Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey, I still have a game cube too. I'm happy we kept it because our wii doesn't accept one of our memory cards.

Wow... it appears I've sparked a whole PC vs. X-Box debate. Which I have three things to say about.
1. There are lots of games that use the full keyboard of the computer *Glances sideways at Crysis, World of Warcraft, and just about any RTS.*
2. Most major X-Box games come out on PC as well, and sometimes they have extra content and/or improvements. *Glances at Gears of War and Mass Effect.*
3. Halo is a good game, probably even a great game, but I don't play much because a) There are several other better Multiplayer options on the PC, and b) The flood.

Hi! Some types of games (RTS, highly detailed sim stuff, and many MMOs) work best on PCs because of things like controls and screen resolution (although with HD TVs and consoles that allow you to plug in a keyboard, that could change). PCs also tend to have more downloadable stuff, often for free. However, keep in mind that most of said downloadable stuff is either fan made or just bug fixing patches.
I'm not much of an FPS player so I can't say too much about control schemes but a mouse is generally faster and more precise than a controller. However a good developer can tweak the controlls so that they work very well for each system. So in single player, not so much of an issue. Multiplayer though...PC controllers usually have the advantage.
So that's the pros of PC games.
On the other hand, consoles have a much greater variety of games, inlcuding many genres that don't exist on PCs. On that note, many genres of games simply don't work well on a PC because of controls and the like. Consoles are also much cheaper than a good gaming PC. Plus, consoles get a huge boost in the whole ease of use thing. You never need to open one up to an upgrade it to play a game. Get a game for whatever console and it will play on that console with very little to no installation time and without the need to download a dozen driver updates just to get it running. Plus, console games typically ship with far fewer bugs than PC games (many of which ship in very buggy states since the developers know they can just release a patch later). Finally, while PCs still have the advantage when it comes to online play, consoles are much better for local multiplayer (you can play four person or more multiplayer games in your living room with any modern console, with PCs you typically need one whole PC per player).
In the end though, it still all boils down to the games. Get whatever has the most games you like, period. If a game comes out on a console the PC, check the differences between them (downloadable content, control schemes, etc) and get the version you like best. For me, that's generally the console version (with a few exceptions), but it's a matter of personal preference.

I have a Wii simply because I can't afford the other ones, and I find that the Wii has more decent games that are not rated M. (because, y'know, not all of us can play those games) I don't get the lack of DLC on the Wii though. it has Wi-Fi, it has blocks to be downloaded onto, but all of the game developers say that they can't do it. Rock Band has even gone far enough to release a disc with 20 tracks.
Metroid Prime is enough of a FPS for me. And if I want to play Wi-Fi, I'm happy with Brawl, Kart, and Guitar Hero. I also don't see the need for the best graphics, they are nice, but they shouldn't be necessary. The realism... isn't really realistic.

Also, I second that motion. *angry mob for music forum*

I posted my thoughts about this in the form of a signature. Because I think it's more ironic that way.
Heso! I'm with Cheesey on the console subject. I've got a Wii, the Wii's got One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. Why would I want either of the others?

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Now that I have a job, it's not that I couldn't afford a PS3 or an Xbox 360, it's more that I prefer the Wii, especially since most of the good games have the option of using Gamecube controllers. That and I never was a stickler for graphics. If a game needs graphics to make it good, it isn't. A game is about fun, not graphics, and that's in my opinion Nintendo's best quality. I agree, it needs DLC. That would make SSBB more than perfect.
But I'm mostly a Nintendo person because the only Sony and Microsoft products I've gotten have broken fairly quickly from less than normal use (less because I didn't own the system long enough to get a decent game for it), whereas I've had little to no problem with Nintendo. Maybe it's just my luck, but still, if I'm going to spend a lot of money on something, I expect it to work.

I'm just a fan of Nintendo. As Cheez said, not everyone can play rated M games. My favorite game series is The Legend of Zelda, followed by Fire Emblem. I'm also not big on First Person Shooters.
VBS day 3 was fun. The craft today was making pillows which took FOREVER! We had crafts at the beginning of the day, and all the kids got to do was cut everything out by the time we had to finish. So, for the rest of the day me and my fellow crew leader were tying them together. Not fun. Plus, there was this kid in another crew who was chasing his crew leader around asking her to make his when she didn't know how. I helped out there and gave it to my co-crew leader cuz she's better at it then me. :P
Also, I decided to buy the CD with all of this year's VBS songs. Because I can. I have last year's, and one from a few years back (the Son Games. It was all Olympic-like)

Well, actually, the Wii does have M rated games, and also, the Wii does have its fame, also, seeing how the Wii doesn't hold much stock in SE, most SE games are on the DS if it's made from Nintendo.
Sony's PS3 is finally making great games to play on it, MGS4, Force Unleashed, which I know is on all 3 consoles, FFXIII, KH 3, Resistance 2, Call of Duty World at War ( Again on the 3, plus computer, like they will be for now), Soon Star Wars Battlefront 3.
And PC, Star Wars Galaxies is looking good except for the BH, Hoth soon. Kotor Online, which people say will be like SWG PRE-NGE. Call of Duty World at War, which finally has co-op. Should I go on?
