Yeah, that's Nostradamus. But they say he used a pretty cheap trick - the cycle of history. Apparently he based his prophecies on stuff that's already happened, with the opinion that history's going to repeat itself and a similar event will happen in the future. His "9/11" prophecy, the one with "fire of the earth" or whatever the line was that everyone took to be gasoline, was actually about a pretty well known volcano that went off 200-ish years before his time.
Personally, I don't want to die in 2012 either (that'd suck to die in my last year of university), but just from the fact that the mayan calendar is so precise, and the fact that nobody really understands why it just ends in 2012 is why I'm a fan of it.

I think pretty much every sci-fi show has done the whole 'end of the world' thing lol.

I didn't go through all the little links and whatnot, but little quotes like this:

I think it could mean several different things. One could be that the Jupiter be one of the biggest black budget projects of all time.
Or it is what will happen during a dimensional shift. I have been told that Jupiter is a Blue star in 4d, maybe our Sun takes on a different visual form for us in 4D and appears to "turn Off". while Jupiter would look like it has been "ignited" because of it being a 4th dimensional Sun"

Putting this into context: They are counting the shapes in crop circles and findind miraculous numbers. AND IT'S A CONSPIRACY!

Hey, I've discovered something too:

If you add the numbers together you get 10.

Divide that by 5 (the number of years we are supposedly off with our calendars) and you get 2.

There were 2 towers destroyed in the world trade centre attack…
