Hi! In CO taking driver's ed just lets you get your permit six months early. All you need to get the liscense is to pass the written and driving tests and submit a 50 hours driving log proving that you actually did something with your permit.

My thoughts on Ouija boards are that people either move them subconsciously or there's some wise guy in the group screwing with everyone. Either that or there's some people playing the Reaper's Game nearby who need to mess with them in order to mess with you they can get you to fulfill some arbitrary goal so they can clear the day and avoid erasure (points to anyone who gets the reference).

On another topic, I'm flying back to AZ tomorrow so I may not be on much.

Say what you want, I myself am really sceptical, but it was really freaking me out. It definitely moved. Whether it was our involuntary subconscious or spirits I cannot say, but it moved of it's own accord.
O_O you're a braver soul than I. If I was in a group of people and they said "Hey lets play Ouija~" I would make my way to the nearest exit and wait for the game to end. Who knows what could be unleashed with one of those things.

Yes, I do believe somewhat in spirits and stuff (but my beliefs are more based on electromagnetic imprints of emotion left behind than the souls of people being trapped. (although that's kinda the same thing.. idk))

It is for this reason that I will never set up a sound recording device in my house to record what goes on when I'm not at home. Too freaked out by what I could possibly hear. My house is haunted >.< (Sorry if you don't believe in that stuff. I know what I can feel.)

Also, you don't need to take driving lessons Silver? WOW!

In Australia (or is it just Queensland? idk) we have a log book when we get our learner's permit (that requires a written test to get.) It means we have to get 100 hours worth of driving experience (and a certain % of that has to be night time driving).

A 1 hr lesson from a professional driving school is worth (I think) about 3 hours of that time for the first few (forget the number XD). Only after you complete that 100 hours can you go for a test to get your Provisional licence.

It has the same rules as a learner driver (e.g blood alcohol must be ZERO as opposed to 0.05 on you full licence, must display plates on the car with the letter) as well as a limit of the power of the car you can drive. After 3 years of holding that licence you'll be issued with a full licence.

Those laws may be strict, but they're there to save lives.

... In my log book I have a total of 0 hours because this stuff's new and I did some lessons and stuff, then had to renew my licence and by the time I came under the power of the new driving laws the only manual car at home broke and we had to get rid of it.

I don't think I'll even bother getting my licence anymore. I really only use the one I have now as ID anyway.

WOW THATW AS A LONG POST! So post summary fo all those tl;dr people:
Ouija boards = bad.
Driving rules where I live = much stricter than where Silver lives.

Heso! Here's a more detailed run-down of how it works... You start by taking a class, usually provided by local high schools, about driving laws, at the end of which you have to past a written test with a score of 80 or more. If you're 16, you take that to a Motor Vehicle Place, they give you a vision test, and you can enroll in "Defensive Driving" classes - that's six hours of professional driving lessons with a government-employed teacher and everything. If you take those, you can take your driving test pretty shortly afterwards, and by the time you're 17 have your provisinal liscence. Or you could wait until you're 17, march into the DMV, take your vision test and get your permit. With the permit, you're allowed to drive... if you have a liscenced driver over the age of 21 in the car with you, instructing you on proper car-handling proceedures. You get six months to practice like that, then you go and take the road test, and if you pass you get the provisional liscence.

With the provisional liscence, which is what I've got now, is a regular liscence with a few limitations: You can't drive betewwn 12 AM and 5 AM, and your passengers are limited to people from your own household plus one additional person.

So. Today I got to drive on my own for the first time. In the family's huge, blue conversion van. I was asked to drop my sister off at a friend's house, and while I was out... since it was in the area... I went to visit Colly. My first time driving on my own, totally worth it.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! Just checking the forums one more time tonight, since I don't know when I'll have time tomorrow. Air plane flight (complete with moderate lay-over), possibly anime club (or grocery shopping if there's no club meeting), and then unpacking. Got an 8:30 class on Monday so I want to get as much done as I can. Though, fortunately, that's the only class I have on Monday. I just wish it was an hour or two later in the day...

Hey.

Eh, I don't really think about the Ouija board much. It's just a fun game to me. Apparently, though, my grandmother hated them and said they were from the devil. My bad....I still wanna get one, though. :P

Met up with a bunch of people from my hockey team for a meeting to prepare for the cancer walk we're doing. Once we finished all the buisness-related stuff, we went on a bike ride. We got back to her house and went inside, but it started to rain, so we went back out to put the bikes back in the garage.

Well, we just kinda ended up staying out there. :P

Dancing in the rain...it was very fun! It's been waaaay too long since I've done that. Just getting soaking wet, spinning around until you fall down, and looking into the sky as the rian sreaks down your face...I love it.

Well...I has to go to bed soon...but I isn't tired. Darn. Wish I had my own room so I could bring in my laptop, but I has to share it with my 7 year old sister >.<

Well I don't know about in BC, but back in Ontario the driver training is totally optional and if you do take it your insurance is cheaper. However, I absolutely can't stand driving so I doubt I'll need it. The reason behind this? My first time driving, my mom drove me out into the countryside and let me take over. I have to admit, it was pretty nice. Then I turned and got stuck at a T intersection with my nice quiet country road and Highway 9! I start freaking out, there's a car behind me so I can't let my mom take over, I drive on it for a while and it felt like forever until the first road I could turn onto. Overall, terrifying.
So it turns out the person I was hoping would buy my laptop admitted that she's planning on getting a Mac instead (user friendliness for the win), so my next best bet would be my dad, who *might* consider buying it from me in a year or two. Sigh.
Not sure if I've mentioned this already, but I sent in my laptop to Dell the other day. This means that the only computer in the house is my moms, which she uses for work. She's a court reporter, always typing up transcripts from court and stuff. This means the only time I get on the computer now is when she's not home, or she's taking a break. Also, no compy games. Big sigh.
Josiah, I downloaded Flower and I love it! I've already gotten a couple of the trophies and beat the game, it really doesn't take long eh? I might have to bring my ps3 with me to university next year, Flower seems like something that'd mellow me out after a test!
Wow this post is probably the biggest one I've ever posted here. I'll finish off by saying I feel like a terrible pest. I've gone into the GameStop I've applied to four times in the last week and every time I've bumped into the manager and chatted a bit, always mentioning something like "So have you started the hiring process?" to let her know I'm interested and all that. On the up-side (I really hate feeling like a pest and was very hesitant to keep coming in), she's remembered my name every time! I hope that's a good sign.

I wish that was like that here. That sounds AWESOME. I would take the defensive driving course for sure. And the written test is through the school!? Wow.. we have to pay the government every time we take that. And pay for the licence. And pay to take the prac test. And I think you have to pay for that licence too...

Eh, we'll get them at the Olympics. Wait... at the Olympics they'll have Ovechkin! But we'll have Crosby... heh heh heh... *Nobody else cares about hockey.*

And Gar, I just remembered that Nashville has a hockey team. Check its.

Lastly, here's a petition to bring the Phoenix Coyotes to Southern Ontario (NEED MOAR HOKY IN KANEDA!!!) Now if only they could also bring the Quebec Nordiques back from Colorado...

Hey!

*cares about hockey*

Ovechkin was my nickname in marching band. Bob (guy in charge of the visual marching band) gave lots of people nick names. Somehow, me playing hockey came up, so he started calling me Ovechkin. Didn't stick as much as some of the other nicknames (my friend was "Itchy" after itching his mosquito bite at band camp when we sere supposed to be at attention. EVERYONE called him that. There's also "Manny", "Coach", "Junior"...whole slew of 'em).

That's all they're making the Penguins/Capitals series to be. Ovechkin vs. Crosby. Well, it does make sense since in one game they BOTH got hat tricks....

Wutevah.

Well, we're making 'nummy cookies. I think they're coming out of the oven soon. :D

Hi! I made it back to AZ and my apartment is just how I left it. *Looks around...* Which is to say, I should probably vacuum soon. Didn't have time during finals... I also need to buy food, which is a bit more important, so I'll be heading out in a few minutes to take care of that.

School starts tomorrow, but I only have one class (Japanese) and it's an early one (a little too early in my opinion but nothing I can do about that), so I'll have most of the day free. I was thinking I'd spend it reading the new Pendragon book, but then I realized that it doesn't come out till Tuesday (which is, unfortunately, one of my busier school days). Oh well, it's just the first week of school so I should have a good bit of free time to read on Wednesday... *Checks Pendragon site.* Hey, the author is going to be doing a cross country tour. And he's going to have a couple of stops in Phoenix! While I'm at E3... Darn... -.-
