Asami looked down at Yuki.
"Do what?" she asked, her tone soft. She was relieved that Yuki was alright.

As Kusa watched Bael leave, he had a sudden afterthought that brought a grin to his lips. He began running after his rival and when he was even with him, he reached out and touched Bael on the shoulder. But he didn't stop running. Instead, he looked back at the other shinigami. "Tag. You're it, Bae-chan. And you can't catch me.", he called.

Well, it was time. Rune and Rath had reached the door that lead into their Captain's office. Slowly, Rune reached out with his free hand and knocked twice on the door. "Captain, it's the twins.", he called softly.

"Enter.", said a voice from inside.

With a soft sigh, Rune slid open the door and walked inside, gently tugging Rath along with him. "Good evening, Captain Kuchiki. We're here to report."

"Nothing!" she said quickly, "I need to go find Bae-chan, bye!!"

"But Yuki-san, your wounds..."

"It's only a few scratches, I'm ok" she interupted, then dashing at an insane speed in a random direction.

===Later===

Yuki was running around, dodging several people "awwwww, Bae-chan's not anywhere!!" she said, looking around her. Since she was not looking in front of her at the time, she smacked into Kusa, causing her to feel the pain of her wounds again "owww!!"

===meanwhile=== (since we need a reason to return)

Rai was walking home, when he felt a strange but familiar presence "You, from yesterday, stop hiding and come out, whatever you are!"

"As you wish.." the voice replied. It was a figure in a black cloak, because of this, s/he could not be identinfied as anything.

"Why are you following me?" Rai asked

"Why wouldn't I be? Following a Quincy, quite a rare specimen don't you agree?" said the figure "Now, *pulls out hollow bait* to test your limit!!" s/he snapped the hollow bait, and as this happened, the sky seemingly ripped open.

"Menos... Grande..." Rai said in shock, staring at the sky as several menos from gillian to adjucas class came out of the vortex "We're.... doomed..."

(It's the end of the world as we know it!!... eh, I think that's a song.)

(oh, and they can like rest a bit at SS, since we can get SS to send some other random shinigami... then when everyone's ready, we leave for the real world. And Marley, I think you'll be needed.)

Marley suddenly sat up from sleeping "I sense a disturbance in the force......" Marley said using a blatant rip-off of star wars "Its a really big hollow......I should probably go after it.....but i already have my jammies on......and i turned out the light.......and i had my warm milk......and legolas will be there....NO! This is more important than all of that."
*Later*
"Oh MY God.......I didnt know subway made sandwiches that big!" Marley said as he stared bewildered at the humongous sandwich. Then he realized there was a huge hollow attacking. "Oh yeah, better go stop that." Marley ran towards what would surely end with someones eye being poked out

"Then start reporting, Lieutenant.", Byakuya replied, looking at the twins with a stern expression.

"Yes, Sir. Rath and I, as well as many other shinigami, managed to take out plenty of hollows. However, we were then attacked by a quincy. He caused lots of damage and nearly killed us all. Luckily, myself and one other with medical knowledge managed to save everyone.", Rune explained.

Kusa suddenly found himself lying on the ground, having tripped over Yuki. "Oh, I'm really sorry, Yuki-chan... But I can't afford to stop running right now!", he cried, jumping back on his feet and looking behind him. "Oh, crud!" The vice captain sweatdropped as he saw Bael coming after him. He then turned and began running again. "Later, Yuki-chan!", he called without looking back at the girl.

Rath held Rune's hand tightly. "Bubba saved me from being hurt..."

That few seconds was enough for Bael to catch up. He leapt forward, landed in front of Kusa, turning around and grabbing him by the shoulder, lifting him up.

"How many times do I have to tell you. Don't. Touch. Me."

"I see. And what became of the quincy?", Captain Kuchiki inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"He's gone. He left after our final confrontation with the hollows.", Rune replied.

Byakuya then closed his eyes. "You're dismissed."

"Yes, Sir." Rune said, giving a deep bow. Then he and Rath exited the office.

"Eh heh...", Kusa managed a nervous laugh. "Right, Bae-chan... Not!" He then kicked Bael's wrist and struggled out of his grasp, dropping to the ground. A dodge roll later and he was behind the taller shinigami. Kusa quickly got back on his feet, rubbing his now throbbing shoulder. "I give you a light tap, and you nearly disable me. That's overkill, Bae-chan, even for you.", he replied.

Yuki just sat there watching Bael and Kusa playing around "ohh, that's gonna hurt..." she said "*sigh* I'm bored now..."

"Yuki!!" this voice came from Hitsugaya "Where is vice captain Kusa?"

"Over there Hitsu-chan!" she said pointing over at Kusa and Bael

"Thanks, and by the way, I suggest you prepare for battle." he said "Kusa, Bael, urgent news!!" he called loudly to them. "Several Menos have appeared in the living world!"

===Meanwhile===

"Fine, you want to see my limit? Then here I go!!" he said, attacking the figure directly with several swift moving arrows.

The figure dodged them with ease "Hmmm, your attacks are so slow..." she continued, using what seemed like shunpo to travel behind him. "I guess I overestimated you." s/he continued "In any case, have fun with the Menos..." The figure vanished.

"Damn! What do I do now?" he said, firing an arrow, with just bounced off the Menos like nothing.

Kusa jumped as Hitsugaya-sama called to Bael and himself. "Aww, man... And we just got back too.", Kusa said.

"Vice Captain Kusa! This is no time for whining! Now, go do your jobs!", Hitsugaya yelled.

"Eh...", Kusa sweatdropped again. "Yes, Sir." He then drew his Zanpakuto and headed into the world of the living.

Before Bael could follow to do the same, Hitsugaya caught him by the shoulder. "Hey... Keep an eye on Kusa. He might slip up again today...", he said, releasing the shinigami. "Now go."

Bael merely grunted in response to Hitsugaya.

"What exactly is a Menos?" He said, reaching up, and lightly taking Yuki by the collar, picking her up, and setting her down off his shoulder.

"So maybe ill call you?" Marley said to this chick he met at the park
"That would be great baby, ill see you la-" she was cut off by the hollow smashing into a lake
"Damn! I knew i forgot something....Well anyway I'll call you...uh, whats your name again?"
*slap*
"Well ill call you anyway!!!!!!" Marley said as he was running away towards the hollow.
"Wow" Marley said as he stared open jawed at the hollow
"Hey, its Pit!" Marley said, looking at Rai, who as soon as he saw him, fired an arrow at him.
"Give me one good reason why i should help you."

"Bae-chan!!" Yuki said, whining.

"Quiet!!" Hisugaya said in reply "a menos is a higher class hollow, we only send experienced shinigami to deal with them. The ones that appeared were of the lower class menos, the gillian. Don't let the size scare you, they arn't as strong as the other class menos. The other type that appeared are adjucas, they are of a smaller size so, don't underestimate them. Lucky, Vasto Lorde didn't appear, they are, and I hate to admit, a lot stronger than the likes of us captain."

After the long explaination Yuki spoke "Let's go now!!" she said, running after Kusa through the gate.

"I don't need your help, just stay outta this!" he said, firing a few more shots at Marley. Jumping away from Marley he attacked one of the Menos witha barrage of arrows.
