S:PV again, you jerk.

So. Two A's, two B's. I almost got the scholarship (which they revealed was $1000 -.- ). No matter, VT'll be fun, and I'm glad to have my summer back... Or what's left of it. And I think the thing I'll like the most is being able to sleep again...

Also, dumb movies are the best.

Hi. I just had a great time at laser tag with one of my friends who's visiting. I actually thought I did pretty good for my first time. Today was his last day here, so the next time I get to see him is when I go to Disney World for my spring trip.

And so begins my last week of summer. I really need to get back to reading Dracula. I've only gotten to the 11th chapter and I've still got more than half the book left to go.

Hey.

I have several weeks left of summer. My summer is about half over ( :( half...).

Was reading up on different mythologies to try and find some ideas for the SKS. It... made my brain hurt. Different websites were disagreeing. A bunch in the Celtic mythology were disagreeing. For example, I found a website that said that Rhiannon was the goddes of the forest. Another said she was the goddess of the moon and fertility. Another said she was the goddess of horses. Another said she was the goddess of misfortune. ... >.<

Well, at our softball game today we played the other Andover team in our age group. They're also supposedly in the A leauge but... we crushed them. Yeah.

Hihi!

And I did attempt to help in reviving survivor, but it didn't work so well...

Anyway Kaida has Crepe's. Kaida loves Crepe's! Crepe's with hazelnut spread, unhealthy but yummy.

Kaida also has a current obsession with medieval times...
Redback, Funnel-Web, Blue-ringed octopus
Taipan, Tigersnake and a Box jellyfish
Stonefish and the poison thing that lives in a shell
That spikes you when you pick it up

The thing is, gods have multiple titles, Saber Knight. And because the stories were passed down many times before being written, there will be many variations of each story. Mythology is not as straight forward as people think.

Yeah, I'm finding that out right about now...

Somehow ended up in a deep conversation with my friend. I ended up accidentally insulting him and basically calling him a liar, which was not my intention in the slightest, and now I feel really bad about it. I told him I was being an insensitive jerk, then proceeded to insult myself a bit (I was being totally stubborn and rude, and was saying things without thinking very much about it), but then he proceeded to tell me I was "far too hard" on myself, which is totally true. It just... wasn't fun. I still feel like a jerk (he told me I nearly brought him to tears!), and I feel like he thinks I'm an arrogant fool. *sigh*

Hi! Actually, I always thought Riannon was a combination wind and love goddess. Though my knowledge of Celtic mythology is rather fuzzy outside of King Arthur and Beowulf (Greek, Norse, and Jewish are the ones I really know quite a lot about (and, if you want to call it mythology like some do, I'm extremely knowledgable about the Bible)). But Poik is right. Many gods had multiple specialties and some got mixed up in all the telling and retelling of the stories. Then, of course, you've got random people on the internet who just have no clue what they're talking about but keep talking about it anyway.

My goal for the day is to finish my thesis draft (which isn't so much of a draft as the entire thing minus the occasional correction and edit). Only a bit of statisical comparison and interpretation left to go! If I'm really lucky, I may even finish early enough to play some video games tonight.

Hey.

First day of VBS was today. Fun stuff. The theme this year is SonRock Kids Camp. The theme song is kinda weird.

"Jesus, you're my superhero
You're my star, my best friend
*repeat those 2 lines*
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Better than Spiderman
*more yeahs*
Better than Superman
*more yeahs*
Better than Batman"

Now, those three are understandable, because the song is all "Jesus, you're my superhero". But, then it goes all

"Better than Yu Gi Oh
*more yeahs*
Better than Barbie (the dance motion for that is a hair flip)
*more yeahs*
Better than Action Man"

All kinda weird, but okay.
