Gah, accursed math, even when I'm doing well it's agitating.

Aha. Great Destination Imagination skit today. One of the movie genres we had to use was romance, which always turns out amusing for our group. There was just a long silence where me and my friend were both waiting for each other to do something, so I just exclaimed, "I LOVE YOU!" and he was all "I LOVE YOU TOO!" and we hugged, but it was all funny 'cos it kinda looked like we were wrestling, or so we were told.

I think we were the better couple in that skit. Cam and Eric (played by two other people) cannot match our awesomeness (a cookie to anyone who knows what series those characters are from).

Hi! It stopped raining for a while so the concert turned out ok after all. Today, well, today I'm probably not going to be doing much of anything besides school work (and maybe a bit of cooking, cause I need to use up some stuff).

It's been raining down here off and on since Thursday. This morning at 7 AM though, it started raining REALLY hard, and the wind started gusting so much it tore leaves off trees and plastered them against our windows. It's quite hard sleeping when you can almost feel the building moving.
I was rather worried about getting to classes, but luckily it let up and turned somewhat sunny a few minutes before I left my room. Wind didn't die down at all, though, so I'm sitting here at the other end of campus in my chem lecture hall, very tired, legs are dead, and barely sweating at all 'cause the wind didn't let my body temperature go up enough. Or something.

Wow, strong winds... I know there are cyclones up north somewhere but we havn't got many symptoms from them. (I say the plural sense and I have no idea whethere there's one, more or if there'e even any there anymore... there was one I knew about... idk)

Also lucky that I'm very far away from Victoria. There are bushfires down there so bad at the moment- worst in history apparently. Worse than ash wednesday. Over 170 confirmed dead already. It's absolutely horrible.

More so with the knowledge that some of the many fires were lit intentionally. Some people have no regard for human life. I think that could almost be worse than the fact that some people have died.

Here's hoping that the conditions stay favourable down there (no strong winds etc) so that the Fireys and the volunteers can get the blaze under control- before any more families needlessly lose their lives.

Sorry for the gloomy post, but that's what's going on in the world at the moment.

Oh LIATE. Tabular method was one of my favorites because it was so easy. Anyway. In Calc III we do practically nothing because she expects us to be busy with other AP classes as we're all seniors. And AP Stats is all busy work.

Cyclones and arson and Calculus, oh my.

Heso! But Sira, if you live anywhere near the Pine Barrens, you've had a run in with fire before... I was evacuated from my house for a particularly bad one a few years back. Now, we don't have too much trouble with them because we've started using prescribed burns, but... the PB do have a natural tendency to combust.

The area where I am is pretty blessed actually. We have fairly mild temperatures (forgetting the humidity) compared to other places, we're pretty much safe from cyclones because there are islands that protect us from a lot of stuff. Not many bush fires cuz I'm in the city (small one granted, but on the coast).

There used to be some backburning done by the fireys behind my old house, but that's about it.

Whenever we get a lot of rain (like today) the corner I live near floods and loons driving through it snuff their cars which is quite entertaining, but that's probably the worst we get.

I don't know about BC, but where I used to live had a nasty tornado a few years before I was born, turned a lot of the forest into something like a swamp. I used to get floods too, the area was really hilly so it looked like we'd get a couple ponds in my backyard

Hi! Phoenix can get some minor flooding at times, but not enough to do any real damage. And, while Colorado has lots of forest fires, none have been all that close to where I live. There were a whole bunch of minor earthquakes why I was in Japan though, so I haven't completely avoided all that nature stuff.

Hey.

We had major flooding almost two years ago. It was insane. Never seen anything like it before.

The Friendly's from a town over got flooded, then had to close. A few months later, it opened again and it was completly fixed up again, and totally remodled.

But that flood really was insane. No school for two days. Water EVERYWHERE. Plenty of places you couldn't drive due to flooded streets. The area around the Friendly's was completly surrounded by water, as were a few other areas. That's the worst I've ever seen.
