Pokemon United

[Neo Zanther]

I walk up to the ball and pick it up. Then set down my bag as I call out the Dratini. The pokemon is naturally abit skittish around me. "Don't worry. I'm here to help you." After holding out my hand for it to get use to me I finally get it to get near enough to watch and dress the wound. The ointment that I put on made the Dratini wince some but after wrapping it it seemed to feel abit better. "Now time for some rest." I say as I recall the Dratini.

Terri nodded eagerly. "Yeahyeah," she chimed. "I wonder where the little critter got off to... and I wonder if this has anything to do with what we're investigating." Terri frowned after she said this. "Hmm... should we call her, and see if she has any more details?"

Louanne glanced around the camp. "I dunno, but it looks kind of disorganized to me. Check out that over there." She pointed at a skillet, which was lying at an angle on the ground; one side of it was supported by a tripod of sorts that had been set up over a spot of cleared ground. Faintly glowing red embers still peeped out from the remains of the cooking fire. "It looks like whoever was using it just dropped it. And here, I assume this used to be the food they were cooking, but it's mostly taken by-" She stopped before saying "wild Pokemon," because supposedly there were none. And who knew if Unown ate or not? "Okay, lemme reword that, it's mostly gone." The girl shrugged and subconsciously adjusted her bag, making it easier to reach her Pokemon. "I think we should be cautious. Whatever made the scientists leave made them do so in a hurry."

"Couldn't hurt." Jack nods and heads inside the store to look for a phone.

That was nice of him. She thought, then turned to Zanther
Heh, welcome to the Dragonite club. Sira smiled at him. Well, considering you keep it and raise it to that level. She gave a slight laugh, then directed her gaze towards the pokeball. Poor thing, I wonder what happened to it.

"Where did they go? I wonder if something or someone caught their eye and they left in a hurry. Lets split up and search for them. Or we could just stay here and wait a few hours before we go look for them?" Kelvin said as he took another look at the runes ahead of him.

Kaida is running this RP so she is the one who makes the call on who can and can't join and she hasn't posted since your first post so there's no reason to post again. Louanne scratched her head. "Splitting up could be a good idea," she agreed. "I want a way to keep in touch with each other, though. Do we all have some sort of Pokemon that can act as message carriers, maybe? Flying types or ones that run fast are probably best, so we can alert each other if and when we find something...or if something finds us." She eyed Flight. He cocked his head at her and clucked. "Ookay, if you really think you're up to it..." She returned her attention to the others. "Flight says he'll be mine."

(Trying to get this going again. I'll wait a few days for Kaida to respond to my post. If she doesn't, I'll just fake it and start ad-libbing stuff so we can get moving again.)

Jack quickly found a phone and dialed the number on the flyer so he could ask Mary for more details about her missing pokémon.
