Just read it.

George the fish

In the ocean, there was a fish. His name was George. As he swam about the ocean, he stopped by a doctor’s office. The doctor was a famous sturgeon-a wonderful fishician. While he was there, he saw a barbershop quartet-first tuna, second tuna, barituna, and bass. But he wasn’t really even sick-he just dropped by for the halibut. When he was leaving, he passed by a mackerel fighting a swordfish. The swordfish lunged at the mackerel! He lunged again! And again! Thanks to the swordfish, his opponent was a holey mackerel. George, would have stopped the fight, but he was floundering. And then the mackerel-he lunged at the swordfish! And then the swordfish lunged! And the mackerel lunged! In the end, they ate lunge together. George continued along, and saw his friend Luke the clam. George didn’t really want to talk (he reckoned Luke would ask him for a favor-he always was pretty shellfish), but decided to stop and chat anyway.

“Watch out behind you! There’s a shark!” Luke cried.

George didn’t believe him-Luke was always full of abalone-but decided to humor him. “What kind of shark?”

“It’s a pool shark!” He shouted.

“What do they look like?” prompted George.

Luke started to answer, but started stammering and eventually clammed up.

George looked at Luke. “You may be a clam, but you act more like a lionfish.”

Luke took offence to this. “I should leave before you.” He declared.

“Why?” asked George.

“Because I’m an oyster, and one should always cast pearls before swine.”

And with that, Luke was gone.

“Geeze, with friends like these, who needs anemones.” George said to himself.

George continued, and saw a field of wriggling worms. “That’s odd.” He said to himself. He saw a fish swim up to a worm and bite down. Suddenly, the fish was gone. He was followed by another fish, who was also yanked away after biting a worm. This happened a few more times, until all the worms were gone. ‘Hm.’ Thought George. ‘These fish are in schools, but they’re not learning.’

George considered turning home to the cave in which he lived. It was a pretty nice place, for a hole in the wall. He had come a long way to get here. Suddenly, a fish swam up with a manic grin.

“Hey! When you’re out in the sea and an eel bites your knee-that’s a moray!” He shouted.

Great. George didn’t like clownfish.

“Fish don’t even have knees.” George pointed out.

“But don’t you wish you did? Maybe we should form a group to get some! It would have to be JOINT effort!” the clownfish said.

“That does it. I’m going home.” George said.

And so he did.

Tell you what though, Stevenson does a great jobs saying that story.
He doesn't tell as many puns on this forum as he does in real life. Granted he's in real life more often, but his pun to normality ratio is still lower.

Yes, the puns! :hearts:

Even you guys that don't appreciate them have to admit... it takes skill to fit that many fish puns into one story.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

I'm not a big fan of puns, but the story is an impressive use of them.

That is the best thing anyone's ever said.

That aside, thanks for the comments. I may put some of my other writings.

And to those of you who liked it, I just hope that this wasn't a fluke.

I, for one, liked the puns. They were much better then the ones on 4Krap One Peice, at least.
