Sorry, haven't been on lately. Doing some stuff with the church recently, it's pretty awesome too. :)

Heso! Back from Otakon, hanging out in Stevenson land for a few days. Colly came with me this year~ It was awesome. We saw a lot of cosplayers, of course (there was a Jango cosplayer! But I couldn't get his picture...), and I got a decent amount of One Piece merchandise... A Chopperman plushie, a Strawhat flag wallscroll, a Sogeking (and Saiyaman!) figure... but I'm oddly most entertained by the Kody (from Animal Crossing) keychain. Yeah... it's sad.
Anyway. Otakon was fun times. One Piece movie 8 in HD is fun times.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Well I just got back from Whistler - awesome scenery but nothin' to do, so my family and I were playing card games the whole time. Now for another quiet-ish week.

Hi! I'm going to finish chapter 4 of my thesis today, enter some photos in a contest, and make butter pop-overs. Though those last two might end up getting put off if the thesis chapter takes longer than I think it will. Nothing particularily interesting going on at the moment.

Just watched a movie called "SuperSize Me" and now I officially hate McDonalds, lol.

Awesome movie, I have not been to a McDonald's since seeing it. Does anyone know if that guy's done any other documentaries?White_Samurai wrote:Just watched a movie called "SuperSize Me" and now I officially hate McDonalds, lol.

Sounds like fun, Silver. Awesome merchandise, especially the wall scroll.
... Does anyone else here think Jango was a lot like Michael Jackson? Not because it's topical, just something I noticed when I started reading the series.
If you want to watch a good documentary, rent Religulous (or get it on IO). The things some people say are just unbelieveable. I enjoyed it, at least.

You know, I've never been to a convention. Someday I'm going to have to try and go.
Oi. I've always hated McD's. I might have mentioned it before. The food tastes like greasy cardboard to me, and I get sick for the rest of the day. All McD's is good for is a stomach ache (or if you need a couple thousand calories for some crazy activity) in my opinion. Then again, with how thin I am, it might not be a bad idea...
But Supersize me is stupid in my opinion. If you don't know that eating fast food every day is bad for you, then you need your head shrunk, because something is wrong with you. Just saying.

There is going to be a convention just down the street from me in early November. I would of went last year but my car broke down around the same time and I didn't have the money or the will to go to it. But this year should be diffrent :) I hope.
And wow. FF VI is a great game so far. Soo much fun. Kef is living up to his rep too :)

I've only been to one convention and I was only allowed to stay for about an hour (only way I could come was with the family and they could not care less about anime/video games) so that kinda sucked. I'm definitely hoping to get to one some other time, when I can actually stay and check stuff out.

Hi! I ended up spending all day yesterday on that thesis chapter thanks to a combination of problems with Excel (well, more like me not knowing how to get Excel to do what I wanted it to) and the amount of time it took to sort through and catagorize over 400 games that people who took my survey said had good stories.
I did get it done, though I was kinda rushed towards the end so I may have to go back and add another page or two later, depending on what my thesis advisor thinks. Then there was a massive thunderstorm right around the time the finished (and I mean massive). It was so loud that I had a really hard time getting to sleep so I slept late and now I'm rushing to get a whole bunch of stuff done before class. Oh, and some guy from school e-mailed me about an offer I'd made to help out with something tonight. Except I'd made the offer early last week and he didn't respond to me until the middle of yesterday so I didn't even see his response until this morning. He also said that the entire subject of what I'd offered to help with in the first place was changed.
I may end up just skipping the entire thing. They've got other volunteers and it's not like I don't have things I need to work on.

If you're really bored, try Team Fortress 2. It costs twenty bucks, runs on any decent PC and is basically a massive time sink with cartoony graphics.White_Samurai wrote:I've been REALLY bored lately, anybody wanna battle me over the Poke wifi?

I wholeheartedly agree with Doodleshark. I've gotten 36 hours of play in the last 2 weeks and I'm a leader in our church's VBS. Just try and tell me that isn't addictive. :PDoodleshark wrote:If you're really bored, try Team Fortress 2.
