It has been long known that there exists an unseen bond between trainer and pokemon. In cases where the bond is stronger, the pokemon and trainer are able to function better together, and thus the pokemon can become very stronger. In cases where the bond is weak, the trainer and pokemon cannot work together well, and the pokemon will never achieve its full potential. In cases where the bond is exceptionally strong, it is said that the trainer will have glimpses into the thoughts of their pokemon, allowing them to become a flawless team.

Now, for a long time, the humans of the pokemon wolrd have been fascinated by the elusive Legendary Pokemon. It's said that their powers far exceed those of even the most highly trained pokemon. Therefore, the many pokemon specialsts theorize, a bond between a Legendary and a trainer would be far stronger than any other. Stories tell of trainers destined from birth to partner with a legendary. They tell of the tremendous bond between the pokemon and trainer, and how the two can easily see into each other's thoughts as well as feel each other's emotions. Some even go so far as to say that the trainers will gain powers of their own. All of the stories agree on one thing, however: The destinies of these trainers are forever entwined with the fate of the entire pokemon world.

When all of the Legendaries get along, the world knows peace. When their are disputes, the entire pokemon world is shook to the core. These trainers destined by fate must guide their partners to the path of peace... or else the entire pokemon world will be engulfed in strife.

Lately, it seems if the whole world is on the edge. Even the common, ordinary people can feel the anticipation in the air, as if something terrible is an inch away from occuring. For now, the balance between the Legendaries has been kept...

...for now.

Alright, so let's get this party started! I'm gonna be real busy with band camp for the next few days, but I wanted to get this up here to see if anyone wanted to get their profile up, or something. I need to get to bed, so I'll do my character(s? maybe? I seem to have an obsession with multiple chars) later. Unless someone really, really wants to be Groudon, Rayquaza or Mew (in which case, just go ahead and take one of them), I'd like to save those because I have char ideas for all (this idea was originally for a fanfic, don't'cha know?), but I probs won't use them all because I need to curb my multiple char obsession...

Anywho, template!

Also, you can make it so your char is just learning about the bond (theoretically, they probably knew something weird was up for all their life, and had glimpses into their Legendary's thoughts during dreams and stuff, but the Legendary hadn't found them yet, or something like that) at the beginning of the RP, or that they've already known and have been chillin' with their Legendary for quite some time. Up to you, y'know!

AND ANOTHER NOTE the Legendaries have meetings, they're pretty organized (well, moreso their human partners are), and that's where all our chars are going to meet because I've realized my mistakes when I make all the characters spread out... it makes it hard for things to move along.

Name: Rosanna Misuzu
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Region: Kanto, Cinnabar Island
Legendary: Victini
Appearance: Rosanna stands at 5'9'' tall with a curvy figure. She has straight waist-length black hair with a side-fringe and blue eyes. Her usual attire consist of loose dark brown pants, a long pink corset styled shirt with bell sleeves, blue ribbons and a blue sash around her waist. She also has a Celtic styled necklace and matching earrings.
Personality: Rosanna is cheerful and optimistic. She always looks for the best in any situation although her optimism does sometimes irritate her friends. She loves traveling with her friends and Pokemon and trying the many different cuisines (In other words, she loves food and cooking) although her favorites are pastry's and sweets. Although she lacks confidence in herself and her abilities she always does her best at everything she does.
Background: Rosanna grew up on Cinnabar Island, living on a volcanic island she had a great fondness for fire types, he family always spoke of how she would grow up to be a great fire-type trainer. She went along with it and didn't know how to tell them about her love of sweets and pastry's. She'd always had dream's of flying through strange city's and town going to varies pâtisserie's and teahouses. When she was 5 her grandparents gave her a Shiney Charmander as a birthday gift, which she called Charm for short. Once she was 6 she began to go on business trips with her mother to various parts of the world on which she made many friends, both human and Pokemon, some of whom returned with home with her (being a Skitty[Sanra], and Choroneko[Choro]).
When Rosanna was 7 she went on a trip with her parents to Castelia City in the Isshu Region, one afternoon on a trip to the harbour with her father she got separated and ended up getting lost. She wondered along the harbour looking for her father and eventually ended up at the end of the last pier. She sat on a bench looking out at the water, being tired she fell asleep. Later when it began getting dark she was woken up by something prodding her. She opened her eyes and stared into the blue eyes of a strange Pokemon. Rubbing her eyes she sat up and looked at it. It was a cream coloured Pokemon with large pointed ears. She felt something stir inside her. After talking to the Pokemon for awhile who she discovered its name to be Victini. Shortly after meeting Victini led her down the peer and along the wharf, after awhile she saw her mother and father talking to some police officers. Calling out she ran and him in return running to her. After reuniting with her parents she went to introduce them to Victini but when she looked back Victini was nowhere to be seen. Everyday for the remainder of her time in Isshu she always looked for Victini where ever she went but was unable to find it again to thank it. A friend of her parents told her of it that it was a legendary, and for the whole time she was in Isshu she had a odd feeling.
She began traveling as a trainer when she was 18 and eventually returned to Isshu, as she got closer the feeling she'd had since she was a child got stronger and she decided on finding Victini, no matter how hard people told her it would be.

((Just wondering, Saber, but are we allowed to keep regular Pokemon other than the legendaries for our characters?))

((Edit: I realized that there was a major imbalance between males and females (7:1 ratio), so I've decided to change my character. The Legendary and region are still the same, however.
...And somehow, this ended up longer than the original profile.))

Name: Raine Leon
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Region: Johto
Legendary: Celebi
Appearance: The brunette stands around 5'8" and has amber eyes. Her hair, shoulder-length when let down, is often tied up inside her dark red bandana. Her favorite outfit consists of a red shirt, sea green cargo shorts that stop just below the knees, and a half-jacket. The half-jacket is predominantly white with red cuffs and a long, dark red ribbon sewn to the collar; Raine usually ties this ribbon up into a bow at her neck. Her footgear is a pair of black boots with dark red shoe laces. Occasionally, she'd also put on a pair of fingerless, forest green gloves. Her Pokegear, which is an older model, is strapped around her wrist like a watch.
To make carrying items easier, Raine also has black sling bag. Three clips for holding Pokeballs have to hooked onto the strap, making it easier for Raine to send out the Pokemon that she needs. A compartment on the outside of the bag makes her Pokeballs more accessible.
Personality: As a person, Raine generally can be blunt with her views and is willing to express her own opinions. However, she rarely means ill-intent and therefore, should anyone become offended, ends up apologizing for her own behavior. Over the years, this particular trait of hers has caused her to become slightly more reclusive; she began to prefer to keep to herself and her own Pokemon, though she is not above conversing with others.
An eager and adventurous Trainer, Raine is more than up for challenges of any sort, believing that she can only learn from experience. As a result, she sometimes unknowingly pushes her Pokemon too hard; while this has caused disagreements with her Pokemon in the past, Raine and her Pokemon always eventually reconciled. As she matured, both physically and mentally, her Pokemon also grew in experience and became accustomed to her expectations. Her Pokemon share her love of battles and often spend their free time working with her to better improve the team as a whole.
Background: Formerly from the isolated Cianwood City, Raine was the sole daughter of two pharmacists. Because of her parents, she grew up learning about various herbs, but was most interested in the ones often used for Pokemon. However, her restless spirit made her long to leave her sandy hometown and see mainland Johto, especially after several recurring dreams of a dark forest and a voice that seemed to call her there. When she reached her eighth birthday, Raine was given a male Nidoran, named "Straton", as a pet. While the two were still too young, even by the League standards, to travel on their own, they battled the local young Trainers and wild Pokemon. More often than not, they would lose miserably. Their losing streak was only broken when another Trainer, several years older than her, finally took her under his wing and taught her how to fit into the life of a battler. With his help, Raine and Straton slowly began to learn and improve. Even after the Trainer left the island and resumed his journey, the two continued to train and compete in local battles, showing significant development in their strength and tactics.
By the time Raine was old enough to register as an official Trainer, Straton had evolved into a Nidorino. After obtaining her Trainer's license, Raine set off to Olivine City to take the ship to Kanto, where she began to challenge various Gyms. Along the way, she captured a Murkrow, dubbed "Erebos". With so few Pokemon to take care of, Raine had to train both Pokemon vigorously in order to overcome her disadvantage of having only two Pokemon on hand. The life of a Trainer was exhausting to the young girl; shortly after defeating Sabrina, she and her Pokemon made an unanimous decision to take a break from battling and take a train ride back to Johto for a vacation. During this vacation, she won a Dratini from Goldenrod City's Game Corner, but after finding that the Dragon-type was a tad bit too difficult for a relatively new Trainer to care for, later traded the Dratini away for an Eevee, which she named "Nerina".
As the years passed and each of her Pokemon evolved, one by one, the thrill of battling Gym Leaders seemed to wane a bit; after all, plenty of other Trainers were just as accomplished as, if not more than, she was. By the age of fifteen, Raine had already grown jaded with the path she chose and ended up simply wandering between Kanto and Johto, hoping to discover something new and unusual. It was during this time did she take a particular interest in the Legendary Pokemon; before, the teen had dismissed them as little more than myths for the simple reason that only a few people were fortunate enough to even catch glimpses of such Pokemon. Despite her earlier skepticism, finding the Legendary Pokemon was a challenge she couldn't resist, and she soon set off to tackle her new mission. On a hunch- or perhaps it was those flashes of that dark forest she has had since childhood- she tried Ilex Forest first. To her amazement, the time-traveler that was rumored to dwell in the middle of the forest was found suspiciously quickly; Raine found Celebi sitting calmly on the shrine, as if she had been expecting the adolescent. Only until that moment did Raine realize the voice she had been hearing in her dreams all her life was Celebi's. Human and Pokemon immediately went to work, building up a friendship that had been destined for them and strengthening their mental connections. Though Raine often left Ilex Forest for both supplies and a change in environment, she ended up spending more time in the forest for the next several years than anywhere else. Her dreams from the moment of the meeting became more vivid and real, and whenever Celebi traveled to a different time, Raine sometimes caught flashes of the Psychic-Grass type's trips. Eventually, their bond grew to the point that Raine can sense when Celebi has returned to present time. In return, Raine sometimes took Celebi along with her to various towns; the small Legendary Pokemon, always so curious, would hide in Raine's sling bag and take peeks at the human world. These excursions were few and far in between, however, for the fear of attracting unwanted attention. The two have managed to avoid any major trouble thus far.
Pokemon Team: Straton (♂ Nidoking), Erebos (♂ Honchkrow), Nerina (♀ Vaporeon)

Same question as Faus. x3 (I'll also edit as needed depending on the answer.)
Also, how are lifespans affected by this? Are legendaries immortal and bond repeatedly with a new human every time their former partner dies? Or do the legendaries live and die with their humans? If legendaries are immortal, does the bond grant the human a longer lifespan or just the mental link? /random questions

Name: Arian Clover (anyone remember him from a much older RP?)
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Region: Unova
Legendary: Lugia
Appearance: Arian has yellow eyes and mid-length hair, dyed black and parted on the left. It is long enough to partially obscure his right eye. He is 5'10", rather tall for his age. He wears black knee-length pants with multiple pockets, a brown belt over it, black fingerless gloves, an orange shirt with white collar and sleeves left open to expose his chest, and long dark brown boots with black straps. He carries a tan bag with string ties and a narrow black strap behind him. He always wears a blue-purple pendant on black cord around his neck, refusing to take it off even when sleeping or showering. The pendant is shaped like a simple bird with outstretched wings.
Personality: Rebellious and proud of it, Arian has a cheerful, cocky attitude. He is dismissive of authority figures and does what he wants, although he never does anything that would harm someone else. He is fond of sarcasm, and despite his appearance and lifestyle, is more book smart than street smart. What he loves of the way he lives is how free it makes him; he doesn't allow himself or any of those associated with him to partake in any activity he decides is amoral. He is generous with both his trust and his help, but should anyone betray that trust, he can become almost obsessively focused on making them regret it.
Background: Living with a wealthy and conservative family in the huge Castelia City had a strange effect on Arian. A shy, quiet boy when young, he grew increasingly self-confident and sarcastic as the years passed. He disliked the restrictions his parents put on him, quickly becoming rebellious: skipping classes, refusing to do homework, and sneaking out at night. Finally, he stopped going to school altogether and took to wandering the streets, to his parents' vast dismay. He spends his days hanging out with the other rogue boys of the city.
Though not a trainer, Arian has two Pokemon: a Litwick and a Blitzle. The Litwick, embarrassingly named Flame, was a pet from his childhood days. The Blitzle, which he had named Blitzkrieg, was a recent gift from one of his new friends. He treats the two as friends, but doesn't let them battle because he has little confidence in his ability as a trainer. His Pokemon don't seem to mind, however.
For as long as he can remember, Arian has had dreams of either flying or swimming at great speeds through the ocean. He never sees himself in those dreams, nor does he meet any other people, and he always wakes from them feeling oddly hungry for something he can't name.
Pokemon: Flame (male Litwik), Blitzkrieg (male Blitzle)
Text color: Dark slate blue

Edit: Adding another character 'cause SK said I could. ;D

Name: Louanne Elanor Diaz
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Region: Johto
Legendary: Giratina
Appearance: Louanne has green eyes and long blond hair, reaching her hips when unbound. One lock on each side of her head is dyed red and combed in front of her ears while the rest is left behind. She stands at 5'11" when not in her shoes. She wears a white turtleneck shirt with sleeves ending halfway down the forearm, along with a short white skirt and light gray calf-high heeled boots. Her shirt is embellished with a blue heart. She carries a small light gray bag over her right hip and wears a soft white cap with a small visor-like brim. She often also wears a pair of light gray gloves, long enough to cover the ends of her shirt sleeves.
Personality: Friendly and outgoing, Louanne gives little indication that she is in actuality quite merciless. When working, she exploits every advantage she has without care for her opponents' health or even lives. About the only other living beings she cares for are her Pokemon, but she's fiercely loyal to her employers. She has great pride in what she does and easily takes offense when ridiculed, which usually results in long-term grudges. She does, however, accept apologies if she feels they are genuinely given, and she will drop the grudge afterward in such a case.
Background: Louanne was born in New Bark Town as a single child. As with most other children in town, she claimed a Pokemon from Professor Elm's lab (an uncommon female Chikorita) and set off on her Pokemon trainer journey on her tenth birthday. She got as far as Goldenrod before her starter was stolen from her overnight as she slept in a Pokemon Center. Desperate to find her, she mistakenly sought help from a black-clad aqua-haired trainer only several years older than she was, who happened to be near the building when she left it the following morning. Reassuring her that his friends would help search for the Chikorita, the young man led her to the bottom floor of a large building, where he left her with a pair of similarly black-clothed girls. They consoled the crying trainer and offered to give her another Pokemon to keep her company. She refused, but asked for the name of the aqua-haired young man. She learned his name was Proton.
Louanne helped Proton and his "friends" with various odd jobs around the city as they continued the search for her starter. They finally told her after a month that whoever had taken the Chikorita must have been very clever, because they couldn't find any trace of her. They apologized profusely and offered again to give her another Pokemon, and this time she accepted the Totodile they presented. Proton then asked if she would like to become friends with them. She responded with a yes, and thus became a willing member of Team Rocket.
Over the course of several years, she traveled with other Rocket members on missions, both throughout Johto and to other regions. Along with her Totodile, she had a Pidgey and Machop from her trainer days, and she soon also caught a Mareep. During one of her brief trips to Hoenn, she captured a Ralts, and in Kanto she discovered a chunk of old amber. She was given permission to turn this in to the Pewter City Museum and received a young Aerodactyl in exchange. Between missions, she went out and battled her Pokemon against wild ones to give them fighting experience, which could be used later in various ways. Now, at 20, she has raised her entire team to their final stages of evolution, and she is considered a third-tier member* of the Team.
Louanne occasionally has moments of confusion which she has never confided to anyone else. Upon passing objects with mirrored surfaces, she would get glimpses of a strange abyss, swirling with unfamiliar lights and objects. These mirages would vanish every time she tried taking a closer look, leading her to wonder if she ever saw them in the first place. She sometimes also has sudden moments of violent fury that leave her feeling drained and unclear of what had just happened, requiring her Pokemon to fill her in. These brief fits of mindless violence happen most frequently in the Sinnoh region, though they can occur anywhere.
Pokemon: Waterblast (male Feraligatr), Flight (male Pidgeot), Muscle (female Machamp), Denryu (female Ampharos), Hali (female Gardevoir), Putera (male Aerodactyl)
Text color: Light slate gray

(* - In some of the other Pokemon RPs I'm in, we've split the criminal teams into five tiers. The first tier is the team leader, the second is the admins/executives. We haven't come up with names for the third and fourth tiers yet, but the fifth is the generic grunt.)

(Edited to add another character and give them last names)

Name: Heero Yuri (very unoriginal)
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Region: Sinnoh
Legendary: Latios (Despite being from Sinnoh)
Appearance: Rather average height, dark blue eyes, around 5'6". He is skinny though muscular on top, has spiky black hair and is often seen wearing jeans and a dark blue sweatshirt, under it a green sleeveless shirt. He has a dragon tattoo on both on his arms and wears a crucifix around his neck at all times.
Personality: He's coldhearted and isn't very respected amongst most commoners, but is also brave and passionate whenever he needs to be. There is a rather sweet and caring side to him, but only when he's near somebody he trusts and loves. He tends to be overconfident sometimes, at other times nervous. He doesn't show his emotions much, either, though he can be very timid.
Background: His parents were very abusive to him while growing up. Because of this, he ran away from home at age 7. Train-hopping with some money he stole from his parents, he eventually arrives in Hoemn three years later and meets Professor Birch. Professor Birch helps him begin his Pokemon journey by giving Heero his starter Pokemon, Treeko. After one year in his Pokemon Journey, Heero and his six Pokemon: Sceptile, Walrein, Salamence, Houndoom, Espion, and Dugtrio, become the champions of the Hoemn League. However, the trainer, Naxt, whom he beat in the finals of the Hoemn league sought revenge against Heero. One night, while Heero was heading over to the Pokemon center, Naxt ambushed him with his Tyranitar! Heero was knocked down, then suddenly the Pokemon from his six Pokeballs popped out to defend him. Naxt had a whole army of his Pokemon of sixteen behind him, and they knocked out and mercilessly slaughtered all of Heero's Pokemon, eventually killing them. Heero couldn't bear seeing the sight of his team being killed. The last one to die was Sceptile, whom was killed with a Crunch from Naxt's Tyranitar. He was then surrounded by Naxt's Pokemon, ready to die. Then suddenly, a dragon Pokemon soared in from the sky and blasted away all of Naxt's Pokemon with an attack! Heero doesn't remember what happened after that, but he never saw Naxt again.

In the five years between now and his Hoemn Hall of Fame Debut, he spent more time living a quiet life in the big house he bought with the money earned from the Championship. Rather than train Pokemon, he'd frequently take military training and go to the gym for unknown reasons. His friends he had from before left him. The Pokemon who saved his life had frequently been in his dreams for the next five years in his life. That nightmare of that time from the past when his team had been killed haunts him to this day. Heero's current Pokemon are Azumarill, Scizor, and Blaziken, but has a poor relationship with all three of them.

(That background story seemed too dark.)

P.S. Awesome roleplay idea, Saber!

Name: Liz Zex
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Region: Kanto
Legendary: Latias
Appearance: She’s about 5’6”, and rather skinny from head to toe. She has medium-length blond hair, has blue eyes, and is often seen wearing a sleeveless cyan shirt, sandals, and jeans. One thing unique about her hair is she keeps two strips of her hair pointing face-up, which some people find weird. She has two bracelets, both red, on both her wrists. Liz also wears a crystal necklace around her neck her grandfather had given her. It has a strange pattern with two dragonic figures on it. Lastly, Liz wears two gloves, one red and one blue.
Personality: She’s a very cheerful and active person. Liz can be a tomboyish type of person, as she likes to go outside a lot, swings on vines, plays in the mud, and other stuff. She likes to and makes friends very easily and anybody can easily get along with her.
Background: Liz is lives like the typical girl in Cerulean City. She’s been attending school and trained Pokemon since she was nine, and always dreamed of becoming a great Pokemon breeder. Every day after school, her friends from school would challenge her to Pokemon battles. Every weekend she would hang out with Misty and her sisters, and they would go to the lake or play with Misty’s water Pokemon. Some local town folks consider Liz to be the happiest person in the region.
However, her life wasn’t all that great. Her paternal grandfather in which she was very close to passed away when she was 13. Liz’s mother died when she was 8 from cancer. Her father was left to care for her, but he was the one who taught Liz how to be happy in her life and to make her mother and grandfather proud.
Since she was thirteen, Liz had been dating a 17-year old boy, Jake, whom was one of the best trainers in the city. Lots of town folk considered Liz and Jake the ideal couple, as they’d be seen kissing by the lake or holding hands on Nugget Bridge. However, just the day before her 15th birthday, Jake broke up with Liz and he left Cerulean City forever. Liz felt dead inside at that moment, and all her happiness seemed to drift away.
Finally, when she turned fifteen the next day, Liz decided to depart on a Pokemon journey of her own. It was not to become a Pokemon Master, though, but to find her place in life, above all, happiness. She waved to all her friends, Misty and her sisters, and her father goodbye, and left Cerulean City. Everybody promised Liz they would miss her and would await her coming back home. Liz only looked forward and smiled as the sun rose on her beginning journey.
Her current team right now is: Blastoise (Mizu), Jolteon (Shocky), Alakazam (Shama), Aerodactyl (Ace), Jigglypuff (Enchantress), and Ninetails (Artemis.) She has a close relationship with all of her Pokemon.

(sorry for unorigionality and bare bones, but being in college and wanting to be part of an RP can do that to you. I can flesh it out if need be though)

Wow, it's been a day and there's already this many responses? Life is good!

Yes, your trainer may certainly have other pokemon. Plus, since you never technically "capture" your Legendary, you can have 6 other pokemon on hand! Isn't that wonderful?

Which makes me realize I totally should have a) made that clear and II) made a thing on the character profile for other pokemon... Eh, y'all can edit that in if you want.

Also, how are lifespans affected by this? Are legendaries immortal and bond repeatedly with a new human every time their former partner dies? Or do the legendaries live and die with their humans? If legendaries are immortal, does the bond grant the human a longer lifespan or just the mental link? /random questions

Bonding with a Legendary extends your lifespan, however a) it probs only extends it to like 130 years-ish, and II) most people bonded to Legendaries are involved in tons of dangerous situations and probably don't last that long... it's happened before, but not often. Legendaries have immortal in the sense that they live forever and won't die of old age, however they can be killed. Legendaries will bond with a new human after the death of their previous partner. Not necessarily right after--there doesn't ALWAYS have to be a partner. Just gotta wait for the right dude to be born. That wasn't really in order, but I think I got all of your questions!

I'll post a character profile later this week (too much going on today), but I just wanted to say that I'm going to join. And, if Saber doesn't terribly mind, I'd like to call dibs on mew.

Go ahead. I figured you had priority if you joined :P

I still don't reallly have the time to make my character(s?), but I promise I'll get on it as soon as I can. Band camp goes until Thursday, and I'm gone 8:30 AM - 9:30 PM tomorrow (and untill 11:00 PM on Wed, not sure when on Thurs), so I really don't have much time on hand until Thurs/Fri, so I'll probs get it/them up then. Still plenty of room for more awesome people!

Name: Yuki Sorano

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Region: Kanto

Legendary: Mewtwo

Appearance: Yuki is 5'7" with a light-brown skin tone, yellow-eyes, and dark brown spiky hair; wears a simple green short-sleeved shirt with a black coat over it, black and red gloves, black jeans, black shoes, and he has a necklace with a crystal pendant shaped as a tear drop. Sometimes he will be wearing his lab coat if only because he forgets to remove it before wandering off somewhere. He never seems to fail at forgetting at least one thing be it some important detail or a trivial ordeal.
There is a minor detail that should be known about Yuki's gloves. They are a pair of equipment that work as a portable PC of sorts for him. He can easily open up a box in Bill's PC and take out a Pokemon to use or go into his own PC and pluck out an item he is in need of. To go even further is the original idea of his gloves: the ability to make catching Pokemon easier.
The idea stems from Team Snagem of the Orre region; Yuki had participated in that particular organization for a few months and inevitably learned about the Snagem Machine. Having always been interested in technology Yuki eagerly learned all he could about the machine and made a version of his own hence his gloves; he just added his own personal touch to the product is all.
Because of this he only ever carries one Pokeball on his belt and that ball is his Growlithe's ball- if only because Surya the Growlithe is always at his side and he can't put a ball in use into his PC for whatever reason (he has been planning to talk to Bill about this for a while now with the keyword being "planning"). Every ball that is in use is therefore clipped to his belt.

Personality: Despite his assisting the professors and therefore seeing some amazing sights of the Pokemon world, Yuki doesn't seem to have much enthusiasm. He has even been told, jokingly of course, that he is heartless by one or two professors. It's just that Yuki isn't very interested in the Pokemon world and its wonders. He can be unbearably aloof and apathetic, but once you gain his respect, he'll be just as loyal as a Gardevoir is to her trainer- though this can be debatable at times. There are times that he can appear to be off in his own little world; watch out if you're hanging off a cliff and only Yuki is around to help you- he will decide you've it all under control and just watch.
There are times, however, where he will show a bit of emotion. The most prominent emotion he reveals is a sadness that seems to deep for someone his age to bear. Other times he will reveal a a bit of a sadistic side; pain makes him laugh, after all.
Growing up as the help of several professors at once has made Yuki fairly obedient, therefore ideal in some cases like working for criminal organizations. He doesn't question orders and never fails at his mission; he's just slow about it. Terribly slow. Unfortunately he runs on Yuki Time which is basically his own pace. "Nothing starts until after I've arrived."
Yuki is a decent enough person though. Decent and very strange. Expect conversations with him to be mostly one-sided, his attention to be diverted by something insignificant like a flower or normal butterfly, and possibly some trouble to brew just because he is a magnet for the unwanted. Also, don't expect to hear anything of his work. He isn't at all a social creature so he tends to stick to the shadows. Keeping this in mind, the only works of his that are ever brought to the surface are the information being flourished under a professor's name.

Background: Yuki was adopted at the age of five by Professor Oak and, after receiving a Pichu which he named Jayvyn, has been helping the elderly man since. As he grew he found a deep interest in technology, not so much interest in the Pokemon world, and a sincere understanding of what Oak and the man's friends do for a living- as such Yuki could often be found looking over research papers or scribbling down information of his own.
He was viewed to have a gift for research, having learned to read and write not long after agreeing to live with Professor Oak, and proved his worth to the many professors. As he grew up, he came to write his own set of research papers that the professors are aware of, though only Oak has actually glimpsed. Often times, because he has no desire to become a professor, he is used to catch or study up on Pokemon that have evaded past trainers the professors once or still rely on.
However. It was eventually decided that he would become a professor himself, a decision made by Oak and the others, and so the boy felt like the always open cage he had been testing his wings in was finally about to be closed forever. To escape this, whether or not it is briefly, he has left the nest several times in a restless manner. He joined Team Rocket at one point and served Giovanni for a good while before Oak called him and asked for assistance. At which point the boy just up and left to provide the assistance.
He was then sent to the Hoenn region where he joined Team Magma for a good week. Despite the short time with Team Magma, Yuki did spend a good amount of time in the Hoenn region. His time was cut short, however, as he was soon sent to the Orre Region to check up on things in Professor Oak's place. Obediently the teen departed, deserting Team Magma without a second thought, and made his way to his next destination.
The time spent in the Orre Region was quite an interesting one for the teen, though it ended too soon as a few months flew by heartlessly. Yuki had stumbled upon, though the more accurate term would be invaded, Team Snagem which he was drawn into joining. With the discovery of this criminal organization came the discovery of the Snagem Machine and ending with the invention of Yuki's Snagem Gloves.
As always, however, the obedient research aide was called back to Kanto to return to Professor Oak's side. As always, the youth dropped all activities in the region he was currently assigned to and ran off to his next destination with regret- free abandon. By the time he returned to Pallet Town, he had accumulated a team he was confident would be more permanent than his last choice.
Of course, returning to Oak's side wasn't the only reason that he abandoned his activities in whatever part of the world he was in. There was another whose existence held as much, if not more of an impact in his life that Yuki was eager to return to. The meeting had been entirely accidental and, as he believed, a blessing in the oddest since. A Pokemon which lived a life similar to his, one without a real past and a detachment to everything around it that is, had found its way into the teen’s life. The bond was immediate, made at a rather young age, and became part of the reason for his having an interest in Team Rocket. As the teen grew, the telepathic connection strengthened to the point of their always being in contact one way or another- be it literal communication or dreams.
The Pokemon, which rarely left Kanto, was Mewtwo, and it was waiting for the teen’s return to its side.

Daaah, I missed out on getting Celebi. Hmm...

Name: Crimson (:P)
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Region: Sinnoh (home region Hoenn)
Legendary: Shaymin (sure, why not? Woulda been Celebi if Faustgy wasn't, and woulda been Jirachi if I didn't have to sleep thousands of years between appearances)
Appearance: Essentially Cheren with brown hair (that's really what I look like). Blue jeans and a deep red shirt.
Personality: Quiet, relaxed, and intelligent
Background: Lived in Mossdeep City until moving to Pastoria City. He met Shaymin on a trip to the Pokémon League, and added her to his team, not realizing her importance or her bond with him until an incident that left Shaymin injured. She recovered, but Crimson has been deeply protective of her since.

So I hate life because I was writing for like 15 minutes and the internet died. Yay. Time to try again.

Of all the times for me to want to play a guy character.... grrr, I'm definitely gonna have to come up with a second character that's a girl. Might as well satisify my multiple-character syndrome and try to help the girl/guy ratio...

Name: Xavier Solzen
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Region: Hoenn
Legendary: Groudon
Appearance: Xavier has always been tall for his age, and he stands about 6' 2". He has a very lanky build, and he has intentionally untidy jet-black hair that is in a constant state of disarray. His eyes are an extremely dark brown so that they almost look black (though they are often concealed by a pair of sports sunglasses), and his skin is very tan. As far as clothing goes, Xavier always keeps up with the latest fashion trends. He wears mostly black and deep red, and his current outfit includes a black shirt with a crimson jacket and scarf. On his hands are these type of gloves that I don't know the proper name for. He wears baggy black cargo pants with fire designs.
Personality: Simply put, Xavier believes himself to be the best trainer in the world. He has little time for anyone else, as he believes everyone to be inferior to him and thus a waste of his time. When he does talk, he says very few words. Xavier distances himself from everyone, and he even tries to keep Groudon at a distance, attempting to view him simply as a tool for getting stronger. He desires power, and he is extremely ambitious. Though he would never admit it to anyone, appearances are extremely important to him, and he is sure to maintain his cool and aloof persona.
Background: Xavier was born in the secluded town of Dewford, and he's hated the place for as long as he can remember. When he turned ten years old, he asked his parents for his first pokemon, and they refused. Furious, he ran away with their pet poochyena and set off to become the best trainer in the world. For the next few years of his life, he traveled the world, training his pokemon in the many different regions. At age fifteen, he returned to Hoenn to challenge the Hoenn pokemon league. He breezed through the Elite Four, but when it came time for him to challenge the Champion, he never showed up to the battle. It was at this time that found Groudon. He viewed being partnered to Groudon as a irrefutable sign that he was destined for greatness, and he also viewed Groudon as a tool to become stronger. Groudon also saw the ambition and power in Xavier, and he was pleased to be partnered with such a strong trainer. Since then, Xavier has refrained from Pokemon Leauge battling, preferring to follow rumors of powerful trainers so that he might track them down and defeat them. He also trains with Groudon to strengthen their bond (though both trainer and pokemon prefer to keep their thoughts to theirselves), and Xavier has learned to perform several superhuman feats in the years since he joined up with Groudon.
Team: Scar (Mightyena), Crush (Nidoking), Sol (Blaziken), Zen (Lucario), Crag (Salamence), Cliff (Aggron) (All pokemon are male, just FYI)
Text color: Edit: Yay, I get my colour now! Dark red

I will probably edit this with a second character later, but for right now it's late and I'm tired. The RP will probably be started late next week, after I've had a few days of school to get into the groove of things.

Edit: And now for character number two! I kind of decided I don't feel like RPing my Rayquaza character because she's too similar to Eskay, so I decided to bring back a long gone character with a little changes here and there...

Name: Lydia Morten
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Region: Johto
Legendary: Ho-oh
Appearance: Lydia is a little shorter than average for her age, standing about 5' 2". She doesn't pay much attention to her attire, and often simply opts for wearing her favorite colours--purple, orange and gold--together. She can often be seen in a pair of purple jeans with a plain orange t-shirt and a simple gold chain around her neck. Her long, semi-curly dark brown hair has streaks of orange and purple, and she usually has a golden hair clip to keep her hair back in a half-ponytail. If she can get away with it, her feet are bare. She always wears a pair of rimless glasses in front of her striking purple eyes.
Personality: Despite her age, Lydia is absolutely brilliant. However, at the same time, she is also sllightly insane and rather eccentric. She has trouble focusing on one thing for a long time, and is easily distracted by seemingly insignificant things. She will often ramble on about the smallest things in enormous detail, and many people find her tiring to be around. Though she is a master of mathematics and sciences, Lydia also is fascinated by mythology, and she loves to study it. She is extremely energetic, and she usually acts as if she's on a permanent sugar rush. She also has a tendancy to think out loud regardless if there are any other people around or not. Even with all of her eccentricities, at heart she is extremely kind and caring.
Background: Lydia was born in Ecruteak City into a mythology-loving family. At a very young age, she would explore the Burned Tower, though she always felt a mysterious pull toward the Bell Tower. When she was 8, Morty, a family friend, gave her a Gastly, whom she dubbed Euclid. The two got along remarkably well. Not long after, her family began to travel the world in order to study various other mythologies. Due to this traveling, she met Litwick (whom she dubbed Carnot) as well as Murkrow (Ravenclaw). When she returned home at age 14, she felt an irresistable pull toward the Bell Tower. With the help of Euclid (who was now a Haunter), she snuck into the tower and climbed to the top. At the precise moment she reached the top, she saw Ho-oh land. After a fit of absolute ecstacy at seeing her favourite Legendary, the bird flew away. Lydia was determined to see it again. Since then, Lydia's parents have left on another world trip (Lydia was able to argue that she could take care of herself. Her parents were, like Lyida, not the most common-sense oriented, so they let her) but Lydia stayed home to try and see Ho-oh again. She has caught several glimpses of him since, but has yet to satisfy her curiosity about the elusive bird.
Team: Haunter (male, Euclid), Litwick (male, Carnot), Murkrow (female, Ravenclaw)
Text color: Orange

(Since there's so many more male characters, I decided to make mine a girl.)

Name: Jessica Halens
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Region: Floaroma Town, Sinnoh
Legendary: Mew
Appearance: She looks like the female heroine from Diamond/Pearl.
Personality: Jessica is tomboyish, adventurous, and rarely bothered by anything no matter annoying/dangerous/embarressing it may be. She's friendly but a bit rough around the edges.
Background: Jessica grew up in Floaroma. But, due to her parents' work, her family often traveled to other regions. On these trips, she was frequently left alone to play with her pet lopunny and shinx. Over time, she met other pokémon and trainers and developed an interest in pokémon battles. She did a little bit of capturing and trading when she could and eventually ended up with a gothita, ditto, and tirtouga. At 15, she left home to go on a training journey (getting a chimchar as her official starter), eventually collecting all the Sinnoh gym badges. However, as she prepared to challenge the Elite 4, she began dreaming of a near forgotten day long ago when she played with a small pink pokémon in Kahnto. Since that time, she'd never seen that type of pokémon again and had all but forgotten it. But now, she couldn't get it out of her mind. Forgetting about the Elite 4, she set off on the long journey to Kahnto where she's been challenging the gyms while searching for that mysterious pokémon.
Team: Loppuny, Ditto, Gothitelle, Luxray, Carracosta (shiny), Infernape
Text color: Pale Pink

Read everybody's profiles and they all seemed interesting! I'm excited.

Btw Saber, is it okay I have Latios and Latias with my characters respectively?

Yup, that's fine Metal!

Okay, so everyone's profile looks epic and it looks like we've got some epic characters and this roleplay is totally gonna be epic and get the RP section back on its feet! [/positive thoughts] I'll possibly get the RP started tomorrow or Monday, depending on how fast I finish my college essay/editing my other essay! Yay!

Also, from a PM about number of moves:

Saber Knight wrote:
I hadn't really thought about it, but I like the latter idea better. Except that Legendaries are freaking Legendaries and can do whatever they want because they're Legendaries. So we'll go with normal pokemanz can only use four attacks per battle, but they keep all moves learned before, but Legendaries can use however many moves they want. I don't really forsee too many formal battle occuring, which is why I hadn't thought about it, but those seem like fairly good rules to me. Or something. :P
